I don't own an air brush so I am no help to you there, however I do know that I soaked a body in Super Clean once in an aluminum pan and the bottom of the pan was dissolved the next day, talk about a mess!
I use Aleene's clear gel tacky glue for my headlights. I use tweezers but it's not always the perfect method, as I've had them drop also. All my headlight lens work is done under my magnifier to line the lens up in the correct direction. I would like to experiment with those tacky stick things but they seem kinda pricey for my cheap budget.
I have my inner fenders cut out of the 71 Charger body. My plan is to get it painted body color and get it glued to the chassis instead of glueing it directly to the GTX body. I also have the console cut out of the GTX interior tub and the Charger door panels trimmed down.
