  1. Yeah, but what's that Fuel Tank from, Lee? It is really cool!
  2. So, will you be doing a review of the Chrysler Kit, Tim?
  3. Yes, it should (sadly) share the same wheel issue.
  4. Today? For once in a Blue Moon, Nothing Irked me today. Kinda nice, but there is always tomorrow.
  5. Thanks, Snake! I needed that. Been missing Charlie, the last couple of days.
  6. Izzat Da Gnu Boxart, For Dis Release?
  7. And, looking at the parts layout, notice that the bike is now all on one sprue by itself? IIRC, in the original kit, parts for the cycle, are scattered, Higgledy-Piggledy over the car sprues.
  8. I bought one of those Original Imperials about 12 years ago just for the Motorcycle, Dale. I'm glad to have it. It's a nice kit. Now I can build one.
  9. Oh, How Awful! I'll miss him, especially.
  10. I'll be getting a Resin Bench seat, and building mine with a 327 from another kit. Those are all the concessions I'm making for my build.
  11. This is thread just for the new GMC Jimmy kit. I'm excited about this kit. I'm hoping that the Soft-top and Mini-bike will be included in this kit. The Mini-bike was just out, in the '86 El Camino kit, so it's available. The GMC headlight lenses are still on the clear sprue. I'd really like to see the dual carb intake that was in the very first, (1970 Chevy Blazer) release of the kit. Both Air Cleaners for this option are still on the Chrome tree, and the Chromed "Buzzard Bar", from that first issue, come back too. I doubt that they will come back, but i can always hope. Lastly, now I can build a copy of the Sheriff's Jimmy, from the "Milagro Beanfield War". One of my favorite movies.
  12. Izzat the '57 Chevy, blown 409 in that built up?
  13. Gonna take some work to ensure that all 4 rear wheels track correctly. Thanks for showing the bottom, Casey. The directions at the link do not show any of the axle details. It is truly a product of it's era. More a 'representation" than a replica.
  14. And, Can I use the little '63 Chevy wagon to pull the Drag Car? The future is so bright, I've got to wear shades!
  15. Cool Story. What a Neat Woman. What my Grandfather would have called a "Pistol!"
  16. Was at my HL Wednesday. More empty spots on the Car Shelves. No More "Supernatural" kits. The '59 Chrysler is gone too. No other new kits, it's now S.S.D.D. (same stuff-different day)
  17. For those who may not remember back to 1972, here are some pics and directions of the kit. The directions are very poor. No mention of the extra wheels/ axle out back and no mention in the directions of the stock parts that were called out on the boxtop. Some Nifty Extra parts though. NOTE!! I have no idea what Boxart Round2 will choose. https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/mpc-instructions/automotive-cars--pi/chevrolet/1971-1980/mpc-71-chevrolet-ra/
  18. These are not "Real" Taxi markings, but if you are OK w/ fictional companies, they might work. https://www.modelroundup.com/product-p/gr-11059.htm
  19. Frame is Jowett Jupiter, with a VW Front axle.
  20. RC Co-Cola at my house. I'm Californian, but RC has been my go-to for 25 years now. I'll drink the others, but when I'm buying, it's RC, all the way. Back to the thread.... I'm tremendously happy that Tom Lowe can leverage Coke Memorabilia Collectors into paying for Fresh Kits, for us. The Coke decals are a nice bonus, but otherwise I'm getting fresh new plastic, and sometimes Neat Accessories. The large Coke Cooler in the '61 Ranchero, will sell me the kit. I'd like a few more of the Green Coke Bottle "Cases" that are out there, but I've not wanted a kit that has them, enough to buy that kit. All the Joking aside, if putting Coke Decals/Logos on a kit, will get me more kits, then I'm all for it. I don't quite understand the folks who gripe about the Coke branded kits. It's not hurting them. Coke Collectors are subsidizing our kits! What's not to like? It means Round2 has some more money to spend on stuff WE want. Like the '64 Olds that is coming back. I want more of that. Bottom line, is that if Round2 has to sell Coke Kits to better afford restoring old tooling, then Good for them.
  21. Mine is on deck to be a Fire Chief's Car. They often bought nicer cars than the PD.
