  1. I don't see how the '67 Vette Grille that is on the chrome tree is going to fit this kit. I guess that the '67 Grille is leftover from when the chrome tree was used on a '67 Vette? Casey is correct. Some great parts and kitbashing possibilities in this box.
  2. I just re-watched Chris's video build. Makes me want this kit even more. Maybe do a full stock build of it. It would look nice Setting next to a Stock Revell A-Model Build.
  3. Chuck, you are one of the sharpest observers here, and a whole lot better educated about both 1/1 and Model car kits, But, Just what the heck does this statement even mean.. I'm puzzled.
  4. Well, the Vette is nice. Not much else catches my eye though. Now I see the 3 engine options for the Vette. Wish they'd found the Blower Manifold. The Rest of the blower is there. Well, a good stash will have a part that will work.
  5. So, large Chunks of what will be in the new kit then. Thank You for posting these photos' They will be useful for a comparison when the new kit comes out.
  6. Wicked Tinkers, about 10 years ago, at the Scottish Festival.
  7. Thanks, Richard, you read my mind. At least you have saved me fruitless searching.
  8. My Dad's 1961 Chevy Pickup. 6cyl, Three on the Tree. Took my test in a '69 Plymouth wagon, 383 Auto.
  9. One other Live album, I like and still get out. Neil Diamond "Hot August Night" My mom played this on Saturdays, after the my sister and I finished watching Cartoons. She did housework, and her happiness listening to that album, has rubbed off on me. I can't play the album with stepping back to those Saturdays so many years ago. Thanks Mom!
  10. I agree with Mike. I have to say that I got sideways with a member of our (Tiny, no more than 15 members) Model Club about 12 years ago. I held a grudge and would not talk to him, for a couple of years. This was all 'Real Life, 1 to 1" stuff. The blame was probably 50/50, but I was the one who started it. I finally settled down, and apologized and we are friends again. Modeling (and the kerfuffle's it provokes) reminds me of an old joke about teachers that my Mom tells. Mom is a retired Teacher. "You know why infighting amongst Teachers is so Nasty? Because the stakes are so Low!" Ba/Dump Bump... Modelers of all kinds get in these absolutely towering, decade long fights over small plastic parts, AND the people who assemble them. Men who would not ever talk to their wives this way, Bring down Fire & Thunder on people they have never met except electronically. It is the very definition of Insane! If they had to stand in front of you and risk a poke in the nose, they would NEVER say what they do online. Internet Chat Rooms and Forums bring out the Jeckell and Hyde in people. I have no idea why. Anyway, This is a long winded way of saying, " Please Don't Go! We need your talents and perspective" But, If you do go, Fair Winds and Calm Seas.
  11. The Talking Heads "Stop Making Sense" Album from 1984. I've killed one CD and had to buy a replacement.
  12. Yah, but our point is kinda that when that Chevy box art was painted, the Chevy Pickup was 30/40 years in the future.
  13. Well, Round2 has certainly gotten a lot of use from this too. This is the 3rd time they have released it, with just different decal treatments. I wish they would do something 'sporty' like this with the other two kits from this series, the '40 Ford, and the '51 Merc.
  14. Yeah, it is. I think it was just 'filler' that was shown just to set the stage for the Chevy Team.
  15. How often does this kit ever get built as a Stock A-Model, I wonder. I've heard that the stock wheels are not very well done.
  16. No, I think he means the Chevy Pickup and Willys Team.
  17. Meh... But, It sells kits and pays for the refurbishment to tooling like the '64 Olds. So, it is a good thing in the long run.
  18. You are right, GarryR. We have gotten spoiled. Sometimes a kit is just a kit........
  19. Wasn't this the side box art on the last version? It has migrated to the top of the box this time? Nonetheless this will sell well. Everybody loves '49 Fords and the kit is filled with a great variety of custom parts.
  20. Mark D. I completely overlooked the factors you spoke of. Brian C, also makes a point I had not considered. I withdraw my critique of Moebius Boxart.
  21. Yeah, I wondered about the lack of a Tinted Window option my self.
  22. I have looked at the parts trees as closely as I can. The Features List touts 3 different Engine options, But I don't see the Blower Manifold. I wonder if it is there, or are there only the chromed parts of the blower? It seems, as Steve M. has noted that the Clear Headlight covers have not survived either. A small loss. Otherwise, the parts as shown appear to be in great shape. The Chrome tree looks more MPC, than AMT, to my eyes but others may know better, why that is. The Decals are adequate, and will serve for OTB builders. We get 8 (!) tires, and all 3 sets of headers that we in the 2 kits. A nice selection of options, all in all. And, I noticed two styles of 5 spoke rims. Is that the way the kit originally was? I can't wait see one of these kits "in-the-plastic", so to speak.
  23. Wish I could see the decals better. But, a good looking kit anyways.
  24. So. looking at the instruction sheets, Engine options from the ACcelerator, and a mish mash of parts from the Greenwood kit. It will make a Tasty Custom Corvette package. And at least 6 tires to go with fresh new decals. Looks like Clear Winner except for the Rep-Stock Guys. A Fun kit, but not a Serious one.
  25. Ah, thanks. Just no wedge parts in this one.
