Rick, this is another kit from the Mythical "B Team" at Round2. Another "Just good enough to get by" kit. IMHO, All Sizzle, and not much Steak. I know there is NOT really a B Team over there, but Kits like this really get my goat. All Hype, and very little in the box. And listed at Full MSRP too. The "Special Features" call out, is longer than the actual features, and Vintage Boxart doesn't sell kits to many folks any more, especially to kits like this. IMHO. I bought 4 of the SS kits. I will not need any of these.......

Despite Marco's superb finishing skills, The engine looks like a well painted toy, as Pete noted. The Knock Offs are huge! I predict many disappointed modelers and a bunch of half finished builds, followed by a general sales slump and quick fade from the market.

Wow! A Home-Run for sure, Dave. Looks tasty.

Thanks, Steve and Casey. Those are nice but so small. I was hoping to find something a bit bigger, in Billboard style for the flanks of the car. More like the "Plymouth" on the sides of the Superbirds. I may have to try to hunt down a couple of those '72 Olds sheets though. I need two of the #18.

Monogram '32 Ford Street Rod Classic Cruiser

I have that 3 Window kit, only to donate the Jag Independent Rear end to a Future planned Roadster build. -
I see the Manx is coming back around again. I hope that there are some new parts or tires added, along with whatever new decals they choose. It is a good kit. There have to be a few new builders who've never seen it before. Maybe this version is aimed at them.

Tim covered this topic a little bit in one of the last issues of Scale Auto. The one with the History of ERTL Trucks. -
2021 IPMS Nationals Kit Information

These new kits from Revell, are going to be a whole lot of fun to look at when they get here. Some really nice stuff on tap. I hope the (Ex-Rat Roaster) keeps two sets of wheels. Those Halibrands are are worth the price of the kits by itself. I hope they can be kept in the new version. That Lo-Pro Blower is really neat too. -
I'm looking for Decals that Say "Oldsmobile", rather than decals FOR and Oldsmobile. The one thing Round2 did not put on either F-85 decal sheet.I'd like the older style from the 50's - 60's rather than the blocky 1980's style. I've been trawling on ebay, and on some of the aftermarket NASCAR places, but it seems for whatever reason, every team that raced an Olds professionally, never used the Olds Trade Dress or Logo.............. Best, I can find are a couple of Rocket Logos from the hood of the First Issue of the Revell 1950 Olds. There are not too many Olds kits out there anyway, so It is hard finding anything. No Hurry, though. I'll keep looking.

Any up dates on the Moebius chevy II gasser ?
stavanzer replied to Mr mopar's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Is the Scoop Slide Molded also, like the one on the Revell '62 Corvette Gasser? -
Doc Martin is a slow building, but satisfying series. Not a Howler, but a quiet kind that wins you over. For your Crime Show, I prefer "New Tricks" and "Taggert".
-
Oh, Indeed yes! Can't wait to see the newly tooled slicks for the Mooneyes and other kits too.
-
Plus one on the Bronco. Either AMT or MPC. I'd like to see either. I think the AMT tool is better as the MPC kit is just flimsy somehow.
-
Could that be a Re-worked TD Paddy Wagon with a different Engine? Really hard to tell. Dave V, that is a totally different Track Nose on the Blue Car, it seems. Neat, though.

Look at the Awesome Headers on that Gasser! The Scoop is lovely too. -
Thanks, Tim & RRR for sharing the pics! Looks like Dune Buggy builders are in for a treat. The Meyers Manx is showing in the "Coming Soon" page at Model Roundup too. I wonder if it will be a straight Re-issue, or have any new parts. Either way, it will be the Third Manx, since the kit was first Re-Released a few years ago.

David, I spent a year trying to get a hat like Onslow wears. I was too late though. By the time we watched the series, HF had stopped selling those ball caps. I saw on in 2002, go for over 200.00 on eBay.... What some Fans will do, eh? To this day, my 25 year old son, still says "Oh Nice", with exactly the intonation....

Something to smile about. The Rescue Amazon Parrot (yes there are Bird Rescues, just like there are for dogs), that my wife in mid-May, continues to get better acclimated to the house and our routines. Poor Guy is at least 30 years old, and has a crippled left leg and wing. So, he has troubles getting around his cage, and he cannot fly. The Poxie Rescue folks failed to mention this small detail. So, we paid $500.00 to the Rescue, had to drive 400 miles round trip to get the bird, and only find out he is both, far older and not as healthy as they told us. I was not happy about this, but he is a good (if grouchy) bird! He likes treats (potato chips and fried chicken) and prefers to nap when I sit with him in my recliner. There is no good to be had from talking to the Rescue Group, as they (like almost all animal rescue groups in California), are simply swamped with animals being turned in, or worse, just dumped by the door. So, we'll try to give the old boy a good home, and keep him safe and comfortable. Named him Onslow, after a character in a British Comedy from the 1990's called "Keeping up Appearances".

David, the roofers don't care. (as you have probably surmised) It's just a job to them, and caring about trash is not what they get paid to do. In Fact, around here anyway, even when the are paid to clean up the trash there in a 50/50 chance that they will do it. Many people don't care about that kind of thing anymore. But, It isn't a new problem. Lady Bird Johnson started one of the first anti-litter campaigns, over 60 years ago. So folks have not changed much.
