1990 F250 Supercab 4x4 LWB

Really nicely done. I think you nailed most of the little details. I need to start thinking about those kinds of things when I build my stuff. -
Ford Transit mk2.

The reissue is out now?! Must...go...find...it. I have an original ESCI waiting for me now in the stash, and many many years ago I built the red Ford branded kit, but that one eventually got tossed. Kicking myself for that. -
Correct. Daryl and Merle were never in the comics. As for Glen and having the producers/writers kill off someone else instead, there's no way they could have done that. In the comics, literally everything that happens from this point out happens because of Glen's death by Negan. Glen's death is THE catalyst for the next 100 or so comics. The tv show deviates from the comic for sure, which makes me happy, but all of the major touchpoints and characters in the comic are happening in the tv show. They have to somewhat stay true to the plotlines. However, in the comics, Shane was never a major character. He died really early on. Hershel stuck around for quite a while. Dale would still be there. Andrea would be recently deceased. Rick would have lost an arm a couple of seasons ago. Sweet sweet Maggie would have tried to kill herself quite a while ago and shaved her head. Lots of changes. But the Glen thing, impossible to change unless they wanted a completely different storyline from here on out. And if you think Negan is crazy, you haven't met Ezekiel yet. He's not violent crazy, but he's definitely a little out there. We actually met some of his people last season. I think this season is going to be the wildest one yet.

Just about! Mine had the standard rectangular headlights. The halogens didn't show up here until 1987. I want to find that kit now!

Some company took the time to actually make a kit of the Pony?! Now that's funny. And I love it. These oddball kits are way more interesting to me, because we just just never see more than one. The Pony was kind of a turd. My very first job in the auto industry was at a Hyundai dealer here in 1990. At that time, we still saw a few of these come in. The ones that hadn't rusted apart in four years. My second car was a 1986 Hyundai Stellar, which was a more upscale version of this car, with a trunk. Super cheap to buy, fully loaded, super economical. Drove that car for a year with zero issues. Before I rolled it down a mountain. Seriously.

Is that the Tamiya kit? Really nice. -
As a reader of the comics, I knew Glen was going to die. His death at the hands of Negan is SO important to everything that happens in the comic, there is no way they could have changed this plot line for tv. Without giving much away, you're going to see some new leaders, and some intense action. As soon as we learned about Negan last year, I got crazy excited for what was coming this season. Abraham's death surprised me, as I didn't think we'd lose two people. I have to say though, I wasn't shocked. I've always seen Abraham, Eugene, Sasha, and Rosalita as "secondary" cast members. I see them as expendable. The only ones I see as being 100% immune to death right now are Rick and Darryl. The most shocking death me so far was when they found Sophia back in season 3. I got legitimately choked up on that one and didn't see it coming.

Lifelong VW nut, and I have a ton in the stash, but none completed yet! But because everyone likes pics, here's one of the kits I'll be doing eventually. This kit belonged to my late father-in-law. He used to have Beetles back in the 50s and 60s. After he passed, i was going through the garage, helping to organize, and came across a box full of models. Mostly German fighter planes, but there was a VW Kubelwagen, and this Beetle kit.

Just completed a trade with mod3l Lover and it went totally smooth. Kit arrived quickly and exactly as described, packaged safely. Would trade again. Now if only Canada Post/USPS would hurry up and get my kit to him!

Quick question. I have a couple of boxes worth of old/vintage hot rod publications. Mostly from the 70s. Muscle Car annuals, engine guidebooks, stuff like that. Lots of the annuals or special publications from Petersons. I want to offer them for trade for kits. Is this kind of thing allowed here or does it all have to be models and parts? Just want clarification before I start taking pics and posting. Thanks!

Least popular kits
iamsuperdan replied to iamsuperdan's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
You mean this one? Picked this one up, factory sealed for under $10CDN. I love these quirky kits. so any of the kits in the link I originally posted would be fun to me. The Newhart Oldsmobile, the Alf Ferrari, I think they'd be hilarious. And as a VW nut and formaer van owner, I'm actively hunting for a Magnum PI VW T3. -
Not sure if this has ever been discussed here, but a friend forwarded this link to me. And it made me chuckle. http://jalopnik.com/these-are-the-worst-selling-model-car-kits-of-all-time-1712668537 And I'm pretty sure I would gladly add at least half of these to my stash if available!
