Bob, here is HPI Guy's Build video. In the first part he shows the parts trees. I think I remember seeing the distributor and hoses. You might see if it shows them. HPI Guy has built all 4 fits in the series. (34 Ford, 36 Chevy, 77 Pinto, 76 Vega) All his videos of them are worth watching.

Great Scratch Building. It looks sharp.

Great Build! I like the 'sleeper' aspect of the car.

AMT Cinderbug Hot Rod
stavanzer replied to Modelbuilder Mark's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Mod Rod, has a Model B Banger engine with an overhead cam head, and Twin carbs. the O.H.C. Unit is very very 1920s. All versions of the '27 T kit have the O.H.C. Option parts, even the Police Car. Sadly the Fruitwagon is based on the AMT '25 T kit, and has only stock engine parts. You did a 5 star job on your hopped up engine. -
Of Course, I should have known!

Great Build, Pete. Has a 2 cylinder Porsche engine in it, right?

Revell 1/25 '41 Chevy Pickup 2'n1
stavanzer replied to Mr. Metallic's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
Wow, Tim, I had not ever heard that. Larry Greenberg first pointed it out. Once Seen, you cannot Un-See it, as folks around here like to say. I substituted an AMT 2 Carb intake on mine. -
Looks like it might have the Mini-Lite Wheels.

That Entex kit is a real Dog's Breakfast. You did a great job saving it. The wheels look very nice.

Very Sharp Build! Looks great!

I had one of these. 1980 Pinto Pony. 13" wheels and totally stripped. Radio Delete, and only Heater / Defroster. Nothing extra, Uncle Sugar bought these things bare bones as they could be built. Ran like garbage, and eventually failed the California Smog Test. It cost too much to repair, so I paid a junkyard to take it. (You had to pay junkyards to take Pintos back in the day. Completely worthless cars)

Neat Information! That is why I like to read here. Ford Parts on a Pontiac. Would've guessed!

Revell 1/25 '41 Chevy Pickup 2'n1
stavanzer replied to Mr. Metallic's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
The so called 'Hop Up" parts in this kit are a joke. The Valve Cover is nice, but the 2 carb into one intake manifold, that bolts onto the original intake is a sad joke. Revell could put this out again, as it is otherwise a great little kit. -
History of Monogram's Squarebody GM Pickups
stavanzer replied to Fabrux's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
Can we get the Mojave Mule and the Blazer back, please? The Mule is a favorite. Buddy down the street got one for his 11th birthday. I wanted one so badly. So 6 months later on my birthday, what did I get? The GMC Pickup.... I should have been happy with with, but you know how kids think. I wouldn't even open the kit for a month I was so bummed. However, I DID eventually open and build it. It was good kit. Best part, my buddy liked the GMC better than the Mule. He wound up with it in a trade, and I got a Red Baron showrod kit. (if you notice a Monogram theme, it is because the local toy store carried more Monogram kits than Revell. We hated Revell kits anyhow. Fiddly, Fragile & very hard to build, for us anyway. The Monogram kits went together in an hour or so. The Revell, sometimes never went together at all. And Many Revell at that time had awful 2 piece tires. At that age we played with the kits as much as built them. so the sturdy Monogram kits were clear winners.) -
Brad, You are correct about the trucks having the 402. I forgot about that engine.

We call that "Making Wounded Moose" noises in my family, Painted Black. I've not done it in about 5 years.....

The 400 IS a small block. I had one in a '72 Station Wagon. Miserable Engine. 2 Barrel Carb only and totally gutless on the topend. But It had gobs of torque. Smoke most Factory 350's off the line, then ran out of steam, about 5 seconds later. The 350 would beat me to the next stoplight every time. https://itstillruns.com/small-block-chevy-400-specs-7350617.html
