  1. Steve. Was it a Canadian Car? If so, that might explain the 454. Other than that, I'm stumped.
  2. Heck Yea! Great news, Tim. Round2 for the Win on this one! I'll be buying these kits.
  3. I hope they choose better Box Art for it.
  4. Awesome!! I'll be wantin' some O' These!
  5. That tooling was updated every year up to 1976. That is where it is today. It still has a (not correct) for '76 Big Block motor in the kit. Beautiful Build.
  6. This was my first car. 1953 Dodge M-43 Ambulance. I stole this photo from the net, but mine was a similar colour and condition. even had the winch and a 12' A Frame welded to the front bumper. I paid $600.00 for it in 1980.
  7. The Colour is perfect! A great semi-TROG build
  8. Wow, this build would look right at home on the "Arts Mechanica" webpage.
  9. Great Bug!
  10. Beauty of a build. The Decal choice is excellent.
  11. What a perfect build. The Colour is perfect and the stance is spot on. As the others have said, right out of the Rodder's Journal.
  12. Wow! Beautiful Build.
  13. Latest rumors about the Moebius kit, IIRC, was that the new owners(Pegasus Hobby), are aware of the of the work, but are still busy with the complications of the purchase, so it may be sometime before anything gets done. All I know is what I read here, so I could be completely wrong. Since the Test Shot was a 3D printed piece as far as I know, the "Kit" exists only as CAD files right now. I suspect that since some work was done on the project, it may see the light of day, at some undetermined future date. However, as well all know, translating 3D files to completed tooling is an expensive process, fraught with small roadblocks. It is my belief (and only MY belief, unsupported by any inside knowledge) that 'someday' we may see this kit. However there is a Metric Ton of money and work that will be needed to make it happen, and that things change with Model Companies all the time. So, Pegasus Hobby owns Moebius, and Moebius did the CAD work. That is all that is definitive at this time.
  14. Nice Idea, Tom. I do like your choice of colour.
  15. Good to see you coming back to it, Joe. A few things have changed. Most have not. If you like old AMT Kits, Round2 has re-popped many that have not been seen in 20+ years.
  16. I'm not sure if there was ever an Isuzu 4 banger kitted for anything. That's what you would need for a true stock build. But, the Chevy V-8 was such a popular swap, that is not really wrong to have that as the only option.
  17. Some More Information on this build. I found some old notes, and I have Dave Lindsay's name attached to the build in some way. Maybe the build was in Socal, at some contest on the LeftCoast?
  18. I broke down and got a box of the "new" Hostess Ding Dongs. Boy, was that a mistake. The Crème Filling is now goopy, and they are noticeably smaller. Most importantly, they just don't taste right. And, they are wrapped in plastic bags, not foil. The "new" Hostess Snak Cakes are truly lousy. About the only ones I can still eat are the Twinkies, and even those are smaller and sadder than they used to be.
  19. Neat Rambo Tie-in. I'm looking forward to seeing it done.
  20. Man, I hope, hope, hope that the Ace Motor cycle makes it Back. I'll need to order about 6 sets of tires too. All my MPC Chrysler and Lincoln kits need tires. Even the 1990's re-issues suffer from tire melt.
  21. The Ads are back. Nothing this morning. And now 4 hours later, ShaZam! All over the page.
  22. Alright, Here is a question to stump you. Many Years ago, in one of the Contest Annuals (I can't remember if it was this Magazine, or the 'other' one), somebody had built a Kitbash of the old 1/32 Monogram Mack Fire Truck, and the even older AMT Star Trek, "Galileo" Shuttlecraft. The back of the shuttle had been neatly cut off, and the Pumper Body of the Mack had grafted into place. It was all finished in Eye Searing Lime Green. The Photo stands out in my mind, to this day, but I have no idea where I saw it. I'm sure it was one of the Contest Mags, but I've got lots, and I have no clue where to look. A friend of mine, who saw it back then, wants to try to build his own, after all these years, (After all, what else has he got to do now)? So, I'm putting this out there. Does anybody remember the build? Any Idea who built it? What magazine it was in? Or, am I hallucinating? (which could be happening!)
  23. I think it is 1/24 scale,
  24. The ex-Monogram/Revell El Caminio that has been announced for later this year has a nice 3.8 V-6. (I think). The new kit will come with both standard and Turbo induction, too.
  25. First Artist? Charlie Daniels and U-2, both in Phoenix in 1984-85
