  1. Fantastic work! I've never seen a 1/32 B Model.......awesome!
  2. Superb work, and a great pictorial of how you did it too!
  3. I would be interested in one when you make them available.................fantastic work sir!
  4. Your work is INCREDIBLE Pat.......fantastic! Your post here on dioramas is one of my favorites on the whole forum!
  5. That is phenomenal work! And in 1/24th!!! Wow! Absolutely off the charts!
  6. Wonderful work! Well done sir!
  7. Thanks Charlie! For everything, especially the advice on the windows and gaskets. That was the one part of the build that caused me the most trepidation. I simply couldn't figure it out, but your method, modified a bit to avoid cutting out the gasket while glued to the cab because the cab is SO fragile, worked PERFECTLY! And, you're right about getting it done. The punch list helps me finish, but it was a hard climb through the last parts of the build, as it seemed it would never get done, and then POOF.....done. Now it's kind of.....what do I do now??!! And now that Gradall has been planted in my head with everything else cluttered up there. Just gotta figure which one to pull out first! Time will tell!
  8. Had an off day for the crane crew.....so they brought it back to the shop to fix the winch. Had to remove the counterweight to access the winch. The end of the shaft had a hole in it where I pushed a larger shaft into it to turn the winch by friction. Bad idea. So, I glued a screw into the end of the shaft to turn with a screwdriver so now the crowd function works as designed....... could not crowd out if the winch would not turn. All is well!
  9. Loaded up and on the way to the next project!
  10. Well, to be honest, I never intended to make everything work. It just kind of developed along the way, as I said why not? It really was a challenge to myself to see what I could do, and I am probably happier with the results than any of my other builds. Now on to the next............!
  11. Here is my Galion 12 1/2 ton rough terrain crane. Took just about five months to do, which for me is a world record. Everything works as the real one, outriggers, doors, steering both regular and crab, boom up and crowd and swing. Had one casualty right at the very end when the winch spool simply decided to seize up so that will be a trip to the repair shop in the near future. This has been by far, the most challenging mind wracking build I have ever attempted, and I want to thank all who helped me overcome obstacles along the way! I hope you all enjoyed the build. Please forgive the photography skills, or lack thereof. One thing I am not is a photographer/lighting pro!
  12. Done!!!!! Moved to Under Glass! Thank you for all of the comments and to all who followed this build!! Much appreciated!
  13. Got the boom assembly all piped up with reinforcing wire armor on the hoses. Assembled the boom and started installing glass in the cab. Have to wait for the installed glass to dry before I can finish. Now I just have to figure out how to install the cable and make it work properly. I am my own worst critic but I am pleased with this one.
  14. For sure! As a former Detroit owner in a couple different rigs, I know that they like to mark their territory! If they aren't dripping, they are dry! Not sure what the next project will be, but it's gonna have to go a beat to beat this one for a challenge!
  15. Yup, a Cat 12 made for me by a friend of mine, John Alan Nelson. But since I have a thing for Galion, if I do one it will be a Galion for sure!
  16. Hmmmmm.......look what just appeared on my bench.......! Harbingers of things to come?????
  17. Got the lower chassis all done, exhaust installed, wheels and tires on, mirrors installed, head and tail lights installed, fan belt and fan shroud installed, decals all installed, boom sections assembled, and here is what it looks like so far. Still have glass to cut and install, doors to mount, boom hoses to attach, winch piping and cabling to do. Then some light weathering and she's done!
  18. Steering cylinders installed and piped, outriggers installed & piped. Operators controls detailed, gauge decals, caution decals, bits and pieces here and there, and the window gaskets painted.
  19. THAT is such a superb build you did, Charlie..............I want to make one up as an M54 wrecker, or as an M52 with a tank on the back, to replicate one we built for our fire department with a 2800 gal tank, square dump discharges, etc. It was a 1961 Mack. Or, to be the 1962 M54 I had at my old shop, which was a Reo as well. So many projects, so little time!
  20. I will do that with the M54 Charlie thank you! I have kept a rough total and it is well over 1000. But I think I will try to get an accurate total. Thank you for the good words.........you have been my inspiration as I never once tried a scratch build before that roller. It is fun that cannot be beat! Assembly starts tomorrow night. Needed to exercise patience to let the paint dry so I don't mess it up with fingerprints.......hard learned lessons from times gone by!
  21. I would totally appreciate that Jeff! I'll send you a message. Thanks!
  22. Unmasked and SO tempting to start assembly. But, gotta exercise patience!
  23. Aw man, Jeff, did ya REALLY have to post that photo???? THAT looks very interesting! Maybe time to hunt down some manuals.............................!
