  1. Yeah, until we see an In-Box review of the Camaro, I have no idea what kind of Hemi it is either. It is just that the Camaro is supposed to have an extra engine, that gave me the idea. Between the Miss Deal Stude, this Yellow Fever and the Camaro, our "Cup Runneth Over" on 1960's-70's Drag Machinery.
  2. How Cool is that, Rex! Wish I could do that. A Bucket List, "E" Ticket Ride for sure!
  3. A Thread Starter for Discussions about this new Kit. IIRC, it has been noted to have a Ford Engine in it. I wonder if the Re-tooled Hemi from the "Jungle Jim Camaro" will fit in this kit. It sounds logical since both kits were tooled by Revell, and both will be coming from Atlantis now. A little judicious engine swapping might get you a Hemi Powered Fiat Screamer! Anyway, here we go.
  4. I read over on the other board, that some builders have had issues installing the taillights in this kit. Not sure what those issues are, but something to watch out for.
  5. Where did you see a mention of these kits? I looked and must have missed them. And this is now listed at Model Roundup as "Coming Soon" in April. Yellow Fever Competition Coupe Keeler's Kustoms
  6. I work in the oilfields now, and for Ten years before this for Schlumberger, and have worked in the past as a Dispatcher for a Tanker Co. delivering fuel from the refineries to gas stations. I know quite a bit about the whole California Gas situation. As Steve says, To tell the truth involves some ugly political truths, and the thread would be locked. I can say the this. California imports approx 70% of it's refined gas from foreign countries. We refine the other 30% ourselves. We have unique Taxes, Fuel Blends, and Supply Issues. 90% of our Gas moves by Truck since there are not many major pipelines. Lastly, there is a vocal and co-ordinated effort in Sacramento to shut down and stop ALL Oil drilling and refining. I won't say more than that except to note that this is not a conspiracy theory, as some California Leaders have given both Honest and Public statements to this effect. See many comments from the California Air Resources Board. (C.A.R.B.), and our Governor's pronouncement last year about wanting to ban all but Electric Cars by 2030-2035. So, Gas prices will shoot up here, and fall very, very slowly. My prediction is that the prices will rise past $7.00-$8.00, and then stall out. They will possibly start to drift slowly down in the Fall, when we change back to the cheaper Fall Blend. This assumes that the world political situation does not change for the worse regarding the World Oil Supply. If things worsen (for whatever reason) then things here in the U.S. could get far worse. And to the main point, is "Big Gas" stiffing us on the price? Yes, every chance they get. But, the Federal Government watches them closely in that regard, so it is a matter of pennies per gallon. Those pennies add up, but up until now, it has been kept in check by Gov't threats behind closed doors. Right now, however, circumstances are unique, and I have no idea what they are doing and thinking. That is all I can safely say.
  7. Wow! Strange looking, but Cool anyways.
  8. HPI Guy has built all of these. And the Rupp.
  9. California prices are going up every day now. I've seen it go up 20 cents in one day. Losing the refinery in Richmond will not help anything.
  10. Model Built by Ron Roberts. It is a very nice build.
  11. Yeah, there aren't many of us, but It is the Best way to Spell it.
  12. Only $70.00? It was $5.59 Per gallon yesterday, here in Central California. 16 Gallons was over $89.00..! L.A is even worse.
  13. Here are the original Instructions for the "Ala Impala" boxing. https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/amt-instructions/automotive-cars--pi/chevrolet/1951-1960/amt-58-chevrolet-im1/?view=roll#1
  14. Very Sharp Build! The Base Idea is great. What did you make the headlights out of? You have to be proud of those.
  15. Looks Sharp. I have seen similar ono to one cars at the Hot Rod Reunion. They are simple, frighteningly so, sometimes. You nailed the look.
  16. The B/B in the '37 is not bad, except for the lousy Blower Hat, and that can be swapped out. Thanks, I've a about four of those kits. I sold my Revell '68 Vette, sadly.
  17. The '69 Chevelle has the Blower I want. https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/amt-instructions/automotive-cars--pi/chevrolet/1961-1970/amt-1969-chevelle-s/1969chevroletchevel-8.html#media
  18. Thanks, Mark for Joggling my memory. The Engine does look small, now that you mention it. That Chevelle, That's what I wanted. Now to see If I sold that kit or not........
  19. I want to install a Blower on the AMT Packrat/Twister Drag Car. I am having a senior moment, and cannot think of any kit I can rob the Blower parts from , other than the AMT '63 Vette, which has an Okay, but not Great blower. Is there another kit I could Rob These Parts from?. I have several kits in my stash still, but my memory is drawing a blank. The AMT '70 Chevy Fire Chief has a Big Block but no blower. What am I overlooking? Thanks, Alan
  20. Not Mark, but I think so. The History on these kits is pretty tangled, and I am not sure anybody knows the whole story anymore. I wish they could find the Big Block from the GMC Kit with the Tri-Power.
  21. Xow, I don't think I have ever seen this build. Cool Car. Tim.
  22. Have you ever built a stock Model T Speedster? And, What do you think of the ICM Model T kits?
  23. Neat Idea! Build looks good so far!
  24. Well, Chris, Mark, Jim and Jesse. I guess I should have kept my mouth shut....
  25. Not sure, I guess, but Atlantis Decals tend to be Tiny. No Options in most cases.
