Those Hubcaps look vaguely 'ford-ish' or 'AMC-ish' to me. Maybe the stock hubcaps from the AMT Sunbeam Tiger, might be a place to start, however.

I have two of the Black Ones, and One of the Red. Saving them for a future build. I Fancied building one as a 'Mad Max' styled machine many years ago. Maybe now is the time to tackle that build. -
Oh, Okay.

His work was always so laser sharp. My prayers for him and his family.

Cue the "I'd buy it, but it's not 1/25 scale" in 3-2-1.......

Nice Stripes, Jeff. Are those Factory Stock Hubcaps?

Can you say, Dog River PD cruiser? That's how I see it anyway. (Dog River, Saskatchewan, from Corner Gas)

Yes, Scott, exactly like that.

Yeah, I missed the Fireball F-250 Conversion. It will be nice to have the Moebius Version. I hope it has stock rims with the 16.5" tires from back in the day. -
I've Checked, Steve. Both the Nova and Ventura existed at the same time. Different Bodies and chrome trees, and some trim parts, but two separate kits, sharing Chassis, Engine and interior parts. I'd really like to see the Ventura. (maybe after they run the '68 Coronet for George P)

The Cat with the Police Dog tabbard, was the funniest thing I've see all week! Thanks for sharing that.

I cannot wait to see photos of the New Mooneye's Kit. Whit Plastic, New Tires, Fresh Decals! What a Rush!

Has anybody ever built this kit stock? I don't think I've seen one, that wasn't built as a Rod of some kind. Makes me wonder what it would look like.

Hey Round2, How about this kit? https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/mpc-instructions/automotive-cars--pi/pontiac/1971-1980/mpc77pontiacventura7703/?view=roll Be something that you could do a One'n' Done type deal. Since the chassis is shared with the already released Squad Rod Nova from a couple years back, it might be feasible to do. Open up all the gates and throw in a set of the nifty 5 Spoke Mags and 2 sets of tires, add some snazzy new decals, and I predict a (modest) Winner! So, How about it?

Look in old (1940's to 1950's) Popular Mechanics & Mechanics Illustrated Magazines. I remember reading several articles showing off the Vehicles (Both Surplus Jeeps and the Junk Chassis Snake mentions) featured in them. They were mostly bare, raw chassis, with prominent Roll Bars, and dual rear wheels/tires. As you segue into the Early 1960's, you begin to see VW Cars, but not the Meyer's Manx. Just homemade cut down jalopies. In fact almost all the rides you see from 19478/48 to about 1962 are best described as Jalopies, in the truest since of the word. Just Fun, Hand Built Dune Toys, built and run for next to nothing by back yard gear heads.

The FJ-44 is the only Vehicle I'd really like to to see, Tamiya or Hasegawa really do. Pull out all the stops and do something that compares to the Revell Land Rover. The only other thing would be a Toyota Sienna Minivan, but only because I drive one. (2014, please)

Very Nice, Bob. You can make these old Hudson Kits really stand out!

Thanks, Jo, for the steer on the Slixx Decals. I've checked both there and Powerslide for stuff. None of it is really what I wanted. I'll find something and make do. It is just amazing to me how little Olds gets their name out there. Most Olds Racers, (Drag or Circle) have very subdued or non-existent branding compared to other GM stablemates. While at Ford, they slap that Blue Oval on anything that moves. No Wonder Ford has such strong branding. Looking at the Olds 442 Racers from Salvino's one can find several decal sheets. Many don't have either the Rocket Logo or the word "Olds" anywhere on them. If I didn't know better, I'd think Olds was ashamed of their cars. Kinda sad, but to me, it does help explain why GM had to kill the brand when they did. Lackluster Cars, and no name recognition. Sad.......

Ah. Thanks Casey.

I'm very curious to see if the "new" Revell will re-issue this kit. Combined with the Trailer we just saw in the Half-Cab Bronco kit, and a Honda Odyssey or something else from the older Revell tool bank, it would make a great 3'n'1 Kit.

Rick, this is another kit from the Mythical "B Team" at Round2. Another "Just good enough to get by" kit. IMHO, All Sizzle, and not much Steak. I know there is NOT really a B Team over there, but Kits like this really get my goat. All Hype, and very little in the box. And listed at Full MSRP too. The "Special Features" call out, is longer than the actual features, and Vintage Boxart doesn't sell kits to many folks any more, especially to kits like this. IMHO. I bought 4 of the SS kits. I will not need any of these.......

Despite Marco's superb finishing skills, The engine looks like a well painted toy, as Pete noted. The Knock Offs are huge! I predict many disappointed modelers and a bunch of half finished builds, followed by a general sales slump and quick fade from the market.

Wow! A Home-Run for sure, Dave. Looks tasty.

Thanks, Steve and Casey. Those are nice but so small. I was hoping to find something a bit bigger, in Billboard style for the flanks of the car. More like the "Plymouth" on the sides of the Superbirds. I may have to try to hunt down a couple of those '72 Olds sheets though. I need two of the #18.

I have that 3 Window kit, only to donate the Jag Independent Rear end to a Future planned Roadster build.
