  1. Good Luck. I have the Yota, and can't wait to see what you do with it.
  2. Thanks for responding so quickly, Tim. I look forward to the various efforts that are happening regarding reviews of this kit. Alan
  3. I'll throw this out there. Tim Boyd, would you be willing to do one of your patented reviews of this kit? Would anybody be willing to help get a kit to Tim to review, if he says "Yes"? Tim's reviews are comprehensive and come with a full helping of historical background. This kit deserves the full treatment. I think Atlantis has a HUGE hit on their hands. I suspect that many, many modelers will be purchasing this kit in multiples, rather than singles. There will be many scratch building and kit bashing options with the parts in this box. Thanks.
  4. Is the Front Mount Blower the only engine option on the Revell 283? Thanks for the excellent photos, Jason.
  5. Fine Build! You really captured the look.
  6. Amen, Carl! Or at least the boat and trailer. They can put it with the Bronco, for all I care. However, not sure if Revell or Atlantis has the tooling now, and no good way to find out.
  7. Here is the link to the Drastic Plastic page for the '37 Chevy. Pick your poison. There is even a copy of the Salt Shaker, Bonneville Coupe build. https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/amt-instructions/automotive-cars--pi/chevrolet/1931-1940/
  8. You sure turn out some great builds, Mario! The work you do is top notch. This Dodge is a textbook example of 'How To Do' weathering on a model.
  9. Just Wild! A great piece of scratchbuilding. I really like it.
  10. His Hair was Perfect!
  11. A tip about the back-up camera. Since it only works in reverse, I will sometimes drop the gear into reverse quickly at a stoplight, to check on the car behind me. People are tailgating at stopsigns now, and it is a fast way to see how close they are. You have to have your brain in gear tho, as you don't want to leave it in reverse. I just have a quik pop in gear, and then it is back to drive. I find the backup camera to be useful, and my old whiplash injuries make turning to to look both ways, a lot harder now. But, like many here, I'm old enough that the "looking over your shoulder to back up" habit is a permanent part of my driving skillset. I'll agree that parking lots are dangerous now. I had my 2015 Hyundai squashed by a guy who claimed to have never seen me behind his car., But, he had to walk around my car (parked directly behind his. I was waiting for a space to open.) to get into his car. So, He walks around my car, slings his stuff into his trunk, get into his, and backs out, right into my drivers. I had no place to go, as I had other traffic boxing me in. At least the insurance paid with no problems.. I blame some of this on poor parking lot design., Smaller parking spaces, the use of the dreadful "straight thru" slots, instead of angled spaces, and narrower lanes, all contribute to over crowded lots with poor traffic flow, and long wait times. It is not helped by rude people, who just load'n'go either. I've watched couples have a full blown fight in the car, with it pulled halfway out of the slot. Thus, blocking everybody. Consideration for others, seems to be evaporating away. Rudeness, inattention, (or worse, Sheer Bloody Cluelessness), are on the rise. You should not Text and Park, but I see it all the time now.
  12. Great Build. I hope to see one in person someday.
  13. It is a great way to stretch your imagination. Give yourself permission to to things that are "Wrong". Stuff you would never do normally. I've found as I get older, my "What-if" sense has been shrinking. So, I've been trying to push back on my dwindling sense of fun. The Key (at least for me) is to Let myself go the way I did 40 years ago, when thoughts of "that would never work in real life" or "you can't do that" never crossed my mind. Good Luck! I'll be waiting to see what you come up with.
  14. eBay sellers parting out this kit in 3-2-1.......! Kit looks awesome. I'll bet Round2 narrow piecrust slicks will fit on this kit too. And, there are some nice extra wheels on the chrome tree. Talk about feeding the Parts Box! Bring on the Fiat!
  15. Thanks, Jim. Others will have pics posted soon.
  16. So, Pics incoming soon? Sounds Like a good deal already. How do the tires look?
  17. Is That a Spoiler for the Hardtop in Chris's Video? I've paused it, but It goes by too fast. I don't see a spoiler in the Drastic Plastic Hardtop instructions. Could it be from the Streaker Drag Racing version? If it IS a spoiler, I want one.
  18. Too Bad Round2 can't get that Ramcharger Dune Buggy into production. Cool Kit, and a great source of parts. (P. S. What does the Jerrycan look like?)
  19. Re: All Three Names. My Grandmother advised my wife and I, before we had our first, to Yell the prospective name out the back door, to see it sounded good. We actually tried it. Changed the middle name for son, because of it. The first pick for a middle name just didn't "work", when you said all three together. It works now. He 25 and probably has not heard all three names at once in 15 years. ?
  20. I got to spend yesterday at the "Hot Rod Reunion" at Famoso Drag Strip. Spent all day with one of my oldest friends, doing one of the things I like best. Got to see some great races, smell Nitromethane and burning rubber, and forget all the sad things happening in the world for a few precious hours. Turnout for Race Cars was fantastic. The Car Show in the Grove was just okay. About 75% full compared to 2 years ago when I went to the last one. The Crowd is getting older and greyer, but there are some new young drivers, who are really worth watching. The Cacklefest was okay, but a bit less than usual. Great to see "Freight Train" Cackle, however!
  21. I read (and sometimes, comment on) threads about subjects that don't always seem to interest me. However (especially because of "Thread-Drift", I sometimes see and learn about things that I've never heard of. And, I learn something new. So, few threads are a complete waste of time. I'll be avidly awaiting pics and previews of this kit when it comes out.
  22. Exactly what I was talking about, Chris. Thanks for posting.
  23. Mike C, I believe You. I've seen Ford Flat heads (different from your Dads, running like the one shown here. I know a tiny bit about the Fish Carbs, but I've never seen one. The "men's magazines" My Dad, had two orange crates full of "True-the Men's Magazine" in the garage growing up. I read all of them. Some Neat Stuff, Some Dross, and some things that I could tell even at 14 were complete BS. I still wish I could go through them one more time.
  24. This is a great Idea, Tom! I hope it works well for you. I'll second the Lazy Susan idea, for at least one shelf.
  25. Yeah, I have one of those Coupe's in my stash. I'll have to try to dig it out and see what it says on the box.
