1/25 AMT Surf Shark 1959 Cadillac Ambulance

Boy! Decontent the kit much? Decals look good. -
I know Tim's build inspired me! I really liked the colour, and used it in a couple builds, back then.

Boy, Round2 is getting their money's worth out of that Mach One kit. I don't blame them for doing so. I hope it's molded in white this time.
-
Greg, great save! I agree with you, spares of a few decals would be very nice, Round2 seems to be doing that on more and more kits. It is great when they do that.

Got my '34 Ford kit ordered. I had vacillated between the Tudor Sedan and the Coupe. I had chosen a coupe, but since I'm doing this, I've chosen to go with the Tudor Sedan instead. More Cargo Room, and the weight differences seem negligible. I partially based this change on reading the story of "Ruby" the Model A, sedan that completed the P2P a few years ago. One Thing I know that I'll do, after reading their story. I'll take a few extra wire wheels, if I chose to keep them. So, Now I start on the engine, and wait.

1/25 AMT 1978 Ford Bronco "Wild Hoss"

Jens, what a great build of the Bronco! That has to be the best rendition I have ever seen. You really nailed the "spirit" of the real vehicle.- 326 replies

As to when this will see a Re-Issue? My vote is squarely on "Never". Revell does not appear to to even know what kits they have in their tool bank anymore. So, my first pass answer, remains, "Never Again". If you want one, buy one. Do not wait. This advice applies to almost any Revell kit that is not in their current catalog. If you want a certain Revell kit, buy one now, and don't wait for Revell to re-issue it. Will Revell keep re-issuing older kits? Of course they will. But, Ed Sexton and the other "true Believers" appear to have less 'pull' with the Mothership about what kits get chosen to re-issue. So, I expect that the scattershot, "throw it against the wall, and see if it sticks" release schedule to continue. This makes me sad, but this is what I see. A few well chosen Modified New Release kits, and odd forays into the tooling that is still held by R/M. I hope I am proven wrong.

What an awesome tip! Thanks, For Sharing

Not Sure. But, worth a test fit.

Of course we continue, Pete. An Extra year of build time is not to sneezed at!
-
No Problem. Hope they help, and hope you can get started on your Henry, soon. After seeing your '34 Track Car, I look forward to seeing your Henry.
-
Thanks, Pete. I'll have to study some pics of Stutz cars to see how I stow all the gear needed for the Race on an open Two Seat Racer. One Trunk, Two Running boards and a couple fenders. Be a real trick to getting it all to fit!

Here are links to two copies of the instructions. As other have said the engine is supposed to be a Ford 427, but is a poor representation. Wheels were retooled to resemble Centerlines in the 1980's but are not great either. Here is an old set: https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/revell-instructions/straightline-competition/revell_51_henry_j/?view=roll Here is a newer set: https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/revell-instructions/straightline-competition/revell-51-henry-j-d/?view=roll and the new decals are better IMHO, than the last issue. https://www.modelroundup.com/1951-Henry-J-Gasser-p/rmx-4514.htm And the original 5 spoke wheels look like they have been added back!

I hear you Bob, but digital is obviously failing for many magazines, so I do not see Online/Digital/Cloud, ect. ect. working either. I wish I knew what the answer is.

Great Build, Brian. You inspire me, on my long-stalled build.

Looks Good. You can never have enough Jet Cars!

I was in the last one, and never finished the build. I still have a box full of parts I collected. I'll try to get a car completed this time, so count me in. For those keeping track, it is a 1934 Ford. I wonder if a Stutz Bearcat would work? Edited to add: I found the kit, I had started. I still have my P2P Decals and Car Roundels w/ Entry number. I was #5. Found a started '32 Ford Phaeton too. Which to build? Finish the '34 or start the '32? Decisions, Decisions........

2021 IPMS Nationals Kit Information
stavanzer replied to niteowl7710's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Given how badly shipping is snarled right now, my guess is that the webmasters have just stopped showing items until the kits are actually in the warehouse, ready to be shipped. I could easily be wrong about this. -
History of Monogram's Squarebody GM Pickups
stavanzer replied to Fabrux's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
Casey, as you said, I'll keep my fingers crossed. I've got a 'Mud Mudder', not sure what year that come out, but that is the last time I think that the Blazer tool saw plastic. I wonder if Atlantis has this tool? It is a sibling of the GMC Snowplow/ Big Country Game Truck and the recent '76 Chevy Stepside kit, but a different tool. I think Revell has the Bronco and the Ramcharger SUV's, but the whereabouts of the Blazer tooling are very uncertain. Ah, well, We have the AMT Blazer/Jimmy twins from the previous body style. Best to be happy with that, I guess. -

Revell Bronco,Trailer & Buggy

Fantastic Builds. As others have said, great choice of colours! I remember seeing racing setups in similar bright colours many years ago, in my teens. I like seeing both Buggy's in one shot.
