  1. I got my decals Friday. They look great! I plan on using the 65 Lincoln Roof Rack on my '34 Ford entry. Seems small, but it was the easier to find, than the rack in '75 MPC Corvette kit. A question. I've read that 2 spare tires are required, but many of the Gerard Brown photo's show only one tire (usually on the roof rack) of the 1930-1940 vehicles. Not sure where I'm gonna find room on the 34 Coupe for a second spare, LOL. I'm hunting a pair of Small K&N style filters for the twin carbs on the flathead Ford motor. I think Scenes Unlimited is going to get my Tire/Wheel Business. I am excited about this build. I'll be glad when the holidays are over, and I can get some bench time.
  2. I agree with the others, the colour choice is great! I've not seen the awful Monogram Michelin TRX tires ever looks so good. Great Build over all.
  3. Beautimus! What an Oddmachine Scroll down to the bottom of this page. It is there in real life. http://the.shadock.free.fr/Surviving_Sonderfahrzeuge.pdf
  4. The Vega is a complete loser to me. The Other Two? Were do I sign up? I'll take a case of Power Wagons.
  5. The wheels set everything off perfectly. The colours work well to. Nice Clean Build.
  6. Beauty, Snake. I only hope that my AMT Monza turns out half as good as yours.
  7. What Kit is that? Great Build!
  8. I have this kit. I need to build it. It was a real risk RevG took to even tool this up. I hope sales of it have paid off.
  9. And a List of the Lindberg Pirate Ships, and their Real Names. Lindberg Marketing Real Ship Sir Harry Morgan Pirate Ship Le Saint Louis Captain Kidd Pirate Galleon Wappen von Hamburg Jolly Roger Pirate Ship La Flore Blackbeard Pirate Ship Royal Sovereign Again, you get what you pay for. La Flore and Wappen von Hamburg have vacuformed sails; the others have solid plastic sails molded to the yards. They have fair detail and are nicely shaped. All have open gunports, but the method of molding the guns varies from full carriages and cannons to a row of dummy barrels molded onto a strip that is cemented to the interior. Anyway, I believe them to be adequate for the price and they do build into reasonable ship models with effort. You should check them out. Some of these are old Pyro/Lifelike tools.
  10. Somebody else's Build Log. https://www.shipsofscale.com/WVH/WVH01.html And here is the real ship. Wappen Von Hamburg. https://www.modelships.de/Wappen_von_Hamburg_I_1/Wappen_von_Hamburg_I_1eng.htm Hope this helps.
  11. I agree with you, Snake. The decals do nothing for me, either. But a fresh new Switchers kit for $20.00? That appeals to me.
  12. This is Number 4. Lukas V. 7lbs, 15 oz. Mother and baby doing well. Score Board 1 Grand Daughter, Three Grand sons. I'm stoked.
  13. One Star Trek Runabout, One Each of the Van, Deuce, and Pick up kits. Going to be a great New Year.
  14. Hmmm, Ram Tough Monster and an LRE. Maybe I can kitbash Grampa's Truck. Anyhow, I wait and see what the new kit looks like, before I spend too much money.
  15. Aaaand Its here!!! Thanks Again, Chris. Some of the Best reviews on the tube.
  16. Wow! Great creative work.
  17. And one of the nice things about the most recent Round2 re-issue, is that it has the Promo-Style Engine Block Off plate that allows a curbside build. Means you can save the (wrong-for-this-car) 429 for another build.
  18. About this. One of my first thoughts is that Mr. Pivar, the author of the Letter, is going to have to keep a low profile in the Hobby for a while. I would not want to be known as "That Guy" even if a few of my buddies agreed with me, in private. Not that he is going to advertise who he is, but in a world of Facebook and Social Media he could become far more well known than he expected in just a few days, if somebody wanted to ID him. But in the end I blame SA, and the editor who made the final call. SA prints at most 15-20 letters a year (at 3-4 an issues). What made 'this' letter stand out to be the pick of those who were unhappy about the Modelhaus closing. I am reasonably certain that another letter sharing the same viewpoint in much less brutal language could have been picked. Lastly I doubt that Jim Haught would have run this. The new editor's inexperience shows through badly this time. I hope he does better in the future. I'm sure more than a few canceled subscriptions, have been pointed in describing WHY they are canceling. That will get attention fast.
  19. Thanks. I've never heard of Hobby Design. I'll go look for them.
  20. As the title says, does anybody make the K&N looking Air Filters? I need a pair of smaller ones for my Peking to Paris CBP Group Build.
  21. Dave D, those rims look perfect in the Rat Roaster tires. Is anybody casting them in resin yet?
  22. Thank You! That answers my question.
