Custom 56 F 100

Great Period Build! The Metal Flake is perfect! Good Show. -
Bill, I have not seen the kit. Here is a link to the directions. https://www.scalemates.com/products/img/9/0/5/1181905-74-instructions.pdf It looks like a typical 21st century Supercar Kit. Very Well detailed, with an intimidating parts count and assembly sequence. My Advice, take it very slowly, test-fit, test-fit, test-fit. It might not be a quick build, but sticking to the instructions should really help. Don't be discouraged if it takes a some errors happen. I'd even recommend gluing parts with white glue and testing the fit of sections with each other before blowing it apart and re-gluing with styrene glue. I found some online videos of building the kit. I have not watched them, so I cannot vouch for how useful they might be to you. BUt, It should help you to at least become familiar with the parts and how they relate to each other. After seeing your excellent Cobra, I know you can do this GT40 justice. Good Luck!

3 Door Chevelle, Yes 3 DOORS!

Awesome Conversion/Conversation piece! -
A Flat, Blanket statement like this is just wrong. The Budget and List of Kits to be re-issued is always changing. Nobody really predicted a '68 Coronet, let alone Drop top and Hard top versions. Yet, here we are. So, don't be in a hurry to tell Round2 how they feel about certain kits. No need to be pessimistic.

Had a Good, Quiet Birthday today. 6 New shirts, had a cake, and family time. It was excellent.

No need to be gloomy at all, Dude! This the best time to be a Modeler! The Recently Cloned Barracuda, and Chevy Wagon, the resurrected SSlasher Chevelle, and many others make this a Great Time. Are they kits I want? Not all of them. Would I rather see something besides the Fourth re-issue of the 1953 Ford Pickup? (the Baja Patrol issue). You bet I would. I think there are a dozen different existing kits that should be on sale rather than the '53 Ford. But, I don't run Round2. I don't see the Sales numbers, the Budget numbers or the Manpower numbers. I would speculate, that unless you are Self-Employed, where ever you work, has more full time staff than Round2 does. I cut them some slack. Man, I'll take a Back Seat to Nobody about griping about what and how Round2 does some things. However, They sell, & I buy. (or not, as the case may be). So, at the end of the day, I give them props for all they Have Done, Are Doing, and Will Do in the future, even if it is not to my exact taste. So, hunt up a vintage '71-'72 Roadrunner, buy it, and see if that will cause Round2 to bring one out. Seems to work on some other vintage kits that have been cloned, like the '61-63 Ford Pickups! LOL.

Kenworth W900 Aerodyne
stavanzer replied to Brenton's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Take it slow, make sure every part in the multiple piece chassis is straight, and Test Fit, Test Fit Test Fit. And do NOT hesitate to ask for help on Item Placement, as Old AMT Directions can be really vague about where certain parts 'really' go. -
Why, I believe you are correct. You are One of the Few. Good On Ya!

Thanks for Posting that , Jesse. I just watched. I get the whole "Crawl before you Walk" bit, but that just does not inspire any interest on my part. The Clear plastic looks dodgy, the casting is rough, and the wood looks chaep, and poorly finished. Johan, in any iteration now, seems to just wallow in Bad Luck, Poor Executions, and Awful Timing. Do it Right, or just stop the bleeding.......
