  1. The Metal Axles are not a real problem for me. The $70.00 price is, but I might get one. I wish Spotlight Hobby or Model Round-up would think about stocking these.
  2. Look at the tires in some of the Revell '32 Ford kits. Esp the older Roadster and Coupe kits.
  3. For an OOB build, you knocked out of the park! Mad Skilz!
  4. Great Stuff. I saw this movie many times at the Midnite Matinee.
  5. Your Stutz is here. https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/mpc-instructions/foreign--exotic/mpc-1914-stutz-bear/ MPC Kit. https://www.scalemates.com/kits/mpc-0630-bearcat-tv-hit-bearcats--1319067 I have the original TV Boxing in my garage.
  6. Yesterday. Even Google and the Whitehouse ignored it. WH issued a tweet (!?) remembering it at 8:45pm.... WTH? The 90-100 year old veterans of this must be wondering exactly what they fought for. $6.00 a gallon Gas? 8% inflation? But, they are alive, and this IS the USA, so all Honor and Praise to them!
  7. And 10.00 a gallon diesel is just going to make things worse.
  8. Funny, I liked the headers. I thought that the frame cut-out was clever.
  9. Yeah Chris, I'm a Mt Dew drinker, so no DeCafe for me.... I've said my piece. I do hope this sells! I do Hope this works well,, and given Tom Lowe's track record, it may do so.
  10. Dang, What a great build! I had the Four Door version of this car once. Mine was a sickly, faded yellowish colour, and had the "Baked in the Sun" Old Mopar Smell that you only get in the California Desert, Arizona or Texas. I remember getting it, driving it for 6 months and then junking it it when the engine and tranny died at the same time. I do miss it in a way.
  11. Add me in as another who supports the Bluesmobile. Another Geezer favorite, at least it will support the mythical "9 Variations per kit" standard that was always given as the reason why a crowd suggested subject could 'never be produced' because it did not support enough different kits. This whole Black Beauty kit has totally destroyed any future arguments by kit manufactures about why they will or will not produce a kit. It is now down to only one reason. Do we want to make it or not? Nothing else matters. Not Tool Costs! Not Public Clamouring for a Kit! Not Reasonable Sales Potential! I do not remember reading many folks asking for the Black Beauty as a model, and I frankly question the info that resulted in this choice. To judge from the "Lunatic Fringe" here on this website it seem to be a 6 or 7 out of 10 choice in the TV/Movie car sweepstakes. Certainly not a Top Ten vote getter. And a kit with no other potential uses........So it joins the Monkeemobile as a One Shot Showrod. Not a bad thing in itself, but not a mainstream kit. I just didn't realize that Round2 had money for a new Showrod Kit. Not trying to bag on you, Steve G, but this just seems to be a very retrograde decision from the leadership at Round2. I don't see the research that justified this investment. I just don't know anybody who has mentioned this show or it's Hero Car in conversation in the last 20 years......Maybe there is a Fan Base. But I see no evidence of it. At least not like the Blues Brothers, or even Cannonball Run.
  12. Neat! My Next door neighbor has a 1/1 Impala for sale right now. Quite the impressive car.
  13. I'd buy one. Of Course I want the Kingswood Wheels and the Monaro GT Engine.
  14. So, all new tooling money for THIS? I gotta be the Stick-in-the-Mud here. I fully understand that R2 caters to Geezers, mostly. At 59, I am now on the very cusp of Geezer-hood myself. But a 55 year old TV Series that was only two seasons long? For a show that was Good, but never Great? They choose to spend money on this? Maybe the Wonderfest crowd is correct. But, truthfully, this seems to be (To ME anyways) the answer to a question, few were asking. I hope it goes well.
  15. Yeah, I saw that. Looks like a nice build. The tires are "Very" funky, but will work. That 1990's tread pattern is just strange on this kit. But, that is a tiny nit-pick.
  16. I like the fact that I don't need to strip chrome from Revell's typical 1960's scale parts. Getting them to hold is always a gamble, and these parts will make getting a solid frame easier. Way to go. I just wish there had been a real Hemi to match the decals, rather than the heavy (and rare) Caddy motor. Just means I'll have to swap one if from the recent Jungle Jim car.
  17. I do like the Amphicat. Will make a nice load on a trailer with a Pickup or '78 Bronco. (Hint-hint)
  18. And, No.... 20 years too late, and a niche choice at best. And a Curbside! Much of the excitement on this one will artificially generated. Once the "Gotta have it First" guys make their purchases, It will become Ollies Shelf Fodder in 12 months........Even the Movie/Collectable Memorabilia market is limited. One & Done. Tell me again how we "have to be able to get 9 versions" out of a kit to justify the tooling dollars? I don't want to hear another word from any model Company about how they "Can't Justify the Tooling Dollars" for a widely requested subject, because the 'market just isn't big enough"........
  19. Indeed I do. I always liked the McCloud episodes best.
  20. My Holy Grail for kits would be a 1912-14 Mercer Raceabout, to go with the MPC Stutz Bearcat. Aurora was the only company to make both cars in the same scale as plastic kits. And Those were bigger kits, not 1/25. I had both Aurora kits, but Tire Melt and Time had ruined them. They had no engines either. Maybe, I should just try to hunt up Diecasts of each.
  21. It is pure Ugly. Straight Up, No Chaser!
