  1. Love those post war Fords. All the post war cars really, but we only have Fords and Chevy's to choose from. A very nice job!
  2. A very nice line up! When I saw gassers, I expected the worst, jacked up Novas and the like. These are REAL GASSERS, very cool. LOVE the 36, that is one fine model! VERY COOL!
  3. Nice job! Good paint, don't worry about a decal. race cars seldom looked the same fro week to week. I must sat Pam is way more attractive than that! She'd sit at 1000 feet ( like my wife and I ) at Bakersfield at the March Meet and the reunion. STILL a very attractive CLASSY lady! Again, nice job!
  4. And the 64 Thunderbird! I think he worked at Big Beaver Tubing!
  5. Guess nobody remembers Chuck Farley and the double entendre AMT 60's decal sheets! Too bad! LOL
  6. VERY VERY COOL! Really captured the pre war thing! I'm impressed, looks great, can't say enough!
  7. You are gonna get stuck in that sand! Nice Duece, nice photo. Very creative pic!!!
  8. Here's a pic from Chucks Altered States website.
  9. Really looking forward to seeing this one! KEEP US POSTED PLEASE!

    1948 Ford

Beautiful car, the red really rocks! Nice job.
  11. My favorite FE Ford motor is Revell's. The Mysterion has two, plus two c -6's. The only FE Ford fuel injection made was in the 67 AMT Mercury Comet annual, and it was very nice! I agree with whoever posted about modifying the MoPar unit. It's accurate (NONE of the present AMT's for any engine are really accurate at all), just needs cutting and fitting to the Ford.
  12. He ran a Bantam body, not a Ford. Bantams are done by several Casters. I have a very nice one by Altered States.
  13. It's Lou Baney's Super Snake driven by Don Prudhomme! Robinsons motor was actually quite different, even though they were both Ford SOHC's.
  14. The old sheets for sure. FORGET RAT RODS and BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH like "rust". Gauges and speed decals, everything is in the old AMT sheets. Like I said in my comment, Chuck Farely rides again. If you know your olds AMT decals, you KNOW what I mean. Uh, don't know why the BLAH BLAH, I didn't use any profanity!!!??? Jeeeeeez! lighten up.
  15. The Desoto looks like the one from the Little Coffin kit to me. Very small for 1/24th!

NICE!! These old classics are fantastic! Great job, really NICE!
  17. Hmmm, I guess so. I know that a unnamed Orange County shop had a bunch of chassis kits in the early 2000's, wanted stupid money for them, WAY more than the usual asking price, The Roadster Speed Parts and the Dragster Speed Parts are my Holy Grails., not easy to find, and WAY too much when you do. Norm at Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland USED to resin cast them, I don't think he offers them anymore. I'd like to have the Bantam and Fiat bodies, but not vital.I LOVE the speed decals, got them and an Auto World sheet for very cheap, plus the upholstery pack. Chuck at Altered States ( THE BEST ) cast me a BUNCH of seats, the Mooneyes one and the Attempt 1 versions for my Dragmaster chassis packs. I've used the Tony Nancy double kits for the Kent Fuller chassis packs ( they are 90 % Fuller chassis, though not named as such. I like the Dragster pack axles much better though. I bought a TON of 60's parts for practically nothing and one bag had THREE 327's! I even hate to use them, I feel like they are irreplaceable!. I'm probably wrong, but I don't think the Ivo Buicks are from the packs, but the Nancy one is. I think the early 60's engines are THE finest, most detailed motors ever done!
  18. In the 80's there was a Hobby Shop/Stamp collectors shop in the Arco Towers in downtown Los Angeles, they had a slew of the Double Parts Pack dragster kits at regular kit prices. I figured they were a re issue! Didn't buy any ( pointing gun to head), thinking they'd be around. Don't know what the deal was, this store didn't sell any "vintage' or collectors kits, just new stuff. Maybe NOS??? DEFINITELY the parts pack kits! I know them, had several in the 60's! Another mystery from space and time.
  19. The Double kits were available as recently as the 1980's, I recall them in shops at that time. WHO DO WE EMAIL TO GET THEM BACK??? Tim Boyd, you are "connected" ( sounds Mafia ), and I loved your Bantam.Even those are 50 bucks PLUS now, too rich for me. I really think Revell could sell this stuff, put several packs together at least, like the AMT. The tire packs MUST be selling, they have been around for quite a while! I WANT TO BUILD THE DOUBLE KITS AGAIN BEFORE I DIE! LOL By the way, where's Jim Keeler??? Hope all is well!
  20. I think your valve covers are backwards, ( side to side). Nice build.
  21. I've loved and used the Parts Packs since they came out in the 60's! Both the AMT and Revell are good, though I prefer the Revell for detail. The interesting thing to me about the Revell packs are that the Double Drag kits that are going for 200 plus bucks ARE the parts packs! I's wager that Revell has the tooling for all of them, IF they's combine them , as the did in 1963 into kits they'd sell some. You could get your roadster speed parts, plus the Bantam body! I have been told OVER AND OVER that these kits can't be done, too many "pulls" on the molds. WTF does that mean? same folks that told me NONE of the MPC funny car kits survived. Don't get it.
  22. I also see no real point to this thread! What am I missing?
  23. Nice color, nice job on the ol boat!
  24. Huh? the original model is fairly accurate, is Skip Shores "Skeppers Critter" that became the Shore and Hess blown car. It ran an Olds. Rules sais small displacement only ( at that time). Olds motors were used all over in gas classes, to wit" Stone, Woods & Cook.
