  1. The Johan '60 De Soto would look really nice in that color Steve, and would be right up your alley! That is if you haven't built too many of them already!!
  2. Sorry, Harry, we're not allowed to like Chicago teams here! (My area, not the forum!) But, if you say you root against that nasty blue & yellow school with the big "M" that is near here that would even it up!
  3. Surprised this one hasn't been mentioned yet, but back in the heyday of modeling if Monogram issued a 1:24 scale kit, and AMT, Revell, etc. came out with the same subject in 1:25 no one could be accused of copying from each other.
  4. But I don't have a website where I can be tracked to!!
  5. I'm all in, maybe we can get a movement going!!
  6. Very well done Tom! Nice to see a '59 once in a while!
  7. Got about 10 dashboard decal sets from Best Model Car Parts for current and planned projects, as usual their work is very nice, and adds a very nice touch to the interior!
  8. Very well done Jan! Don't see too many '65s here let alone a drop-top!
  9. It seems to me that the younger folks are not really opposed to the idea of building a model, in fact, most I have known have tried it at least once. But, for many of the activities they have been involved in, they have, at the very least, received an award just for participating! No one wants to be responsible for telling a child that they didn't do very well, that might hurt their feelings and mess them up for life! And as all of us well know, model building takes a lot of time, and many failed attempts, to eventually become good at, the younger folks seem to get discouraged and give up on any activity that they don't look like an old pro at the first time they try it.
  10. Or put all their money up their nose!
  11. Very nice Dave, I think most of us with an old car have a story very similar to yours, I definitely do! But we didn't give up the dream!
  12. You are right Jason, the Moebius kits are very nice kits, great job on yours!
  13. Very cool! I always follow these because one of my earliest memories is of my grandparents' '62 440 hardtop, a triple beige example. Let's just say it was an "interesting" looking car!
  14. Very nice! I have that one too, and it is a very simple, but nice, kit!
  15. Well done Bob, nice to see something out of the ordinary!
  16. Very well done Bill! The results are well worth the effort!
  17. Very well done, haven't seen one of those in a long time!
  18. Very nice work, that color really compliments that car!
  19. Engine and interior look great Curtis! Body is coming along nicely too.
  20. Hello everyone, I bought a AMT/Round 2 '56 Ford Victoria kit last week, when I opened it it had a rather strange deformation in the bottom rear section of the right side where the door and quarter panel meet, there is actually a section of plastic missing that almost looks like a thumb indentation, there also seems to be an inordinate amount of flash on the body. Just curious if anyone else has had the same problem with this kit, and your experiences with getting replacement parts from Round 2?
  21. Good luck Jim, but as others have said that is a rather routine procedure, and those aren't pre-med students that are working on you!
  22. Very nice Steve, always enjoy watching your work!
  23. Very nice Bob! That grille you are using looks to be a very close to stock Oldsmobile grille from 1946-48.
  24. Not to get off subject here guys, but don't give up on Revell quite yet Tulio! If you combine the AMT '49 Merc coupe with the Revell wagon (I used the engine, skirts, spotlights, tires, and a few other pieces from the coupe), it builds up into a very nice model!
