  1. While we're on this topic, who wants the Kenworth, Alaska Hauler hit back? The Only Truck kit I ever really wanted........
  2. Notice how the Chrome Trees get smaller & smaller? The '72 is about 1/3 the size of the '70. Notice too, how the MPC and AMT '70 chrome trees look completely alike on the right side of the tree where the 4 stock wheel covers are seen.
  3. Hey Miles. Don't be too upset with your self. I had the Night Rider kit, and really liked. It IS a snap kit, so much detail is simplified. For all that, however, with Wheel Swap to install decent tiers and wheels on it, it does loo sharp on the shelf. The Revell Snap kit shares nothing in common with the Silver/Black 1/24 scale ex-Monogram kit that was just posted. Underhood detail is lacking, but it should build easily into another acceptable display kit. Cheers, Alan
  4. "Cute" is not a word I'd ever apply to this car. "Unique", Yes.
  5. Well, I finally got a chance to watch the video. It has 4 Slicks. Yeah! Way to go Round2 But, I see the Sheriffs Jimmy from the Movie, "The Milagro Beanfield War', as a potential build option. A least I won't need any aftermarket Resin Parts now, to convert the Chevy Kit.
  6. I really like the Sad Vette. If I had extra money, I'd be hunting down to restore.
  7. https://booksbikesboomsticks.blogspot.com/2021/01/if-batman-did-meth.html Found this while Browsing. I like the nose, but the car is tacky and odd. Can anybody post the pics?
  8. Woot! I really like that car.
  9. There are hood fit issues with the hood at the back corners, near the cab. Right side is worse Than the left.
  10. Matas, if you could give us some idea of your modeling interests, we can be more helpful.
  11. Miles. Yes and no. The Crew Chief is the Chevy Blazer version of the tool. There is also a GMC Jimmy Version, which is the one this thread is about. Truthfully, other than the Grille, Tailgate, Hood and, Decals there probably won't be much difference in the kits. I'm just curious to see what is in the box. If you look at the clear tree in your Blazer kit, you can still see the 4 small GMC Headlight lenses. I think the "Jimmy" name plates are on the chrome tree, as well, but I don't have the kit handy to confirm.
  12. Please accept my apologies. Model A Cab Minutiae is obviously not my Forte. I go back and hide now.
  13. The Revell '29 Roadster P/up should have the cab you seek
  14. Nice to know, Tommy. Note too, that this box art appears to show 4 (four) Slicks..........
  15. It's obvious that this Cornet kit is fatally flawed. My recommendation to to purchase and destroy every one you can find. Better yet, Be sure to share the flaws with anyone who has one or builds one. Why should they be happy with a kit as badly done as this one? Let them know that you are only doing this for their own good. Flawed kits are a plague upon the hobby. Remember the F.A.A Motto. "We're not Happy, until You're not Happy!"
  16. I'm sorry to hear this. This continuing crisis has been hard on many folks, your Aunt among them. Take comfort in having been a help to her. Many people seem to ignore helping others. I'm glad you did.
  17. Has anybody seen inside the box of one of these yet?
  18. Looking through back issues of The Rodder's Journal, makes me think that this little wagon would make an Awesome push car for an early dragster. Borrow the wood push bar from the '65 Chevelle wagon, or scratch build your own. Use some small sponsor decals on the back or side glass, and throw a tool box in the back. Easy-Peasy Nifty Project.
  19. Thanks, Scott. That helps me place him.
  20. IIIRC, Mr. Koveleski also owned a Stutz Bearcat. I remember reading an article about it in an issue of Mechanix Illustrated, dated September 1951. (price 15 cents!!) Oops; just checked the actual magazine. Owner of the Stutz is listed as "Tony" Koveleski. Tony is also listed as the owner of "Scranton Hobby Center" maker of antique model car kits! Not sure if Tony Koveleski is Oscars Father, or another name for Oscar.
  21. I figured this would be coming out. As soon as they did the '23 Roadster, I knew this couldn't be far behind.
  22. I got nothing. No Cards, no books, nothing. But, I've got next months mortgage in the bank, we had a wonderful Christmas Dinner, cooked by my daughter, and I got to see my grandsons. I have nothing to complain about.
  23. Good to see that Atlantis wound up with the '26 Mack Truck tooling. Now, maybe we'll get some of the others back. The dump truck has been getting hard to find. Too many of the 1/32 for my tastes, but maybe the snappers will attract new builders to the hobby.
  24. I remember reading a review of this kit in SAE several years ago, that dinged it for stiff decals that cracked and fell apart, and bad mold parting lines, and general carelessness in tooling. I hope that it gets released this time with Round2's usual eye on improved quality. The too small rear axle is an Odd choice for the car.
