  1. Just finished this one, built from the crappy AMT Fast & Furious kit. Added R/T badges from the Revell '68 Charger kit, back up lamps from the same. I had a lot of fun building this, something I just had to do! Thanks for looking, questions and comment always welcome!
  2. For the wood trim, I painted it with Testors flat brown, then brushed some Tamiya Smoke X-19 over the brown. This is the first time I've tried this, I think it looks convincing enough.
  3. Here are some mock-up photos before the glass goes in. I was going to use the mags and blackwall tires, but it looked like it was missing something. So I redlined the kit tires and detailed some Magnum 500's from the '69 GTX kit, put them on and I think they just made this car "pop". Thanks for looking!
  4. Finished the interior today, I added foil, paint details, scratched some door lock knobs, added parts box shifter and pedals. thanks for looking!
  5. Painted the body Duplicolor medium metallic green, got the foiling done, engine finished. Thanks for looking.
  6. Perfect in every way!
  7. Yeah George, it's to bad the had to butcher the original MPC tooling for the Dukes kit. They did correct the rear window on this one somewhat [it looks a little small when compared to the Revell]. I guess that was one of the reasons I would try to make something presentable out of this, it's cheap entertainment for me also!
  8. This kit is anything but a '70 Charger. It includes the stock '69 grill with the inserts, the so called '70 loop bumper that is more of a cartoon than a stock '70 bumper and a real '70 has different front fenders about 2" longer. Did you see my hood in the picture? What hole ? This kit has the hood without the hole, its scoops are wrong, but I had a Revell '69 hood in my parts box that with a little filing fits perfectly. And there is nothing wrong with the Revell Chargers, I have built three of them already, This build is strictly for fun, just to see what I can do with this.
  9. I picked this up at a Big Lots store for $5, thought I could use it for parts, opened the box and thought I would give it a shot turning it into a some what stock '69. Just doing this as a fun build between now and Christmas. Thanks for looking!
  10. Very beautiful car Marcos! Your sidemarker treatment turned out great! You are a master!
  11. Just finished this Charger, Revell gets an A++ for the way this kit is goes together, no problems what so ever! Thanks for looking!
  12. Marcos. I'm looking at what is probably the most beautiful 1/25 scale '68 Charger ever! The paint and color combo really make this build jump out and grab your attention! Your right about the tailight panel, I don't want to think about how much foil I wasted until I was satisfied with mine. Thanks for sharing your progress!
  13. Got a lot done last night, body and chassis are now one. This kit has the best fitting chassis of any I've done to date, fits like a glove with no trimming at all. Thanks for looking.
  14. I got a little more done on this build, glass is installed and engine is completed. Thanks for looking !
  15. Very nice and clean! I'd say the body was a steal for $10.00, very nice piece!
  16. Thanks for the comments guys ! And thanks for the picture harry, just brought up a detail I never noticed before, the courtesy light on the c-pillar.
  17. It looks like a winner to me ! Perfect paint that looks a mile deep, flawless foiling ! Can't wait to see it completed Marcos. Keep it up!
  18. Finally sat down and finished the interior this weekend. Thanks for looking!
  19. Thanks for the comment Dave. I liked silver for this car, kind of gives it a "timeless" feel, as the first generation Chargers were dated over night as soon as the fresh new '68's were introduced. And no, I'm not "Joe the Plumber", I'm Bill the Plumber, the one that shows up at your house 2 hours late! LOL
  20. Been working on this for the better part of a month now, [i work slow!] I hope to get something more done this weekend. Painted and cleared with Duplicolor. Thanks for looking!
  21. Your off to a great start, paint looks great! I think a light shade of tan would look great for the interior.
  22. Gary, the only thing I ran into is to make sure the interior tub is built square and the dash is all the way down in the slots in the interior side panels, I had the passenger side up to high so the tub wouldn't fit up into the body so I had to correct that, never had that problem on the '69s I've built, make sure you dry fit and check before gluing. I didn't glue the tub to the body, just let the chassis trap it in place. The radiator/core support needs to be installed at the same time as the chassis. Other wise a great kit with very few other fit issues.
  23. Sorry Erik, I'm saving the steelies for a future project. I'm sure if you ask around though, someone will have a set as this kit seems pretty popular right now.
  24. Thank you Hans! I'm totally flattered!
  25. I rate it 8.5. I had to move the rear axle forward on the leafs about 2mm to center the wheels in the rear wheelwells, the dash uses the '69 dash pad, the '68 1:1 has a peaked center. No kit is ever perfect, but this one comes close, it's a must have for everyone!
