  1. I don't know exactly how it will work at this point. I can't list EVERY type of part made, somebody else needs to volunteer to do other than drag parts! Let's go slow here!
  2. A GREAT, often overlooked kit. I'm building mine as a legal NHRA c/ gasser circa 1964. No major problems.
  3. That's what is was thinking, I'm a little rusty but I could do it. I'm not sure how I'd go about posting that format on line though. Plenty of time to figure it out I guess. I figure info should be :part, function, year(s) of use and source. Also a pic of the real thing if I can. Gratuitous drag pic (by me). Restored Eagle Electric AA/FD from Seattle, WA. 1966. I LOVED That Hanna fin body. No slipper clutches they, smoked 'em all the way down! Great days.
  4. Give me feedback as to what format, chart ( like above), simple sorted list. ETC> ALSO, since I don't know EVERYTHING, it would take contributions by members. Also, of course I can be WRONG, but I will not waste time arguing about things or responding to off topic stuff, in fact off topic posts should be prohibited. Help me out here guys! YOUR THOUGHTS? Garlits and Snake talk over the drag reference idea! photo by me!
  5. A reference section might be a good addition here. Chris Sobak's fine charts of scale lines and fitting is a good example! Included in that thread is this chart from Chuck at Altered States that answers a LOT of drag model questions I see online. It's linked in the Sobak thread, but kind of buried. People might want to save it as a .GIF. GIVE ME SOME FEEDBACK AND I MIGHT DO THIS!!
  6. I'm "retired", (laid off), have free time and just might start it at least. It would be cool to have data bases of all kinds of stuff: which kits have engine stands, cement blocks, tape recorders etc. I'm not promising anything, but if enough builders would actually use it, I might give it a shot.
  7. I mean a list of what exactly they are and what kits have them. For example, "Robinson-Montgomery Magnesium Blower"-AMT 33 Willys Ansen air scoop-AMT parts pack Pontiac. And so on. The directory could be revised and additions made. Some kits, like old Revell are very accurate and specific as to identifying parts, most aren't. What do you think?
  8. Good ol' Lindberg! No such thing as a '29 T. Ford made the last T's in 1927m a 29 would be a model A. I do like this kit, I plan to do mine with the Ansen equipped A motor fro Revells RPU. It's a simple kit, but sort of appealing.
  9. VERY COOL and realistic Super Stocker! You did a great job on this.
  10. Another nice drag car in an overlooked class, modified production. I LIKE the realism here, no giant blowers, too huge slicks etc. A VERY NICE representation of MP!
  11. Now that looks very realistic, not overdone, but like an actual modern drag car. Very creative to use the Dodge body. It really has the right look! NICE!!!
  12. "Back in the 60's they choose to get the then current big names and sold millions of kits. They want to sell a few kits now so they are trying what worked then hoping it will work again. " Right on!! The same attitudes exist in the full scale world. Maybe car enthusiasts are just grouches?
  13. FANTASTIC BUILD! Very cool idea! I grew up in the back of a 60 Plymouth wagon, I love it. Very creative.
  14. Jeeez. What's the problem here? First off, it's not 1962 anymore. Styles change. Customs have ALWAYS pretty much sucked in my view anyway. Second, SO WHAT? Revell isn't in business to make ME happy, of course they will do more contemporary stuff. Third, don't like it, don't buy it, do like it, buy it. SIMPLE EH?
  15. Great thread! I remember this stuff from Car Model as a teen. NOW, let's see the Yont's dragsters!
  16. Cool, I would love to have one of these.

    69 Barracuda

WOW!! THAT is the nicest, best build of that kit I've ever seen! GREAT WORK! I hope someday we get a decent 2nd generation Barracuda kit! Maybe Revell??
  18. WOW! Very cool, looks like the real thing! Nice work!
  19. My 2010 Mustang GT. I bought it new, Galpin Autosports applied the stripe along with a matching white stripe on the black leather seats. They also supplied the Nitto tires and Foose wheels.
  20. It really is about time for a new 36! Maybe Revell, without the silly top routine. Stock and hot rod, many possibilities here with a NEW DECENT kit!
  21. Nice job! Very clean build and realistic, it's the small stuff that gives a build the right look.

    "Panic"

FANTASTIC! A real replica! GREAT WORK!!
  23. I LOVED Renwal models when I was a kid! The George Washington was one of my proudest possessions for years. It was a great model! Built by my pipe smoking Dad and I! He smoked a pipe 'cause he was quiting Winstons! And, you got out the magnifier to see the toilets and urinals molded into the bulkhead. Last year I bought the Renwal USS Shangra La 1/500 aircraft carrier! I'm a total sucker for their box art.
