  1. I wish that Round2 would put this Hood Scoop Back in the box. I've bought two of the Purple kits, just for that Scoop.
  2. If only the Turbo comes back. I'll be all over this little Pinto, anyway.
  3. I hope the decal sheet is updated.
  4. Too Cool! Great Find.
  5. Thanks, Andy, but we've had those Lousy Bottles for what, now, 25 Years? The Motor Oil Bottles are Blow Molded as well. I appreciate the info, but I'm still hating on the 2 Litre. Heck, the Greeks solved this problem 2000 years ago.
  6. Well, It was 82 yesterday, so Winter is still just a concept. I do need to put Stabil in the Mower though.
  7. Thanks, Tim. I wonder what it would take to get THIS kit re-issued, with the motorcycle? I'd certainly be in line for them, if only to get trustworthy tires. Some Clever Box Art and some spiffy decals might move a few of the Roadster kits, at least. I'll never see the "Ma Barker" touring kit again. I can see the Roadster with options for the Bootlegger, the Police Car, and it would make a great, period correct Fire Chief car as well. The best part, is that the kit could be run as it is now, without the Cycle and still do all three options. One of the Master builder on the board here built a 1933 Indy Pace Car from this kit too. It had spoke wheels that he had resin cast, but was otherwise box stock. I remember reading the article in this magazine. I corresponded with the man who built it, trying to get a set of the wheels myself. He was very gracious about it but the were really a One Time, Custom deal. I need to scratch up a set myself. (Unless Round2 would tool up a set, and sell a 1933 Indy Pace Car kit!)
  8. We can do so many things. Why can we not, Design and sell a cheap Bottle that pours properly? Even Motor Oil Bottles now have air return channels. Why are stuck with the Miserable 2 Litre bottle that splashes every where? Are we such a lazy, cheap culture that we won't do better just because of inertia, and the cost of change? Wait, don't answer that......... I already know the answer. I'm off to get a new keyboard. Coke and Desktops don't mix, before you have had your caffeine.
  9. My hobby room is called the "Lurkem", after the place the Onceler hangs out in the Dr Seuss book "The Lorax".
  10. When these kits first came out, I was already planning on swapping the engines, so Revell has done what I had thought of back then. Like Dennis, I'll be getting a couple of these kits when they appear. I'll be waiting patiently for the Coupe when it comes back. I have no doubt that Blitz Partners will leave that kind of sales potential on the table, so I'm hoping that the Coupe will return someday. I am keen to see what other surprises this tool family has in store for us, as well. There could easily be more variants from this family that we know nothing about. For now though, I'll be happy to build a couple fresh new Roadsters.
  11. Boy! Somebody has a UCMJ Article 15 Hearing to go to. That first pic shows just how strong those truck were.
  12. I don't know, Mike. Those Square Body S-10's were like Roaches here in Cali. They were EVERYWHERE! I still see a few, even now. I'd be thrilled to have the Monogram kit back. I'll start looking on eBay for one.
  13. Man, I have 5 of the One/One scale units sitting in my yard at work. Maybe now I can build a replica of the trucks that I manage.
  14. Great Bill. I'll be watchung for them.
  15. Drat! I may have to do it anyway, if'n I want one.
  16. Yep, Steve, I agree with you.
  17. Cap'n I really like the way this going. The Red/Black contrast is sharp. Keep it up!
  18. Yeah, I have one of the originals. I passed on getting one at HL, figuring that I'd get one on the next trip. NO such luck. I've only seen it the one time. I should just Mail-Order one at full price. THAT will get HL to re-stock them...........?
  19. I've order small parts from him and seen his bodies. Buy With Confidence.
  20. So, after hitting Michaels, I finally made it to HL. No 1960 Chevy Pick up, ( I hope thet re-stock that one someday) but I DID find the Revell 1985 Olds 442/FE3-X kit. So my day ended with a Revell G-Body shopping Spree. Now to get the Revell '86 Monte Carlo kit.
  21. I hear you, Hakan. I really do. But I would not be so quik to blame the guys at Round2. Their 'business case' for what makes a "good model", differs significantly from yours. (and Mine too. 1912 Mercer, anybody?) Round2 has been pouring tooling dollars into new tools. They are just not doing so with car kits. (right now). If you are a Space 1999 Fan or a Star Trek Fan, Round2 has been going flat out. So, will they ever get around to to tooling up a new body, engine, and interior, for a 56 year old car that nobody under the age of 40 is going to know or care about? Notgonnahappen.com. You love your car. Heck, I was born in 1963. I love your car! But I don't see the tooling Round2 has right now, being changed or improved in any way, IN the foreseeable future. The Business case for doing so just does not make sense right now. Someday it might. Right now, I doubt it. I wish it were not that way.
  22. Mine was stocking the '60 Chevy Pickup. I saw it once. It has never been in stock since. I really wish I could get one.
  23. Mine is about 9 crates smaller than this...........
  24. Went to Michaels. First time in over a year. HL has been getting $40.00 a month Model Money for that long. Anyway, Michaels is Blowing out the Revell 1983 Hurst Olds kits for 18.00 each. With the 40% coupon, I got 10.00 change back from a Twenty!! I mat get another one. As an Aside, the Model area was a complete shambles. Kits scattered in clumps and stacks. Lots of empty space. But some kits that I have not seen at HL, in ages. ECTO , Christine Plymouth, Both the Orange and Green AMT 1970 1/2 Camaro kits. I may have to swing by and check there more often.
  25. Charlie, I agree with you. Simplified Promo or not, I really like both of the AMT '63's called out here. Both the Impala and the Galaxie, or a treasure trove of early 1960's goodness, with decent bodies, and fun, vintage options. I'll be buying both of these kits when the hit the shelves.
