Thanks for the comments guys! I've been playing around with the chassis try to get the wheels centered in the wheel wells a little better. I think I got it where I want it now. Thanks for looking!

Until we see a new tool '65 GTO hardtop kit, [are you watching this Revell?] the old AMT kit is the only game in town, which is great if you want a convertible, otherwise you have to glue the hardtop on which is included in the kit, and it is no fun! I originally started this one about 12 years ago, painted it and didn't like my body work on the roof so back in the box it went! Now that I'm somewhat more skilled now, I dug it back out, stripped the paint and attacked the body again and now I'm much happier , although it's not perfect. I scribed in the panel lines around the cowl, added drip rails were the roof meets the A-pillar, painted with Duplicolor and cleared it, foiled it and this is where I'm at now. So see what you think and your comments are always welcome! Thanks for looking!

This looks very nice! Engine looks top notch as does the interior. I like your choice of yellow over the more common red. Can't wait to see this finished!

I'm with Harry on this! I have not had a bad paint job since I've been using Duplicolor, straight out of the can as I don't have an airbrush.

I can't belive they let it slide

That door handle didn't bother me as much as the windshield wiper pivots being located in the wrong place! How do you miss that? -
Never mind! I just re-read the post and got my answers!

This looks like it's going to be one of the best looking '57 Fords done in scale ever! Did you change the interior trim as well ? I like the hood latch you added, scratch built I take it? Can't wait to see this one under glass, it's going to be a beauty!

It's a beauty Lyle!

Thanks for all the kind words everyone! Here's a chassis pic I forgot to add. Thanks again, I'm glad you all liked it!

Paint and details are awesome! Just an all around great build!

Finished the '57 150 tonight. Paint is Duplicolor silver and white, engine wired and plumbed. Dressed it up a bit with wide whitewalls. This is a great kit and goes together without any trouble. Thanks for looking!

Just finished the 283 today. I added ignition wiring, choke tube, fuel line, crankcase draft tube and dipsticks for oil and the powerglide. Thanks for looking, questions and comments always welcome!

I got some progress on the engine to post, still need to wire and plumb. Will it be a four barrel? Or will it be fuel injected? Check it out later to find out!

Thanks for the comments guys! I spent most of Sunday night putting in the windows. I tape them into position, then I use Aleene's Tacky Glue thinned with water brushed around the window, it just flows between the window and body and sets up to form a really tight bond. Best of all it cleans up with water and dries clear. On the vent windows, I used some chrome silver paint to make a "frame" around the glass, adds a little realism to the vents Thanks for looking!

Just finished the interior, painted with Krylon semi gloss black and Testor silver. I repositioned the gear selector to the park position as I'm using the automatic trans. Thanks for looking!

Here's the interior painted and mocked-up. Thanks for looking!

The frame rails were hand painted with no masking. I painted them with Model Master semi gloss black out of the jar.

I wanted a back seat in my 150, so I scratched this one from the old tool Revell '55 Chevy [ the one with the opening doors that dates back to the 60's] I cut the back of the seat from the cushion, widened it to fit the 150, added some styrene to thicken the back cushion, puttied and shaped the mess! Now I see Modelhaus has a backseat available for this kit! Maybe I'll get one for the next one. Thanks for looking!

Not much to update other than I finished painting the frame rails. I've been kind of messing around building a back seat for it, if it turns out I'll post pics of that. I also learned that The Modelhaus is offering a backseat for the Black Widow kit, I may order one for my next 150 build.

When I got off work today I had nothing pressing to do, so I polished it up and foiled it. I'm glad a 150 has pretty sparse trim because my foil supply is down to just small scraps!

Thanks George! These were factory colors, Inca Silver and Imperial Ivory and were available on a 150. I might even run white walls on this one!

Thanks for the comments guys! To answer your questions, this will be a factory stock build, I'm thinking about adding a backseat. The paint is Duplicolor sprayed right from the can. Still debating over the fuel injection or 4 barrel induction. I would like to build an injected Belair hardtop in the future, this unit would look right at home under the hood!

I wasn't going to start a new build until after my oldest daughters wedding at the end of June, but I was extremely bored this last weekend and decided I would just tear into this '57! I decided on painting it silver and white because I liked this color scheme and I had the paint on hand and I'm on a tight budget! I will polish this out when it's cured well enough, get the foil on it and that should motivate me to get rolling on the rest. Thanks for looking!
