  1. Very nice work on this Bison. The colors and paint scheme are perfect on this build!.
  2. Cab looking good with those modifications! Like the 2 hole Budds and blue Detroit! Excellent rear tires choice, are those Double Takes?
  3. X2! Great looking old school pattern.
  4. I purchased some 5 hole and 10 hole aluminum Alcoas from keystone when they were first offered, there 10 hole wheel did have a ring around the lug nuts, which is correct I believe for one piece wheels. Their 5 hole version had no ring around the lug nuts which I assume is a lock ring type wheel. I don't believe keystone ever offered an aluminum 10 hole lock ring type wheel in 20" or 22".
  5. Thanks Hakan, your comments are always informative and appreciated. I didn't want to sand down the bump around the lug nuts because I would end up losing the chrome plating. I realize the wheels are really supposed to be polished aluminum, not chrome, but polished aluminum looks pretty shiny when they are brand new and clean. Your right the lock rings are too thick on the wheels I'm using. First photo shows the original WF ring on left. I decided to sand them down to get them closer to the wheels, thanks for the tip. It does look better.
  6. 22" Alcoa's from AMT Freightliner, Michelin Radials from the Revell KW kit and Cummins 6 cyl. and radiatior from the AMT KW kit.
  7. Great job on this vintage tractor! We don't see this style WF often, but looks very accurate and very well built. Are CF decals in its future?
  8. Excellent work! Great subject. These heavy Dodge trucks went away much too soon.
  9. Incredible scratch building going on here. Fantastic suspension and cab work! Glad you went with a leafspring rear suspension, air bags would be out of place for a vintage Pete.
  10. Finally got around to paint on the cab, front end, sleeper and frame. Usually, my builds are rattle can colors, but for this one, used scalefinishes Ford Ivy Glow via air brush. Because of the metallic nature, the color looks lighter or darker when in different light. This was a Ford truck color for '73 and '74. Last photos are what convinced me the '75 vintage KW was a lighter and brighter shade. Must have been fairly brand new by the shiny clean look of the Alcoas. IMO, the first season '73 KW ( with 50th anniv gold hood peak) was a slightly darker Ivy Bronze, a '72-'73 Ford car color. These photos were taken outside light. Will be polished out when paint is cured.
  11. Great job! Striking color combo! An owner operators dream, outstanding detail work, the long fuel tanks with the long wheelbase really make this build stand out!
  12. A great oldie from the golden age of trucking! A no nonsense fleet truck, my favorite builds. Super job on paint, tires, wheels and interior details are perfect!
  13. Got my cab, agreed, great job on this one!
  14. I agree, it looked off to me as well. Looking forward to seeing this build. Here is the only side shot I could find in a brochure.
  15. This photo shows the commonality in styling between the L and W series. Grills and bumpers in particular. Note L series below is a full hood, the AMT kit was a short hood LN version.
  16. Single headlight version would be awesome too! Again, an either or situation, anything we can get.
  17. Very nice job on the single exhaust to manifold connection! Much cleaner and better flow pattern than my S curve, an upgrade is in my WF's future!
  18. The resurrection of the '60 kit has an extra added bonus, the kit bashing factor, the bed could be used to build a very accurate '65 F 100 4x4 or a '65-'66 F 250 4x4.
  19. Your right, big plastic was into everything except the most popular wrecker in the 70's! Yes, it's beginning to change. Please Moebuis, skip the moldings on this one!
  20. I see what you mean, hard to see those details with darker color trucks, brilliant idea Hakan!
  21. I'm in on this one! Thanks for all the hard work to get it right. Been waiting a long time for the 1/25.
  22. I'm embarrassed, that's more detail than I put into my 1/25 engines. Great work!
  23. Excellent work! This combo is a time machine, takes me back to the 70's.
  24. AMT called it a "camper", IMO, the kit really had a bubbletop shell. This is a real "camper". An 8 lug F 250 version is very doable, however a real slide in camper is another story. Big plastic did a great job avoiding a real "slide in camper" in 1/25. The Lindberg Chevy camper offering was in HO scale. Another opportunity for 3d printing. Historical note, painted front bumpers were standard on base and Custom Cab models. Chrome front bumpers and side moldings ( new for '63) were optional on base and Custom Cabs.
