Whats your next step, JC?
-
Now that is a neat idea I never thought of!!…..looking good, bud!!!

Sounds so familiar, Gerry. That's why I usually build two easier curbsides between each detailed build, but this kit has taken so much work, I may do more than two. If I hadn't went crazy with the detailing, it woulda been easier, but I thought if I was gonna build it, I should do it all the way, just incase I couldn't build another one.

Thanks, bud, but I fear i'm starting to get tired of it. Happens every time a build takes me too long. Its a good thing its only got a couple thigs left to do.

Its gonna be killer, bud!!

Tamiya 1/24 Mazda Savanna RX-7 - 1st Generation Rotary Rocket
Dann Tier replied to Italianhorses's topic in WIP: Model Cars
That sounds like an interesting technique, Tommy!... -
I'd still build it, bud......it is worth it!
-
Thanks, Ben!!, its not 100%, but it does fit about 95% better, just as decent as other kits. Lets face it, no kit really is perfect, but what we started-off with on this kit was HORRIBLE.....now its pretty nice, and people can see that it CAN be built properly.

Thanks, Trevor!!

Finally got a little bit of time to get some more done. I managed to finish SB the cowl release assemblies, the rear wire harness, and redo the rear heat shield that I discovered was too narrow. All I have left now after painting these parts, are; mirrors, exhaust tips, door markers, and glass......not much at all!
-
Thanks, bud!!, good to hear from you again!!

Tamiya 1/24 Mazda Savanna RX-7 - 1st Generation Rotary Rocket

I always go back and check to make sure its all good to go too. I love the Tamiya tapes...never let me down. -
I'm gonna enjoy following this!!! -if it were me, i'd use Tamiya over Zero ANY day!, and as to parts fitment, I always sand to anticipate paint, and finish thickness, so I sand all parts til they seat-down all the way, with a bit of a wiggle to them.

Thanks, Atin!!

I am so sorry about what happened, and I am glad to see you are back at building!! If theres anything I can help with, just let me know! I KNOW Ed would be proud of this build!! I think its looking OUTSTANDING!!, and i'm also glad you DIDNT use the black panel liner on this......it would totally ruin the realism, the gray is more realistic!!….Well Done!!!, look forward to following this!!
