  1. Those are beautiful Richard!
  2. Well done Al! The '59 is one of my favorites!
  3. The Titanic also carried a kedge anchor in the forecastle area to maneuver around tight areas to meet legal requirements,Harry, although there was no possible way a ship of that size could possibly have been kedged. Also, how about RMS Lusitania while on the subject of ill-fated liners?
  4. Nice job Fred! You can definitely see how many kits gave up their parts for this one with all those different colors!!
  5. Nice save of a very unusual subject!
  6. Very well done Paul, don't see too many stock ones!
  7. Thanks for backing me up on that Jeff! We could also use some Cadys, Lincolns, Mercs, independents, and pretty much any thing other than over-done Fords and Chevys!
  8. Welcome Mack! Always nice to see some younger folks getting into the hobby!
  9. Wow! Those cars are beautiful, and that kit doesn't come around too often! Good luck saving it Curtis I'll be watching your progress!
  10. Nice job on one you don't see too often Jim!
  11. Looking very good Tim!
  12. We could use some kits of full-sized BOP cars from ANY year!
  13. Welcome Tamron, you will definitely build some bad ones at first!! I would also like to give my deepest appreciation for your service!
  14. Andy quoted me just after Christmas, his profile says he hasn't visited since Jan. 16, he does add a lot to the forum. Things can get very hectic just after the holidays especially if you live in a bad weather area, I hope he is ok also!
  15. Awesome save Tommy!
  16. Steve, the red would be great on this car, but that is a very elegant looking car, IMO the white top would be too much of a contrast. If you prefer a two tone, maybe consider a black top.
  17. Mopars from that era really stand out, I'll be pulling for you!
  18. Those are very sharp cars, one you don't see built too often, hope it goes well for you!
  19. Very well done.
  20. That is terrible news Joe! Very sorry to hear about your wife, my prayers go out to both of you!!
  21. Another very unusual subject Steven, this will be very interesting!
  22. I think Eric was referring to factory, or dealer installed, correct Ace.
  23. Wow!! Very cool, congratulations on your win!
  24. I have been involved in many different swap meets for many different hobbies, but they are all very similar in that the prices the vendors ask for their pieces are always all over the board. Before I head off to any swap meet I always decide what I'm willing to pay for an item regardless of what some "price guide" says it is "worth", I am always willing to pay a little more for the ability to actually look at an item before I buy it, and to carry it home with me that day, rather than have to take the time to go through the process of ordering something, waiting for the order to be processed and delivered, and hoping that the vendor's description of it's condition is close to mine. While I am there I try to do a dry run around the show to see who has anything I might be interested in at the best price. If the vendor's asking price and my willing to pay price are too far apart I just keep going, but if they are close, then the vendor's attitude plays a huge role! If I try to negotiate a price and he growls back at me "NO, where are you going to find it any cheaper?!" I actually have an advantage, because with a few taps on my smart phone I can usually come back with "I just did!!", and go on my way! Anyways, in the end with a strategy and a little patience, I can almost always find items I am looking for at, or below, what I am willing to pay!
  25. For what it's worth Eric, I believe the double white tires could be considered correct for your Ford. Lincoln offered them in '34, they are a totally different class of car than a Ford, but in those days I think a customer could get what ever he was willing to pay for on his car!
