  1. I let my FSM Scrip lapse. Just not enough content in the mag, and digital is a dead-end for hobby mags. Despite Jim King's rosy picture, Kalmbach's web content has been hard to access and only fair when you can manage to log in. The whole "E-magazine" thing will only work when access is almost effortless, and FSM is not there yet. In fact, they've never been close, in all the years I've been aware of the site. The forums are poor and the moderators have a very heavy hand. All in all, at least for me, as a paying FSM customer, the ROI in cyberspace has negative the whole time. I won't be back. (All opinions are solely my own. Your Mileage May Vary.)
  2. I'll support the 'bad drivers' comments. They have been getting steadily worse on the evening commute to work. This 'passing on the right' fad is especially bothersome, IMHO. cutting others off, and trying to squeeze in where there is no room seem to be the biggest issues. And those problems all seem to be caused by Sail Fons (Cell phones) taking over as the center of attention. Texting while driving is getting more and more common. Frankly, it scares me some nights.
  3. Yeah, The Decal sheet for this kit is awesome! Sean Indeed does great work.
  4. A whole lotta 'Meh' on the list. As somebody else said, "Dig Deeper". The Ricksha is not one of the better kits, and even as a source of parts, it is very thin. Nice to see the '56 Ford and the '32 Vicky, but the rest are, tepid, to say the least. I'd like to see another Mod Stock kit to go with the Hauler, and the '53 Ford is what was in the box the last time around. It would be better given the age of the cars in the Mod Stock series to have chosen the '72 Chevy or the F-350 Ford. So, after the hub-hub over the '63 Wagon dies down it's just Same Old-Same Old for a few months.
  5. Found this on the GM Squarebodies. https://www.macsmotorcitygarage.com/the-square-bodies-gms-1973-87-light-trucks/
  6. Stephen, I hear you....?
  7. Bob, here is HPI Guy's Build video. In the first part he shows the parts trees. I think I remember seeing the distributor and hoses. You might see if it shows them. HPI Guy has built all 4 fits in the series. (34 Ford, 36 Chevy, 77 Pinto, 76 Vega) All his videos of them are worth watching.
  8. Great Scratch Building. It looks sharp.
  9. Great Build! I like the 'sleeper' aspect of the car.
  10. Great Job. Always need more Emergency Vehicles. aRe those wheels in the kit?
  11. I have a pair of Cinderbugs if anybody has an interest. P.M. me.
  12. I really like the wheels on this build! Not what I would have chosen, but the work really well.
  13. Great Build. NIce to see a Stutz Touring Car.
  14. Mod Rod, has a Model B Banger engine with an overhead cam head, and Twin carbs. the O.H.C. Unit is very very 1920s. All versions of the '27 T kit have the O.H.C. Option parts, even the Police Car. Sadly the Fruitwagon is based on the AMT '25 T kit, and has only stock engine parts. You did a 5 star job on your hopped up engine.
  15. Of Course, I should have known!
  16. Nice Jeep. I had a '79 CJ5 with the 304 V-8 and a 3 speed. I still miss it.
  17. Great Build, Pete. Has a 2 cylinder Porsche engine in it, right?
  18. https://fristartmuseum.org/1930-henderson-kj-streamline/ https://riders.drivemag.com/features/5-not-so-ordinary-motorcycles-henderson-streamliner/ Neat.
  19. Wow, Tim, I had not ever heard that. Larry Greenberg first pointed it out. Once Seen, you cannot Un-See it, as folks around here like to say. I substituted an AMT 2 Carb intake on mine.
  20. Looks like it might have the Mini-Lite Wheels.
  21. That Entex kit is a real Dog's Breakfast. You did a great job saving it. The wheels look very nice.
  22. Very Sharp Build! Looks great!
  23. I had one of these. 1980 Pinto Pony. 13" wheels and totally stripped. Radio Delete, and only Heater / Defroster. Nothing extra, Uncle Sugar bought these things bare bones as they could be built. Ran like garbage, and eventually failed the California Smog Test. It cost too much to repair, so I paid a junkyard to take it. (You had to pay junkyards to take Pintos back in the day. Completely worthless cars)
