  1. Beautiful job on this F 350 camper, the meticulously well cared for look is very appealing.
  2. This one was fun to do. It consisted of blending the Revell KW kit with the AMT KW kit to get a fairly accurate Movin' On (second season) build. Wheels are AMT WF 22" Alcoa's and engine is an AMT Cummins 855 cu. in turbo straight 6. Rear suspension is an aftermarket Awslowe resin Torsion Bar and paint is 1974 Ford Ivy Glo from Scalefinishes. Big thanks to Force for offering his reference photos and information to make Sonny's KW become reality.
  3. Thanks for all the positive comments! Always liked the medium heavy class of truck, glad I purchased this one about 20 years ago, they are very hard to find today. Big thanks to Mr. Drennon for having the insight to create this cab. It was painted period Chevy truck colors Light Green with Fawn interior. 409 is from a '62 Bel Air kit, 5 speed and auxiliary trans from a KW. Front wheels on C 80 are modified ALF, rear wheels are standard ALF. Mirrors are scratch made from various kits. Next medium heavy I would like to do is the Dan Models (Cip) same era Ford F 700 or 850 as a tractor or dump.
  4. Excellent subject matter, this build really shows the character of these older generation of trucks. Very nice detail work all the way around, keeping close to the 50's theme.
  5. Modelhaus 1965 Chevy 2 ton has been modified to be a heavier duty C 80 tractor with 409 V8 and air brakes. Shortened Diamond Reo frame, saddletanks are AITM. Gravel trailer converted to 2 axle with aftermarket resin wheels. Inspirational photos included.
  6. It's out and available now. Great box art, rivals the original issue!
  7. Right, trying to transform a '61-'63 uni-body's into anything besides a '61-'63 uni-body ( flatbed, flareside, 4x4 etc.) has always been a pain in the ............... IMO, the concept of these trucks must have been somebody's dream of a heavy duty Ranchero.
  8. Right, but, probably easier to deal with than completely reworking the back of cab, modifying door body line and eliminating the big back window.
  9. Great vintage photo, IMO, you would be much better off with the '65-'66 Moebius cab to build a '63 "two piece" once the '60 F 100 hits the shelves.
  10. Got these caps and wheels, they are excellent 4x4 hubs and Chevy truck hubcaps for 16.5" wheels (GF4LDP7N6) by BasementResin (shapeways.com) and wheels 8-lug wheels 16.5 x 8.5 inch wheels + backs, V2 (NA7CQTW6Y) by BasementResin (shapeways.com)
  11. We now have correct 8 lug wheel and correct hubcap sources, something that did exist when this kit came out. A few very nice 1:1's still exist.
  12. Great foresight Hakan, it seems there was indeed a short time window to purchase all the pieces necessary to do a very close Rubber Duck movie truck.
  13. Fruehauf almost complete. Still waiting on front license plates to complete the KW, there was a screw up on the order.
  14. Well, you are the market group Ertl was catering too. Love to here Force's details of the short cuts taken by big plastic to cash in on movie fads.
  15. Good news to report. Too many projects has one in the works. Facebook
  16. Great box stock build!
  17. Where can I purchase this Tamiya 1/35 scale kit?? Fantastic work from start to end!
  18. Fantastic job! Very clean build and excellent detail work. The deluxe tu tone looks perfect on this and the colors looks spot on to factory Yuma Yellow and Wimbledon White. Really like the 8 lug wheel details. IMO, the best Moebius kit to date!
  19. Working on a 40' Fruehauf which seems to be the most common trailer in the series. Budd wheels will replace the AMT cast spokes. Will be under glass soon.
  20. Fantastic build Bill! Excellent detail work! It has all the right realistic touches for a mid 70's Ford, the correct period paint combo, galvanized front fender aprons and popular cyclone mags and dual exhaust!
  21. Lot of us like to cut out a big dog house in those Louisville's for a Cummins 350 or CAT 3406 upgrade!
  22. Yep. It would have been a no brainer for MPC or AMT to give us this subject back in the 70's.
  23. Clean build! Great choice on the 2 axle conversion!
  24. Great job! NIce details. Thanks for building this one, I believe it is the first one I've seen on the forum. The Louisville ( L series) is a great donor, it was actually the predecessor to the N series ( 1963-1969). Was available with Cummins, Detroit and CAT diesels.
