Local Hobby Shp vs. Mega-Store
louie replied to CometMan's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Unfortunately for me the closest Hobby shop is about 40-45 miles away from me but I was traveling there but started realizing that the owner was a Hobby Bozo. Now I would never ever ever talk bad or down someone for most reasons but this guy started to insult and talk down to me when he realized that I buy car model kits so I decided not to go there anymore, again unfortunately for me. I buy online ,but I buy most of my stuff from small hobby shop's that are online who appreciate my business. CometMan, very good stuff and I always like your posts. Thank you. Jeff -

Oh I know the feeling of being very down and out as I have and still am dealing with some stuff, but I also know that getting back up on your feet ( so to speak ) is not that easy either. I know where you are coming from my Friend and you and your son are in my thoughts and prayers. I really appreciated your post as it gave me strength. Thank you. Jeff -

Thanks DEL for letting us know more about what you have going on. I for one would like to say thank you for doing what you are doing for the hobby. You can put me on the list for a few of everything that you plan on casting and I'm sure that goes for quite a few more people too. Again, Thank you. Jeff -

I've Gone eBay Crazy!
louie replied to oldcarfan's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Congratulations on your purchase. I like ebay, I don't use it that often but I like it. I prefer to buy from a hobby shop and do not have any local (40 miles away ) so I buy from a hobby shop that is online. Oldcarfan, I would like to ask you about the flintstone car bodies, who did you purchase them through. I have seen some on "ebay " but the seller has a lousy rating so I will not buy from them. Anyhow thank you for sharing this with us and I do hope that you will find the other kits on your list. Jeff -
That's Nice, I mean Really Nice. Yeah, those decals are sweet so is that front suspension. I just love this one. Thanks for sharing this with us. Jeff

It would be nice to know what has become of Ross Gibson and R&R's molds. Not that it's anyone's business but their families but it just out of how much that we miss and appreciated their work. Thank you. Jeff
