Actually, I DID save all of the correspondence from him in a folder. eBay didn't do anything about his complaint as they realized that this guy was a flake. I am not worried about him, but I did , as said, save his emails. Heck, I run a gun shop................! But, it does show what kind of people exist "out there" and how some of them think! It takes all kinds to make the world go 'round!

Scott, that looks great..............a bit of weathering and it will look just like the real deal after a bit of service. I use balsa, and as it is quite soft, I beat it up a bit with dents and dings and sometimes even some tears and splinters in it and stain it with actual used dirty motor oil and grease. Personally, I find that the actual oils and grease work better than trying to replicate something.

Got it masked for the silver and painted. Came out ok

The company I used to work for had a contract with a local sawmill that would custom cut us oak boards up to 12" wide and any size we needed when we were redecking our lowboys. I have seen all sorts of different widths, and don't think there really is any standard, at least based upon all of the different pieces of equipment I used to repair.

Used the Dremel tool to cut the glass channel around the windshield and rear window openings. Got the cab into primer and final bodywork done, and then got the red done. After a few days of drying to allow masking for the two tone job , will get the second color of silver done. Wheels and tires assembled and attached.

I sell lots of stuff on eBay, mostly gun parts and some toys as well. And I always write a code for what it is on the label so as not to get stuff mixed up. So I sell a stock bolt for a JC Higgins Model 60 shotgun to someone from the midwest. I write M60BOLT on the label. He gets the package and sends me an email, totally berating me for writing such an evil thing on his package. He says that I just tagged the FBI onto him for buying M60 machine gun parts. He then reports me to eBay for selling machine gun parts. He continues to send me emails threatening my well being for exposing him to the ATF and FBI as a buyer of machine gun parts, and what the **** did I think I was doing? Didn't I know that saying there were machine gun parts in the envelope would make someone follow the package to his door to arrest him????!!!! I have been selling "stuff" on eBay for years, and this is definitely the most paranoid wingnut I have EVER encountered. Not to mention that the package I sent him fit into an envelope 3 inches long and weighed 2 ounces. A real M60 machine gun bolt would be much longer and heavier. eBay actually apologized to me for his insults, and then disabled his account.

Chassis and body all done. Just have to finish the tires and mount them and then attack the cab and the engine intake and exhaust systems. Am awaiting dremel bits to cut the glass channels for the windshield and rear window. This thing looks like a bowl full of black spaghetti underneath with all the hydraulic lines, exactly like my old truck. Am going to paint the cab red with silver/gray sides, in the factory two tone style. Am also going to try my hand at mild weathering instead of a paint shop fresh build.

Got the air tanks and fairlead installed and the load tie down d-rings. Installed the brakes. Installed all of the air, fuel and hydraulic lines and got paint on the chassis and rollback body. I mixed up a batch of Detroit green and painted the engine as well.

Added the rest of the underbody cross members, and built the headache rack. Still have to make a roller fairlead for the winch. Attached the fuel tanks, hydraulic tank, battery boxes and the tool boxes. Need to detail the mounts with hex nuts yet.

I have been trying to join a site on Johnson rifles for almost two weeks. Am having the same issue, it never offers the security challenge. Gotta love this high tech age we live in, no?

I have two barrister cases that have three sections each with glass fronts, as well as an old gun cabinet that I added glass shelves in. I also have an old china cabinet, with glass doors, and all of these work very well, keeping the models dust free and protected.

That one was from Moluminum with a double turbo modification made to it. Gary Wallace, AITM, and a few others offer what is essentially the same engine, all VERY nicely made. I've made them from 1 1/2 8V71 engines as well when i could not find a resin kit.

Very nice paint....................and black is VERY unforgiving! Just picked up one of these kits.............can't wait to do something with it.

Made up a three bank hydraulic valve and attached it to the left rear of the frame. Put some levers on it, and just need to add the knobs and piping. Also added the mounting bolts for the hydraulic winch. NOW, on to the rest of the truck.......................

I finished up the lift cylinder mounting supports and the attachment for the cylinder rods to the subframe. The lift system is done, and now it's time to make up a hydraulic valve to run it all and get it all piped. Left the pivot pins removable for the meantime and will final install them after paint. Threw together a winch very similar to the homebuilt one that was on my truck, made from a double reudction gearbox and a hydraulic motor. That thing had LOTS of power! The only issue with it was that with all of the reduction ratio, it was necessary to rev the truck quite high to get any speed out of the winch. Time to move on to the piping, brakes and air lines as well as getting the rest of the frame done with the fuel tanks, air and hydraulic tanks and the engine and cab...............so much to do, so little time!
