  1. Impressive conversion work and great color choice, like the look of stock hubcaps on modern wheels.
  2. Great idea for the Dodge L 700, just about ready for a new paint job for the new owner.
  3. This will be my third Frontier Resin Big Job build; this time it will be a '57. Cab needed the usual front end adjustments, elongating the front end, reshaping the fenders and squaring out the hood. Under the cab is shortened Mack R frame, the wider tapered out frame fits the front bumper cut outs on the Big Job and using the Dodge L 700 kit for its front and rear axles and suspension. Super Duty engine, auto trans and spoke wheels are from the Ford C series and dump truck bed from AITM. Yes, 3 donor kits plus the resin does add up in costs, but that is typical in any resin build up.
  4. Great work on the fender extensions, something I wish I had the skills to do. The sleeper is a cool extra touch!
  5. The bed was from the mpc kit, minus the fenders. As Doyle mention, the build has the "farm" or "ranch" look, not the custom "street" look that was so often used on box art.
  6. The MPC long step '72 upgraded to C 20 3/4 ton. Used period dark bronze metallic color with tu tone white roof. Replaced rear fenders with AMT GMC stepside fenders, which, IMO, look more accurate.
  7. Now that the '60 kit is available, more wishes to build this F 350 pickup. Small back window conversion plate, 17" six lug wheels, 7.50-17" tires. 9' bed would be nice, but could be accomplished with 2 kit beds and some careful measurements.
  8. Great way to get an old classic back on today's roads, modern powertrain and modern wheels, nice conversion work!
  9. Nice backdating work for the late 50's look. Front tires fill up the wheel well nicely! Ford's original turbine truck was a '59 C series. Ford CT-1100 Gas Turbine Truck Tractor - National Museum of Transportation (tnmot.org)
  10. A few of the late 70's C series kits came with no chrome parts, no big deal, except when it came to the headlight bezels, this must be one of those! Weathering and stance look great! Always liked the look of a new tire on an old weathered wheel.
  11. Anyone offering a small back window insert for the new '60 F 100? Trying to do a base model of AMT's great new kit.
  12. Very nice clean build, frame stretches make a world of difference on the long hood stars, great color choice, IMO, an underrated kit.
  13. 100% improvement over the box stock, excellent work and very accurate modifications, paint job looks perfect!
  14. The look is spot on for those field finds or old wrecking yard finds, great job Bill!
  15. Agreed, most were local gas jobs, but the trend toward diesel really took off in the mid to late 60's in the class of truck. Note sleeper on the car carrier.
  16. Very impressive modifications that really bring the original kit to a much higher level of accuracy. Bravo!
  17. Really nice to see another one of these heavy 60's Fords built, IMO, they are excellent offerings from DAN models. Good choice for donor frame and period sleeper looks right at home on this Ford 950. Very popular color choice when these were new. I believe the diesel option in '65 was the Cummins V6 and Cummins straight 6. Frame length looks perfect for a highway tractor. Very inspiring, will get around to building mine sooner after seeing this one. Great job!
  18. Finally found a good color photo of the real deal, thought I'd share. Would be nice if the older lower cab with single headlights was offered in resin.
  19. Great work on the modifications and extra detail work! A stretched frame is almost a must on these DR's!
  20. Freshened up an older Reo build, added new decals, 2 hole Budds with radial tires to give it a more modern look.
  21. Really like the subject matter and build. The pickup camper was a very popular site across the country in the 60's and 70's. Very nice work on the camper, just the right size for a F 250. Color choice and 8 lug 16" wheels and tires look very sharp! Yes, many kits require more work than expected, but the results are worth it.
  22. Very realistic representation of a workhorse after a few decades of use and a few different owners. The 8' flareside bed looks great. big thanks to Fireball for offering this never done before piece.
  23. The grill and hood for a '59 exist in 1/18 diecast offerings. I'm no 3d printer expert, but, how difficult can it be to reduce an actual already done 1/18 piece to 1/25? A big opportunity for 3d people, but, AFAIK, they have been silent on this topic
  24. I like it, very heavy duty, looks like an ex camper hauler with the mirrors. Nice wheel and tire choice, looks like 2 piece rims which were very popular in the era, the rings were always a silverish- gray color.
  25. At the same time, maybe to a 1 1/2 ton- 3 ton front end conversion.
