  1. Nice build. I like this model kit. And bought quite a few of them during the last release. Only built one, stashed the rest away. I really only wanted it for the trailer. The one I built turned out great, By the way, they need mirrors............
  2. this is easily the funniest thing I have read today. Thanks for posting it.
  3. Brutal. this would be an awesome vehicle in 1:1.
  4. No. However if someone has paid you to eat your boogers, then I guess your a Pro.
  5. I have been building model cars for 40+ years. however, no one has ever paid me to do it. does that mean all my kits are "Amateur Built?"................
  6. twenty degrees for the low? LOL. we leave the window open and get fresh air when its that warm.
  7. at least in New Mexico, it melts away before May.
  8. thanks. now I have to clean my keyboard off. I laughed pretty good at that one. from the picture, it looks like a couple of hills.
  9. yes. I do paint everything. I do not believe I have OCD. I just feel better knowing that my completed model is the way I want it. boy, you go through alot of flat black doing a model this way.
  10. I have already cut, split and stacked about twenty cords of wood. prepped my F250 & The H3 for winter driving, and putting new Goodyear Wranglers on the wifes Nissan Xterra today. The cars are winterized, and ready for their seven month nap. AND I have painted a bunch of kits. I have a dozen bodies painted.. Mostly Ford stuff ('67 GT 500, '68 GT 350, '73 Mach 1, '67 Fairlane, '95 F150, '32 Ford Coupe) a few Mopars ('69 Dart GTS, '68 Charger R/T, '64 Belvedere) and a couple of Chevy's ('70 1/2 Camaro, Boyds Chevy Pick Up, '65 Chevelle Z16). so my winter building schedule is moving right along. of course, it has been winter here already for about a month.
  11. Revell 1969 Dodge Dart GTS. Great Kit. Revell 1968 Dodge Charger R/T. Another great kit. Revell 1970 Ford Torino Cobra. One of my current favorites. I would have to add the Monogram 1970 Ford Mustang in all of its variations. BOSS 429, BOSS 302, I enjoy building every version.
  12. AMT 1969 Chevelle SS396. one of the worst kits ever. AMT 1967 GTO. another real loser.
  13. thats funny. I dont know how much money I have in this hobby. probably dont want to know, either. after more than four decades, I'll bet it's pretty substantial.
  14. "Take No Prisoners". - Lt.Col. George A. Custer. June 25 1876.
  15. I have a couple of those '67 Impala kits. won them in a trivia contest at a 1:1 car show. never even bothered to open them. not what I usually build. However, recently I looked at a very nice Impala SS at a car show. they are really nice cars. when optioned correctly.
  16. Yes.I have seen careless dimwits at model car shows break things. it is one of the reasons I no longer enter my models at any event. However, I have seen the same stupidity at 1:1 car shows as well. any time you invite the general public to an event, you get all kinds of people. Some have respect for other people's property. Lately, it seems that many people do not have any respect at all.
  17. Went to a small car show today in Miles City, Montana.
  18. Thats a very nice '67 Mustang. great build up.
  19. I started collecting Hot Wheels around Christmas, 1968. when I received a carrying case and a bunch of redlines. The only problem is, I never stopped. the numbers in my collection have become........astronomical. my name is Chuck......................and I'm a diecastaholic........................
  20. most people are not aware that The Ford Probe was supposed to be the Ford "Mustang". Yep. until the public outcry from Mustang lovers everywhere about the rear wheel drive Mustang dying. Ford decided to keep the Mustang on a rear wheel drive platform, and since so much money was already spent on the FWD program, they simply rebadged it as a "Probe". Once, a friend of mine and I were cruising around in my Hot Rod. we pulled up to one of the then new Ford Probe's at a stoplight. we didnt know what it was, so my stupid friend asks this cute gal; "What kinda car is that?", This nice young lady replied, "It's a Probe." His response,..."Huh, well then I guess your favorite shoe would be a Pump?" I laughed so hard I dumped the clutch and killed my poor car.
