  1. Tremendous work on all three! Thank you for sharing them with us!
  2. Thank you to you and your crew who put this show on, Justin. It is always fantastic to be able to put faces to screen names and to share our passion for this hobby, as well as being able to draw inspiration from so many incredibly talented builders! Great job!
  3. Thanks guys, it WAS great to put faces with screen names. That is one of the main reasons why these shows are so much fun to go to. Add that to the inspiration one gets from seeing so many unbelievable builds, and talking to so many with the same passion, and it makes these shows awesome!
  4. You hit a home run with that old dog, Jim.................and it looked awesome in person!
  5. Saw that beauty today Jeff, looks great in the photos and even better in person!
  6. Yup, I always followed this old mantra: If you show up early at your job, you're on time. If you show up on time, you're late. If you show up late, you're fired.
  7. Same here...................I NEVER finish a build in mere months, which is why I didn't bother, but my GMC 9500 seemed like it was built at the speed of light!
  8. Very nice tip.........................gonna try it tonite. THANKS!
  9. Wonderful work on a classic kit...... absolutely beautiful!
  10. Got this one done in two months.......amazing! It is a replica of the actual truck I used to have. It was a 1980 9500 rollback with a 6V92T, (replaced the original 6V53 by a previous owner), and a 5x2 transmission/rear end. It has a diamond plate 22 foot rollback body with a hydraulic winch. The cab is an AITM resin with a flip hood modification, a Backyard Shed resin engine, an AMT Ford frame, and parts box axles and springs. The dashboard is scratchbuilt from a Ford Louisville, and the body is totally built from Evergreen Styrene and it all works. I plan on doing some light weathering at a later date. Pretty happy with how it came out and how well it replicates the original.
  11. Thanks! Another night of details and Under Glass will be the next stop.
  12. Spent all day getting little details done..... got the company name decals on, mirrors installed, hood hinge made and hood and cab attached, exhaust system attached, air intake and filter system made and installed, underhood intake duct fabricated and installed, winch cable installed, grille and headlights installed and lettered, radiator brace and steering column installed, fuel filters installed, lightbar attached, hood grab handles attached, cab marker lights and horn attached, and all of the rest of the little handles, lights etc sorted out and ready to attach. Busy day, but the end is in sight this week. Still have bed and tail lights to do, front directionals, small decals, windshield wipers, hydraulic fill cap, door handles, DOT reflective stripe, front bumper, battery box latches, hood latches, cab grab handles, bed work lights, and light weathering to do.
  13. Those Dusters were always a fast car on the streets when I was growing up. And there was a green one JUST like that one that gave my GTO fits. Nice work! Brings back good memories!
  14. Very nice looking build. Nice old Bulldog!
  15. Got the paint two tone line all smoothed out, painted the interior, installed sun visors, made up the outside mirrors, installed the dash board and front and rear glass, vent window posts and windshield center post. Got the bumper and grille chromed with Molotow. Installed radiator hoses and made up the exhaust system complete with rain flap cap. The amazing thing about this build is that I started it less than two months ago...............................I usually take at least 8-12 months to get something done. WOW!
  16. Thank you Tim for continuing to keep us all in the loop of the history of our hobby. Absolutely awesome work sir!
  17. Very cool old Mack, and VERY well done!
  18. Tried to see what the suspension was, but my eyes just ain't that good! I USED to have both the conventional and cabover kits with the torsion suspension, but sadly, no longer.
  19. Fantastic work! What did you use for the exhaust flex pipe?
  20. Good eyes! BUT, the seller is cagey, he never says it is "factory " sealed, he simply says it is "sealed in plastic".........................Caveat Emptor situation FOR SURE! Vintage 1960's MPC RICKSHA Sealed Model Car Kit George Barris Chintatown Express Sealed in Plastic. There is one corner where the plastic has came off that the box corner has a small bend/fold This is a RARE one.
  21. Yeah, in my line of business, we seldom see the wingnuts, because someone who shops for their firearms at a gun shop, as opposed to the street corner, is 99.9% of the time, a good person. That said, we HEAR about a lot of "wingnuts" and people who should not be allowed to own a dull spoon, let alone a gun. My gunsmith, who works part time for me, is a corrections officer full time. The stories of the people he handles are incredible. We DO have a few tales though as there is always that one guy who is stupid enough to try to buy a gun for nefarious reasons at a gun shop. A fellow came in one day and my son waited on him. My son asked what he could help him with. The fellow answered, in a very flat voice, " I want a revolver". We always ask what purpose they want the gun for, i.e., so as not to sell him an elephant gun to go squirrel hunting with, the proper tool for the job. The guy said "I have some unfinished business I need to settle". My son immediately told him, "sorry, we will not even let you handle a gun let alone try to buy one". The guy then said "fine, I'll get one on the black market". He left and my son called the local PD and gave them description and plate number, and the PD, who knew the guy by description, (small town we are in), had him arrested within ten minutes. He is well known, as a person with MANY issues. Turns out, he was in court that morning and threatened a judge, and wanted to "settle the score". He then spent the next 6 months as a client of my gunsmith! Yup, there are LOTS of crazies out there!
  22. Yup, looks EXACTLY like the photos in the WWII era Tech Manual I have that shows all vehicles and armor that was in Uncle Sam's inventory in 1944. AWESOME!
  23. Some of those older cabover kits came with the torsion bar suspension, the newer ones did not. Nice kits to come across, to be sure!
