  1. Very nice old gasser! Nice touch changing the rear wheel opening back to stock also!
  2. Another beauty Marcos! I wouldn't want to give it up either!
  3. Don't sweat it John! I'm sure this was a rare sight back in '58, it seems most cars back then were some sort of pastel color, and these metallics were sort of in their infancy yet, buyers might have been a little scared of something new!
  4. I like the solid blue Erik! Very clean and well done!
  5. Thanks for the comments everyone! The color was called Inca silver, available in '56,'57 and '58 on Chevrolets and Corvettes.
  6. All I can say is "WOW"! This is like a 1/25th scale version of "Overhaulin"! Only better! Great job, she's a beauty!
  7. Just finished my first build of 2010. AMT '57 Chevy kit [old tool dating back to '62]. I added the photo etch detail set from Model Car Garage, fuel injection from the Revell Black Widow kit. Painted with Duplicolor silver. Thanks for looking!
  8. This build is almost finished, I worked on the headlight buckets to get the best fit possible, I don't remember having a problem when I built this kit as a kid! The headlight lens detail is horrible[as in there totally smooth], found a better set of lenses in the parts box. Under hood details finished, back bumper and tail light housings installed. Look for it later "Under Glass". Thanks for looking!
  9. The body, interior, chassis are all one now. Just need to finish a few under hood items and then trim it out! Thanks for looking!
  10. Finished engine and chassis for the most part. I used the fuel injection setup from the Revell Black Widow kit on the AMT kit engine. Added ignition wires, heater hoses. Also made a generator bracket from styrene strip so it didn't look like it is just floating in mid-air! Thanks for looking!
  11. Thanks for the comments guys! If the crossed flags on the front fenders didn't give it away, this one is going to have fuel injection. I'll be using the left over unit from the Revell Black Widow kit back when I built my silver and white 150.
  12. Finished adding the photo etch to the body today, first time I've used it! This was more nerve racking than foiling, but the results are worth it. Thanks for looking!
  13. This kit has very poor proportions compared to the 1:1 car, but the way you've done it it just looks so right! Very well done!
  14. This was the last issue of this kit, came with the stock wheels and tires or custom rims and tires.
  15. Thanks for the comments everyone! The Chevelle is the Revell kit, I have the AMT kit unbuilt, I don't know which one is better, I would imagine the Revell kit is the better of the two.
  16. I'm doing a Belair. I purchased a Model Car Garage photo etched detail set, it has the "wedge" piece of trim for a Belair, rather than using the kit provided decal. http://www.modelcargarage.com/store/pc/vie...uct=182#details
  17. Finished the foiling, painted the inner fenders semi gloss black. I still have to paint the headliner then I'll be ready for the photo etch. Thanks for looking!
  18. A bunch of great 2009 models Ron and I hope you have an even greater 2010! I love the '62 Bird!
  19. Very, very nice builds! I can't wait to see the Lincoln finished, I love what you've done so far!
  20. A very clean and well built collection! I really like the '60 Mercury!
  21. What a beautiful collection! I love the '57 210 sedan!
  22. Great group of builds Marcos! The Vega is something you don't see everyday in 1:1 or 1/25th!
  23. I figure I'll play along to! I must of had more free time than I thought I had this past year! The Charger 500 still needs a correct grill and hood, but I'm counting it anyway!
  24. Very nice job Mike, You can never have enough blue Mopars in your display case! Did the wrap around stripe come with this kit this time around?
  25. I have the interior all painted and foiled, used a black wash on the cloth parts of the seat and door panels as the the 1:1 had a "cloud pattern" type of cloth that showed some red through the black, foiled all the interior trim. Also finished chassis painting, red oxide primer with over spray and semi gloss black frame rails, exhaust painted steel. Thanks for looking!
