Well, Adam we ARE getting the '64 Olds With the Awesome Judson Superchargers! So there is hope. But even if they DO listen to us, I figure we would not see the kit until early 2022. So many other projects in front of it. That's alright though. I can wait.

You can. Well, Stock-ish, anyway. Fill the hole in the hood, and use the hubcaps from the Christine kit. Not perfect, but close.

On another thread, mention is made of a later release having the trailer. I'd be keeping my powder dry for that one, if I was to purchase any of these kits. I'd need the decals from this one, though.

I suppose there is no kit of the '64 Chevell 300 Sedan, is there?

I just saw this. Horrible news, indeed.

I'd be happy to see Round2 run this kit again. There is no need for the execrable "Kotter" figures to ever re-appear either. Round2 could add those (relatively) newly tooled 5 spoke mags that have been included in a half dozen kits now. Add a set of tires with Wide Whites on one side and pinstripes on the other. Design some Radical Decals (One of Round2's Strongest Skills, now), and I think the kit would work well. Run no more than 1500-2000 of them, and see what they do. As CapSat 6 says, unblock everything in the tool, and let the buyers decide what they want. A quik check of the '69 and '71 Grand Prix instruction sheets over at the Drastic Plastic archive, shows that the G/P base kit has never had any engine options. There have been the Faux spare tire overlay for the trunk, the snazzy side pipes, and a whole group of snow skiing extra parts, as well as the "Wild Put-on Parts" from the '71 issue. If any of these pieces still exist in the tool, they would enhance the kits value. Throwing in the snow tires would be a nice thing if the Skis, sled and other winter parts are still there. And this does not count the "Super Fly" parts that might still be in the tooling as it exists now. All in all, I think a good case can be made to run it as it sets now. "

What Pete J says is correct from all I've ever read. So, ranting about European this or Oddball that, is really beside the point. Two groups of engineers, separated by time, geography, and the business demands of their respective employers, settled on two slightly different scales. It can be annoying, I'll admit. But, it was not ever about upsetting customers, for what were originally designed as "essentially disposable" Children's toys. These tools were never really intended, 50-60 years ago to last until the 21st Century. They have and we're "almost" always happy to have the product they produce. There is no reason that most manufacturers are going to switch to a different scale going forward, when it does not mesh with their back catalog. Revell is the only one who seems to have done so. Revell, now a mostly European company, is of course going to design new kits in a scale that is sold world wide. They are, after all, a global company serving a large global market. The USA is now a Modeling backwater, as hard as that is to hear. Revell, is happy to sell here. I doubt that US likes and dislikes are a big factor in product development in a German Company run by Bankers. Are US wants/desires a factor in Revell thinking? Of course. But they are not the dominant factor anymore. This can be seen just by looking over the last 18 months of product and announcements coming from Revell. Many People like the Two Snap Tractor Kits however, note that they are of German Prototypes, not Farmall or John Deere. Sadly, US desires in new kit subjects, are no longer a Major Factor going forward in a now Global Business. China is the Key market now, with Asia, and then Europe. Our buying and building is driven by Likes/Dislikes and Passions. All Model Companies new kit development is driven by Desire first and Business Case second. And Business Case always wins in an "Era of Low New Kit Tooling budgets", and Shallow Sales Numbers.

I've seen them before, but those are wonderful Builds, Tom. Hard to believe that one of them is a 24 hour Build.

Atlantis will sell you the Newly Tooled Glass for the fuel truck. Those Spray Paint, and Duct Tape numbers will not be seen on Mod Stock kits, I think. But the Mad Max and Dystopia crowd, Heck Yeah! I just like the Fresh Thinking and new approach that the new decals Display.

Boy the difference in effort is dramatic. The '65 Chevelle Decals are a tired re-pop of the originals, and not worth buying the kit for. The Two new sets! Wow! Hats off to Round2 for taking the time to update the kits with all new decals, and not phoning it in. I might be tempted to get those kits......

I'll say that the Hasegawa XJS is the Dead Nuts accurate kit. Revell kits of the time frame that the XJS were tooled are notorious for having niggling accuracy issues. I've reading reviews of the Hase kit for many years. Never once seen anybody cheep about the body being wonky. You are the first person who has ever mentioned it to my knowledge.

Indeed. If we are wanting kits restored, this would be great candidate. Just make sure the chrome plating is done well.

Just Jaw-Droppingly Fantastic build! No other way to describe it.

When I was still working on Acura's at the dealer, I found that having learned a couple of Potent Japanese Curse words, really helped when it came time to cuss out the cars. I don't need those kind of words anymore. I've stopped doing things that prompt me to use them....

Huh! The Box art must really foreshorten things. I'd have never guessed that the Wild Willie frame would fit under a full size Vette body, without adjustments. I learned something today

I've never seen that Vette bodied car. Must be a radically shortened body.
