  1. Thanks guys. I finally found a flaw with this kit! The exhaust stacks were warped. Well...two of the four pieces to make the stacks were warped. Super easy fix though. If someone had told me back when the whole BRBO thing was announced that a kit would take me 10 months to build, I would have laughed my butt off. Now I'm looking at the calender and shaking my head. lolz. Anyway, it's coming along, not too far from an Under Glass post!
  2. Although my Ramcharger is fine, I've had a few warped parts on other kits. Always from domestic brands. I purchase far more kits from Asian brands, and have never had a quality issue of any kind. I don't buy in to the shipping warpage theory at all. It's just sloppy production, which is an easy fix...if a manufacturer wants to fix it that is.
  3. Hmm...the body on mine is just fine. No warping at all.
  4. Was going to say the same. Will this have "Interceptor" across the back?
  5. Good point. I kept it simple. I want to see more modern kits. Let's see some kits based on current vehicles. No offense to anyone here, but personally, the Pete 359 and similar Kenworths are of no interest to me. They're old and dated looking to me. I want to see modern rigs, such as the new Western Star 5700XE. To that end, how about some pickup kits from this decade? Ram trucks, new generation GM trucks, and heaven forbid...Fords.
  6. Super slow progress, but here's where it's at now. Have some painting done. Frame and suspension are complete. Engine has paint. I know it's not exactly Ford blue, but it's close enough for me. Body is painted too. Everything coming along well. Slow, but well. Typical. Truck's not even done, and the box is being used to store stuff.
  7. A few pics of the slow progress. In this one, tanks are finally mounted. Here's the trailer, awaiting decals and some (many) final touches.
  8. No issues here. Sold and bought a number of guitar parts this week with no problems.
  9. I'll play. Here's my office decorations. Under my monitor, a Welly diecast Porsche GT3RS and an old Matchbox VW Beetle circa 1965. Older than me! And on my shelving, some VWs. One day I'll have a split window Doka. And because it still amuses me, and many of my customers, here's what I have on my wall.
  10. I like the colour choices. Haven't seen a Mini done in a modern looking colour scheme before.
  11. I run the leasing division for one of Canada's larger vehicle lease, rental, sales, and fleet management companies. Our fleet currently has around 12,000 vehicles and 20 branches across Canada. Been here for about 6.5 years now. Before that, spent a few years in industrial sales, which I hated. Awful company, with products I could not care less about. Before that, 5 years of Porsche sales, 3 years running the detail department at a BMW dealer while completing my second university degree, 6 years of running the detail department for a Porsche/VW dealer while getting my first university degree. Before that, lot attendant/detailer at a Hyundai store for a year. Before that three years of being a stockboy at a grocery store. And that's my complete work history!
  12. Some random dude tried to take a dump in his shed. That sounds like a stupid human to me. Pretty sure that would have me fired up and using colourful language as well. Definitely would NOT be a gentleman. "I say there, good man. Might I inquire as to your activities in my domicile? I shall request that you refrain from defecating in my outbuilding!" Anyway... Today's beef: I have to go buy drywall, insulation, baseboards, and some more flooring to fix the water damage in my basement. Going to be an awesome weekend. Not.
  13. Correct! That's why wifey drives a Volvo XC90. In boring white.
  14. If I was building the real thing, this is pretty much how I would want it to look. Nicely done!
  15. I love this generation RX7. Zoom zoom indeed.
  16. I don't know man, I've spent time with a new one from work here ('16 SRT) and my kids did not enjoy the backseat headroom at all, and they're 9 and 12. Marginally better that the Challenger Scat Pack I had.
  17. Heavy rains here today. Overwhelmed our downspouts and drainage abilities. Now I have a wading pool in my basement.
  18. Yeah, I figured the top/bottom out pretty quick. Right after I opened the bag and figured out that half the pins were missing. Makes it interesting when trying to assemble! Decalling is proving to be interesting as well.
  19. Two doors, four doors...doesn't matter to me. The back seat is useless in wither case. My biggest problem is that the Charger isn't available with a manual transmission. Not even in the Hellcat. Until they fix that, and pretense of being performance oriented is just lip service. Charger with an auto transmission? At least it'll match your purse.
  20. Found it. http://www.scaleproduction.com/products/kits-transkits/jetta-vento-2n1-transkit-for-fujimi-golf-mk3/
  21. I remember there used to be a company that did a resin full Mk3 Jetta body for that kit. Saw it over at VW Vortex in a thread. Will see if I can find it. You might be able to do some cutting and splicing.
  22. Nothing too exciting, but everyone loves pics. No detailing done on these in the pics, but I've since taken care of some of that.
  23. Picked up these today. Nothing special, but I have ideas to make them interesting.
