  1. I guess you had to be there. ?
  2. I like that his reviews paint a very accurate picture of what a kit is in terms of parts, potential issues, and how it builds up. But his choice of background music is terrible. ?
  3. I've always liked red, but just never bought one for whatever reason. Closest I got was one of the special edition Ram 1500 Sports in Ignition Orange back in 2015. This was available, so I figured now was as good a time as any.
  4. Looking forward to adding a couple of these to the stash. So much potential for the aftermarket. Engines, lifts, wheels/tires, offroad equipment, camping gear, 4-dr conversion... Going with the 2-dr with Sasquatch package was the right call for sure. Start with the sportiest version, the one that hearkens back to the original.
  5. Some very cool stuff there! Get any pics of the Ranchero parked next to that green Belair? Those goofy Rancheros are awesome.
  6. Had a delivery this morning. We're building up a new service truck for our inventory, and the chassis has completed its 4X4 conversion. It's officially the most badass truck on our lot right now. 2023 F650 Supercab, high hp diesel, air brakes, air ride. 4X4 conversion from Tulsa Truck Mfg, with super singles and military wheels/tires. Soon to be getting a 14ft aluminum service body, 10k crane, and a Raptair compressor/generator unit. Makes my half ton look tiny.
  7. Sold the F150 Lariat PowerBoost. Was made an offer I couldn't refuse. Picked up a '22 F150 Lariat with the EcoBoost engine. Nicely spec'd out. 502A equipment group, FX4 package, Sport Appearance. And being a 22, still has heated steering wheel, heated mirrors, and factory nav. Can't get those for '23. Added a hard folding tonneau cover, Duratrac tires, dashcam, and full 3M front end stoneguard. Had some choice for colour, figured I'd go subtle this time. ?
  8. This wagon is awesome. I'd totally drive that as is.
  9. We have guys with Ego Boost decals on their trucks. And even more with "Eco Boss" decals. And we chuckle.
  10. Oh they're coming. I'll be ceramic coating it on Saturday, and will be taking pics afterwards.
  11. Any relation to the Henry Felson book, Hot Rod? From Goodreads... "Speed! Danger! Death! These words were splashed across the cover of Hot Rod, warning readers. Written in 1950, this book gives an historical look at the dangers of teens and reckless driving. After WWII, cars became more accessible, and teens were now hitting the roads for excitement. Many horrific accidents occurred all over the country. Felsen was specifically approached to write a book about the dangers of teen drivers. Bud Crayne was the typical tough guy with a chip on his shoulder. Dressed in a black leather jacket, black boots, and blue jeans, he was not the clean cut kid. Adults cursed him, while teens admired him. He drove fast and wild. His idea was to "drive your way out" of any trouble. While it worked for Bud, others weren't as fortunate. A couple of horrific wrecks make him question his need for speed." It's pretty good.
  12. Opening those rear wheel arches is definitely an improvement. Wheel choice and ride height look great too.
  13. Maybe it was luck, but our PC crashed just before I bought my printer. It was older, so we knew we needed to upgrade. And since I knew I was going to need to run the printing software, I made sure it could handle it. Have been using the free Chitubox with zero issues.
  14. I suppose. Myself, if I had something with that kind of power, I'd want some stopping power to match. Something more than "adequate." But like I said, to each their own. Seems to suit the owner just fine.
  15. This was in for some servicing today. Alignment, oil change. Super nice restoration, but I question why they would leave 4 wheel drum brakes. Ah well, to each their own.
  16. Another F150 Lariat. This one with the EcoBoost. Picked it up last night.
  17. Sold my truck. The Ford F150 with the PowerBoost hybrid engine is in super high demand right now. It's ridiculous. So when someone offered me more than I paid back in July when I bought it, I couldn't turn it down. 3.5 months. 12,000km total.
  18. That appears to be rust-free. Just has a crappy home paint job. Someone should save it. ?
  19. Driving around on Monday, came across a couple of old Mercedes 220s on a trailer. Very nice project for someone.
  20. Being military, I'm assuming that's 1/35 scale? Pretty cool.
  21. This thread is a great place to start. Lots of resources here. Plus, have a look in the aftermarket sections here on the forums. There are people who are assisting with design work. What exactly are you looking for? Once you have found a file to print, there are commercial printing services out there. Or if asked nicely, some of us here have done printing for others.
  22. I just finished mine. Will be featured in Issue 217 of Model Cars Magazine.
  23. Subject matter comes first for me. If it's something I want, I really don't care who the kit manufacturer is. Nor do I care if it's a curbside or a full detail. Having said that, I do like Tamiya and Fujimi kits more than the others, just because I like the subject matter, and I find the quality of their kits sets the benchmark for others to follow. Details, mold quality, fitment. No one does it better. Not to say the other brands aren't good, but some of them definitely aren't trying very hard to produce a good kit. *looks at MPC*
  24. I had a look, and both versions come with both rear spoilers.
