  1. Try these.
  2. To echo what David G and NOBLNG said, the colour you chose is very Period Correct. Makes a beautiful model, just as it is.
  3. Looks good. That MRC kit is nice, but very fiddly. The Revell kit of the Bell-47 is much nicer, IMHO.
  4. Man, I really like that "Rolls"! There were two makes of car in the 1920's that copied RR's distinctive grille. I'd fix up that thing and call it either a "Moon" or "Roamer", after the 2 makes from the 1920's. "What is it?" "It's 1962 Roamer Convertible Sedan, Only one ever Built!"
  5. Sounds good to me John. I'll be watching "Worm-on-Tongue"..... (Baited Breath)
  6. I am truly blessed. I can work from home. We have food, and supplies. (even TP). The Grand Squirrels and their folks, live right across the street, so we can visit each other. My daughter has taken over 90% of the cooking for both families, and is ordering things we need online, and having it delivered. So, in all we are in good shape. It was 85 degrees outside yesterday, so the kids could go outside and get some fresh air. I'm spending too much time online, and between work and the Honey-Do list, I've not had any time to model. Maybe later, but none now.
  7. I had this one. It was quite fun. I need to track down a copy and play it with my Grand Squirrel. https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/1551/sub-search
  8. That second slot is for and upright spare tire/wheel. Kinda of odd look.
  9. Most of you guys have probably seen this, but here it is again. https://carpyscaferacers.com/long-lost-32-three-window-found/
  10. I have this kit. While very the engraving is very petite, there are no separate Dog Dish hubcaps. It is all one wheel, which really very sad, since the base wheel that this part is supposed to represent is a body colour rim and a small chromed cap. A complete and total fail on the part of Round2. They should have not done it at all, if they were just gonna Half-Donkey the job. Somebody "Saving Money" again, that results in a complete botch of the job. Even the Box Art shows a painted rim and a chromed cap. Not what you get when you open the box though. This kind of thing drives me just crazy. Would it have really cost THAT much more to do it right? There are plenty of "Tells" that this was a rush job. The pitifully small, "City of Troy" only Decal sheet. The Forgotten engraving on the speaker box on the small, chrome tree full of Police parts. (Small box that goes below the radio is smooth and slick. No grill texture at all. Nothing on the decal sheet either), The new "Stock" wheels that are all chromed. I know. Other will come back at me with the rejoinder, "Better to have this, than nothing!" Well, I feel, that is what I got, Nothing. I paid full price for an un-finished kit that was pushed out the door, before QC had been finished. If they weren't going to do it right, why bother? I'm always up for nostalgia builds, and I'm happy to purchase reissues of kits that I have ever had the chance to own before. That said, Round2 Seems to be shooting themselves in the Foot lately in regards to these "Resurrected Kits". The '77 Pinto was just really a sad little kit. So was the real kit in '77, I assume, but the silly decals, and the lack of any build options just made a bad thing worse. The Pinto Popper, tried to do better, and succeeds in small ways. The Bonus Coke Machine, and the Pintera Body parts, along with some optional tires help to spice up a still weak kit. The Turbo is nice. I'd have liked to have seen that one Lone, Stock Ford Wheelcover cloned three more times. This Fire Chief car is just more of the same. I've noted before that Round2, seems to have an "A Team" & a "B Team" in kit development. The A Team kits, get the 1st Class treatment. 8 or 10 tires (stock, custom, & slicks, if needed), huge decal sheets, and added parts, and thoughtful touches. (Cardboard bases, or neat extras). The "B Team" kits on the other hand, always seem to end up, not being able to deliver on the promises made by the box art. Few Tires, downsized decals, and general "Overpromise & Underdeliver" vibe that is Toxic in retail. And for the last time, Kats, Retro Box Art, is simply expected, not a Sales, Bullet Point!!!!!! Rant Over.
  11. That is Lyle Waggoner falling off the couch.
  12. I really like your Work, Tim. The Williams Bros Lewis gun is a nice touch too.
  13. Looks like it came straight from a Beach Boys, Album Cover, photo shoot. Way to nail the Cali Surfer Vibe!
  14. Adam, Thanks. He had Canadian Inlaws, as he married a girl from Vancouver. That might explain it.
  15. Thank You, John. Cats can be more intense pets than dogs, and most live longer. Really hard to lose one. I share your loss.
  16. Adam, I really dig that 'Yota. A mechanic I used to work with called them "Seely-ca". I've wanted one like yours for years.
  17. Clean, Simple, Vicious ! Great Build.
  18. Fabulous Work. Floatplanes are one of my favorites.
  19. Boy what a great result from your struggles. Kit is great! (Hint, Round2, an 8 pack of those tires would sell Really, Really well.)
  20. I have one of the 1/24 Canadian Mist kits. I keep wanting to build it to display with a 1/24 Car kit, just to show how big Airplanes are compared to cars.
  21. Kickin' Butt so far. Keep Modelin'!
  22. Tumpy Decals are ALWAYS Gibberish. Just use what you can and Model On. That is an impressive truck.
  23. Well, not today, but Friday. My latest Mail Order arrived! Got the New Revell-Germany Landrover 109, the Moebius '65 Mercury Comet, the Round2 '70 Fire Chief Chevy, and last the Round2 Pinto Popper. The Pinto does have the Pintera parts and the Turbo, but even then it's a small kit with a short parts count. Not happy that I paid full retail for it, but it's my own fault for not doing Due Diligence. The '70 Chevy is nice, and has what appear to be direct clones of the '70 Ford Police cruisers Emergency Gear. Again, the decal sheet is skimpy, and I never want to hear about the City of Troy again. I'd have liked to be able to make a Fire Chief's car for something other than a burnt out, warzone of a Detroit suburb. The RoG Rover is a Superb Looking kit in the box. The RoG instructions are both clear (because of the Coloured Printing) and vague because CAD printing leaves the "Where-does-it-Go" arrows ending in mid-air sometimes. Reading ahead several steps to see where things ultimately end up, is a necessary skill. But, this is a fairly small issue in the scheme of things, so it's not that big. The RoG Decals look great. Enough Choices for Lic Plates all over Mainland Europe. The Moebius Comet looks great in the box. This is the stock version. It will be built as a Mild Street Rod, with the Hood & Engine from the Gasser Version, that I got for Christmas. I like the look of the stock wheels so much that I may use those for the Rod.
