  1. Yes, I wonder what else is hiding in plain sight on that sprue?
  2. That livery Looks really cool! I may hafta get one, just for the decals.
  3. My 1926 Model T Ford Speedster. My Favorite, although the '17 Kia Sorento, run a close second. The T was stolen in 1993. I still miss it!
  4. "They'd Complain if they was hung with a New Rope", my Grandfather always said. I see more and more of this in people today. It often occurs in tandem with "Veruca Salt Syndrome. "I want it NOW, Daddy!" No matter what Games, Cars, Toys or other consumer products are brought out, there are folks asking for something just a bit different. "It Only Comes in Red, Blue and Green, Sir. "Okay, but Can I get it in Orange?" "It comes in Base, Midgrade, and DeLuxe versions. Okay, Can I get the Base with a couple of DeLuxe Features?" Argh!
  5. Mark, you beat me to it. MOPAR had some truly forgettable and stodgy designs in the late '40's and early '50's. There is a reason they were the number 3 seller for so long.
  6. Good Luck, Mike! I hope you find work.
  7. Thanks, Dave. That Chrome Tree has more parts, than I remember seeing in the most recent issue of the kit.
  8. Ian, your Hardtop is coming. Best to save up and start planning to buy a case.
  9. So, it returns again. I expect it will be a straight re-issue of the most recent "Pepper Shaker" kit? It would be nice if the could open up a few more welds on the chrome trees. There is quite a bit of open space on the sprues, for an ex-Trophy Series kit. Be nice to see some long lost parts return. Either way, though, this kit is popular and always sells very well. Be nice to have it back at Hobby Lobby.
  10. I like the scale Cobblestone texture parking lot, you posed them on!
  11. I agree with you. Hondamatic! It would be cool to see the Badman parts in the box, too.
  12. Looking back at the thread, I see why I was fooled. The 2012 release showed the Cover over the loadbed. This boxing shows the Dragster. It was just different enough to not trigger recognition.
  13. You are doing great work. Here in California, back then, many dealers would mount a Diamond Plate Step Bumper like the one in the kit, on every truck they sold. It was simply required by most customers, so they seldom sold a truck without it. I can remember more than a few Saturdays spent at the shop, installing bumpers, to put on the lot, for the 'Big Sale' over a Holiday Weekend. (and I also recall, removing a bumper from a sold unit, for a customer who refused to pay for an Add-on bumper)
  14. Found a review of the kit, with photos of the contents, for those who have never seen it. https://www.cybermodeler.com/hobby/kits/mpc/kit_mpc_0787.shtml
  15. Good Ideas, John. I'm trying to keep copyright issues out of it though.
  16. Paint that Duster 'John Deere Green' and use yellow decals. Call it the "Crop Duster"!
  17. I agree with you. They are doing better in that regard.
  18. Different Truck, I think. Anybody have a link for the Instruction sheet for this kit? I thought Drastic Plastics had it, but I cannot find it there.
  19. Posted December 11, 2021 "As to when this will see a Re-Issue? My vote is squarely on "Never". Revell does not appear to to even know what kits they have in their tool bank anymore. So, my first pass answer, remains, "Never Again". If you want one, buy one. Do not wait. This advice applies to almost any Revell kit that is not in their current catalog. If you want a certain Revell kit, buy one now, and don't wait for Revell to re-issue it. Will Revell keep re-issuing older kits? Of course they will. But, Ed Sexton and the other "true Believers" appear to have less 'pull' with the Mothership about what kits get chosen to re-issue. So, I expect that the scattershot, "throw it against the wall, and see if it sticks" release schedule to continue. This makes me sad, but this is what I see. A few well chosen Modified New Release kits, and odd forays into the tooling that is still held by R/M. I hope I am proven wrong." You can see here, how badly wrong I can be, when I make guesses. Glad to see this kit coming back.
  20. My hope was that they'd have at least included the blower parts (THAT WERE ALREADY PART OF THE CHROME TREE), and maybe give us 2 set of wheels, which is pretty much the lowest bar to clear for a 2'n'1 kit. Even Maisto and Burago Diecasts usally give at least 2 sets of wheels.
  21. Well, Kurt, I've got Beer Tastes and a Kool-aid Budget, so I can't help. Where I work we have drilling rigs waiting for the State of California to issue permits. Some permits were approved last August. Rigs are still waiting for the approved permit, to be issued. (Approving & Issuing, are two separate processes here) No work can start until the permit is issued. It is one gigantic furball of fubar.
  22. I'm sorry Patrick. I fat thumbed the year. I meant '50 Merc, but you are correct. A '51 Would Be Great!
