Sort of. If you look on the cab, they're molded into the area at the bottom of the windshield. Not really accurate in any way, but technically the kit has wipers. This is the one I built. It's one of the original issues of the kit. Other than the rear suspension, I'm not sure if they've updated it at all to include better wipers.

Well then. Seems like a strange choice, but I guess there it is. Appeals to the truck builders, appeals to the Rat Fink collectors. I just see it as being like the Coke kits. Lots of decent subject matter to build, lots of extra decals to go in the spares box. Now...how about getting that bucket truck done in a 1/25 kit? I'll bet that would be popular, regardless of the decals included!

Well then I guess we're all done here then right? You'll buy the expensive airbrush, read the manual, watch some You Tube videos, and you'll be doing show quality paint jobs right off the bat. Can't wait to see them! I wonder why you seem so hesitant to listen to advice (which you asked for) from experts. At the very least, give some of the tips in this thread a try.

Norm Macdonald lost nine year battle to cancer.
iamsuperdan replied to Brutalform's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Norm has been one of my fav comedians for years now. I think I first really noticed him when he played Burt Reynolds / Turd Ferguson on the SNL Celebrity Jeopardy skits. Then when he was in Beer League with Artie Lange. I think my fav joke of his that I can post here is his moth joke. “A moth goes into a podiatrist’s office, and the podiatrist’s office says, “What seems to be the problem, moth?” The moth says “What’s the problem? Where do I begin, man? I go to work for Gregory Illinivich, and all day long I work. Honestly doc, I don’t even know what I’m doing anymore. I don’t even know if Gregory Illinivich knows. He only knows that he has power over me, and that seems to bring him happiness. But I don’t know, I wake up in a malaise, and I walk here and there… at night I…I sometimes wake up and I turn to some old lady in my bed that’s on my arm. A lady that I once loved, doc. I don’t know where to turn to. My youngest, Alexandria, she fell in the…in the cold of last year. The cold took her down, as it did many of us. And my other boy, and this is the hardest pill to swallow, doc. My other boy, Gregarro Ivinalititavitch… I no longer love him. As much as it pains me to say, when I look in his eyes, all I see is the same cowardice that I… that I catch when I take a glimpse of my own face in the mirror. If only I wasn’t such a coward, then perhaps…perhaps I could bring myself to reach over to that cocked and loaded gun that lays on the bedside behind me and end this hellish facade once and for all…Doc, sometimes I feel like a spider, even though I’m a moth, just barely hanging on to my web with an everlasting fire underneath me. I’m not feeling good. And so the doctor says, “Moth, man, you’re troubled. But you should be seeing a psychiatrist. Why on earth did you come here?” And the moth says, “Cause the light was on.” I still giggle at that one. And my fav joke that I definitely cannot post here...just google his Dirty Johnny joke, about Uncle Terry and the war. Classic. -
Tamiya Mustang GT4 - Red, White, & Blue - ‘Merica
iamsuperdan replied to lghtngyello03's topic in Model Cars
That turned out great! One question, what's your photo booth setup? I normally don't like photo booth shots, but I like the lighting you have there. This kit has been on the shelves for at least a year! -
That is one nice looking build.

Just as an aside, the Eddie Van Halen comment was me. ? Umm...well panel lines are actually the gap between separate panels. See, on real cars, each body panel is a separate piece, and those are either bolted or welded to an inner structure of some kind, so the panel lines just appear naturally. As you may have noticed, on a plastic model, everything is molded as one piece. Load too much paint and clear onto a body and you fill the panel lines, making them visible, but unrealistic. You keep on comparing painting and finishing models to painting and finishing real cars. You do realize these are completely different right? Anyway, this entire thread reminds me of flat earthers. You have an end result in mind, watched a few You Tube videos, and now everyone else here is wrong, because their advice isn't what you want to hear. So you ignore the advice because it doesn't fit your narrative. Despite the fact that everyone is telling you exactly how to achieve the results you want. Looking forward to seeing your finished results, using the advice of some emailed response from Testor's.

There are dozens upon dozens of You Tubers that get excellent results and they all make it look super easy. But just watching a handful of tutorials doesn't mean you will nail it first time. I've seen countless videos of Eddie Van Halen, and I still can't play like him, despite how he makes it look easy. Same thing here. As both Peter and I said above, you can buy all the gear you want, but without practice, you won't get the results you want. And now, a relevant anecdote. Back in the day (kind of ironically based on your previous response to me) I used to sell Porsches. Sold a new 911 Turbo to a guy who ordered it with all the "go fast" options. Then when it arrived, he spent a ton on aftermarket parts. Then he complained to no end when he got spanked in autocrossing. He went out in his Turbo, and I would follow in my Boxster and destroy his times. The problem was always that his car must be broken, or other cars must have been seriously modified, or the timing gear is faulty. It was never because of his skills or that he had never been on a track before. If you want immediate perfection, you are in for some disappointment.

Have been a fan of this for ages! Garbage are one of my fav bands and have been since the debut album. So when I first heard about Shirley's other band, I had to track down the CD. -

Model Prices vs. Inflation
iamsuperdan replied to Lunajammer's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Just a quick reminder that this thread is about inflation, not a place to make comments about politics. Carry on... -
Favorite Obscure or Discovered Music Album
iamsuperdan replied to afx's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Can't argue with this at all! So many bands here that people outside of Canada should know about. Such as...Danko Jones. New album just came out a week or so ago. And it's a banger. -

Looks great! I had the same issue with the hood on mine. Must be just a quirk of the kit. Now you just need a matching trailer!
