Hey Dave, I agree with what most of what everyone has said, it seems to me that your "problem" is that, like me, your tastes lean more towards the lesser seen subjects of our hobby! If you put your focus on subjects that are so over-done that they become almost cliche you would get many more views and comments, but at the same time, by doing more obscure subjects the folks that take the time to look and comment appreciate your work much more than the ones that look in to see "just another..." model! So, just "do you", and realize that while there may be less interest over all, the interest that is there is better interest!!

Yes, it is very strange how they manage to co-mingle something like classic literature with an animated cartoon these days, Nie! I know that Poe was featured in at least one episode of the Simpsons also. Anyways I hope that you continue to have an interest in literature, good luck with your schooling, and also keep showing us your wonderful models!

I have always really liked Edgar Allen Poe. He had a way of giving you the idea of what was happening, without all the blood and guts detail of today's writers. Also, this is probably very cliche, but, I love Mark Twain's work too.

Great project, since Plymouth and Chevy were direct competitors they had similar size cars, so the boot from the '57 or '59 Chevy convertible may be very close, or, at least, close enough that you can use one of them as a good base for modifying to fit the Plymouth. Thanks for sharing that, Ron! I have sometimes wondered what became of that car, and had thought that it had probably given up all it's useful parts to a more popular model years ago. It is nice to hear that it is still intact!

I saw a '67 Country Squire at a car show in Columbus, OH some years ago. It had the complete 7-Litre option in it, with the 428, buckets and council, suspension upgrade and all. It also had the original build sheet and invoice along with several hand written letters. One of them was from Lee Iacocca to the original owner explaining that he appreciated that the man had a love for performance cars, but needed a more practical wagon for his young family, and that he would personally contact the plant and authorize the building of such a car! The car was also verified to have been the only Country Squire built with that equipment in 1967. Unfortunately, when I saw it it looked like it was over due for a trip to the junkyard! I only saw that car the one time, that was probably in the early to mid 90s, I really hope that someone stepped up and saved that very unique car.

I suspect that because the Ranger and Pacer models rode on the Ford platform, and the Corsair and Citation on the Mercury platform. AMT/ERTL already had the majority of the tooling for the lower end models from the '57/58 Ford, as far as I know, they never made a '57/58 Mercury, so it was much easier, and cheaper to make the Pacer.

That is a really nice kit, Jon, everything goes together very well. Also, if you mix-and-match some of the parts from the AMT coupe you can come up with a very nicely detailed stock woody with some of the extra accessories! Good luck with yours, will be watching your progress.

I've had a very similar experience to Bill. Saw a few people in it, logged in, even said "hello" to try to get a conversation started, no reply, then watched them log off. I guess if they don't see some earth-shattering conversation going on they don't want to be bothered!

I have had the same problem as the rest of you guys, couldn't get past the first page, let alone find the information I was looking for! Not a very good way to attract new customers, or keep your old ones!

The Chevelle reminds me of the '70 Olds Rallye 350, but that somebody dropped something on it's roof. IMHO, the '57 Chevy is already one of the ugliest cars of all time, not alot can be done to make it worse.
