Nice. But, really odd looking compared to American Tractors, Esp. the '38 & '50 versions. I believe these to be Lanz Bulldog tractors, but that is a guess.

For the front axle, you might look into a resin 1/24 scale URAL Truck. Only idea I have.

In the 90's and 2000's he had a long string of vintage kitbash builds of various old cars. His "Greed moves the Nation" '26 Mack Moving truck was one of his most memorable builds, but there where many others. His builds always included a long, fanciful prologue that set the story behind the builds. He was, I believe, an English teacher from Wadsworth Ohio, but I have not seen a story from him in a very long time. I hope he is okay.

Scott, I wanted to do a Land Rover, but there are no kits of the early "Narrow eyed" Rover. All the current Rover kits have the "Wide eyes", with the headlights mounted in the fenders (Or wings) rather than in the front grille panel. So the Jeep is my next choice. Besides I have driven a real CJ-5 from Phoenix Az to Bakersfield Ca. Easy trip, but loud, as my Jeep had Hollow Glasspacks. And the three speed trans meant I ran most of the trip near redline.

It was great to see the original 5 spoke rims restored back to the kit, instead of the iffy "Centerline" clones that have been in it for the last 30 years. But, I am disappointed by the 5 spokes. I had not realized how poor they look. The proportions for the center cap just look wrong. Maybe they are exact copies of 'something' from back then, but I've never seen them in any photos from back then. As for the Stock version, I think Dean Milano and a couple other guys have built stock versions. I remember seeing them in SAE many years ago. Lots of very heavy duty scratch building involved. I remember that the flathead 4 cylinder engine is from the Willys Jeep, so there is that. But, after that, a ton of work. Truthfully, other than the body, there is nothing else that is "stock" in the kit, so you'd need to acquire a Chassis, Interior, Engine and wheels for a stocker, as well as the missing front splash pan, bumpers, and other trim. I don't ever see a business case for a stock Henry J, as they were a pathetic failure as a real car. If not for a few drag cars, they'd be dead and forgotten.

I've been searching for a couple good Photos of the axle shafts of early Fords. '32-'40. I want to try to scratch build a couple of the shafts. I can just wing it, since they are so small in 1/25 scale, but I'd like to at least come close to what they look like. The pics pics I get on Google always seem to be the whole axle, not the shaft. Maybe I'm just not searching for the correct words. Thanks!

Ryan, that is lousy for sure! I know that it is not for everybody, but if you are young enough, have you considered Truck Driving? If you stay away from the 5 Biggest Companies (Swift, Ect.) There can be some decent money in it. Not all jobs are Long Distance trucking either. Look for jobs with Local Pickup & Delivery in the description. Anyway, I hear you about the pay cut. 2 weeks before Christmas shows either Desperation or Clueless Terminal Stupidity. Both reasons are a sign that it is time to start hunting a new job.
