  1. I run the leasing division for one of Canada's larger vehicle lease, rental, sales, and fleet management companies. Our fleet currently has around 12,000 vehicles and 20 branches across Canada. Been here for about 6.5 years now. Before that, spent a few years in industrial sales, which I hated. Awful company, with products I could not care less about. Before that, 5 years of Porsche sales, 3 years running the detail department at a BMW dealer while completing my second university degree, 6 years of running the detail department for a Porsche/VW dealer while getting my first university degree. Before that, lot attendant/detailer at a Hyundai store for a year. Before that three years of being a stockboy at a grocery store. And that's my complete work history!
  2. Some random dude tried to take a dump in his shed. That sounds like a stupid human to me. Pretty sure that would have me fired up and using colourful language as well. Definitely would NOT be a gentleman. "I say there, good man. Might I inquire as to your activities in my domicile? I shall request that you refrain from defecating in my outbuilding!" Anyway... Today's beef: I have to go buy drywall, insulation, baseboards, and some more flooring to fix the water damage in my basement. Going to be an awesome weekend. Not.
  3. Correct! That's why wifey drives a Volvo XC90. In boring white.
  4. If I was building the real thing, this is pretty much how I would want it to look. Nicely done!
  5. I love this generation RX7. Zoom zoom indeed.
  6. I don't know man, I've spent time with a new one from work here ('16 SRT) and my kids did not enjoy the backseat headroom at all, and they're 9 and 12. Marginally better that the Challenger Scat Pack I had.
  7. Heavy rains here today. Overwhelmed our downspouts and drainage abilities. Now I have a wading pool in my basement.
  8. Yeah, I figured the top/bottom out pretty quick. Right after I opened the bag and figured out that half the pins were missing. Makes it interesting when trying to assemble! Decalling is proving to be interesting as well.
  9. Two doors, four doors...doesn't matter to me. The back seat is useless in wither case. My biggest problem is that the Charger isn't available with a manual transmission. Not even in the Hellcat. Until they fix that, and pretense of being performance oriented is just lip service. Charger with an auto transmission? At least it'll match your purse.
  10. Found it. http://www.scaleproduction.com/products/kits-transkits/jetta-vento-2n1-transkit-for-fujimi-golf-mk3/
  11. I remember there used to be a company that did a resin full Mk3 Jetta body for that kit. Saw it over at VW Vortex in a thread. Will see if I can find it. You might be able to do some cutting and splicing.
  12. Nothing too exciting, but everyone loves pics. No detailing done on these in the pics, but I've since taken care of some of that.
  13. Picked up these today. Nothing special, but I have ideas to make them interesting.
  14. 1. Create Photobucket account 2. Add images to photobucket 3. Open image you want and right click, then Copy image 4. Go back here andcreate a thread or reply. 5. click on your post where you want the pic 6. Ctrl-V 7. Have a beer and admire your posted picture. Pic should be posted.
  15. You nailed the conversion. Dimensions are just right.
  16. Very cool idea!
  17. Interesting relevant side note. Yesterday, FCA announced the new Charger Daytona and Challenger T/A. The launch colours? Orange, yellow, and green. Loud colours. As it should be.
  18. I work in the industry, and it's not the manufacturers. Most car makers have a wide colour palette. However, dealers order what sells, and a bright red truck or a yellow car will typically sit on the lot for quite a while. The only cars somewhat immune are "fun" cars like the Mustang or Challenger, or cheap tiny cars favoured by the elderly or certain other demographics, like the Chevy Spark or Hyundai Accent. People have become boring and safe. Another factor that plays in is resale. When I worked for Porsche, 6 of every 10 cars we sold were silver. Of the remaining 4, 3 would be black. Everyone was concerned about resale in a few years. I used to give people BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH about it. Are you ordering for you or for someone else? then get what you want. It's a Porsche, people will buy SMurf blue or Camry beige. Doesn't matter. It's the same with life in general now. Try to find coloured appliances. Look at guitars. Most people will go with blacks, whites, or maybe a sunburst. Screw all that. Yes my daily driver is white, but also I've had two purple cars in the last two years. My project truck is red. I have guitars that are pink, Smurf Blue, neon green, and orange. My phone is green and my stapler is red. Life's too short for boring choices.
  19. I'm going to try to remember to take pics next time I sit to work on this. Trailer is pretty much done. Just need to add the marker lights and apply decals. I'm not a fan of how the Moebius trailer went together, but I'm not sure how they could improve it. Lining up the panels and getting everything to fit square and tight was frustrating. Ending up rigging up braces within the trailer to hold walls in place, tight against the roof. I think I mentioned it before, but half of the tabs were broken off of the walls, so getting it to stay in place was difficult. End result looks great though, and I guess that's what matters. Still working on cab details. Once those are added, it will be decals, then clear, then final assembly.
  20. Personally, I overprice everything I sell on Ebay or Kijiji. Not to the extent that guy does though. And quite often, people will pay my asking price. Which I enjoy very much. Mainly due to dealings on Kijiji. No matter what I price something at, the offers are crazy low. I put a guitar on for $500 and want to get $350 out of it. Then get offers of $100.
  21. Pretty stoked that this arrived today. Been looking for one for a while that wasn't ridiculously overpriced. Found this on Ebay, brand new, unopened packaging.
  22. Got back from an extended weekend away...sans kids. Wifey and I celebrating our 16th anniversary, so bombed off to Jasper National Park for the weekend. Weather was perfect, and was able to stretch the legs on the new truck.
  23. Got the trailer assembled last night. Fitting all of the sides together was a pain. Half of the tabs on the box sides were broken off, so trying to line everything up was interesting. Had to create some extra internal bracing out of old sprues to kind of hold things in place. It's sealed up, so no one will ever see that. Just needs the wheel/suspension assembly mounted and the final detailing, then the trailer is a wrap. On the cab, the interior is fully assembled now. All that's left to be done is final detailing on the cab, then mounting the completed cab on the chassis. Almost done! Yay!
  24. Yeah, I had an idea that involved some cargo. I've since looked it over, and my fab skills aren't to the point where I would be happy with the results, so I'm not going to worry about it right now. Unless of course I'm overthinking this one big time. Possibly on the next one. The image I'm using for decals is really high res. I've printed both big and small versions, and graphics quality is perfect in both cases.
