  1. Right, the 1960 heavies F 700 thru F 1100 used the carryover 59 grill and 58 hood. Would like to see the '59 F 800 ( first photo-blue) done in a high quality 3d resin. The medium duty 1960 F 500-F 600 ( shown in above photo-red) uses the same cab and grill as the 1960 F 100 pickup kit, just a simple fender opening enlargement is necessary for the larger 20" wheels, bumper is larger also. Hopefully the 3d printer people can do some '58 hoods and grills and a '59 hoods and grills ( both years are completely different) than the '60 version.
  2. A true classic in the golden age of trucking, excellent job, great detail work, your Carolina fleet is looking very impressive!
  3. Very impressive scratch building, excellent representation of what a '54-'60 era Pete was used for back in the day.
  4. Nice upgrades and paint scheme to an old favorite!
  5. Getting back to work on the 50's resin tanker, took a break from this build once the tractor was completed. Trailer is made up of two pieces that connect together, the front half is pretty good just required some sanding, the back half had some low spots that need attention, beginning to do the putty work.
  6. Large shell grill and large front bumper, per my previous photo. If you want to go one better, full fender L series hood, kit is a snub nose LN hood. Cool video on where the Louisvilles are built.
  7. An early 60's Chevy 2 ton is now available, very similar to the old Modelhaus '64-'66 Chevy 2 ton. Would have liked to see a separate hood, but great to see. 1/25 3D print resin NOT CAST kit Chevrolet C60 1961 Truck | eBay Would look great teamed up with the AMT haulaway trailer.
  8. A masterpiece! Workmanship and extra details are fantastic! Undetectable from the real 1:1.
  9. Thankyou! Back in '77, I remember painting the AMT kit green, slapping some decals on it and it was done. That build, long gone. In a nutshell, the AMT kit should have had a larger front bumper, larger sleeper, longer wheelbase, larger tire and wheel size, different style battery boxes, different transmission, lower cab door handles and a torsion bar rear suspension( the original non Movin On KW kit did have a torsion bar rear suspension, but was changed out in later kits). IMO, AMT probably felt in would be too expensive to retool half the existing kit, it was much easier and more profitable to just add decals.
  10. Judging by your previous 1/32 builds, there is no doubt you can pull it off, and then some. The torsion bar suspension? will probably be your next big modification. NIce work, look forward to seeing this one!
  11. This summer of '69 photo may have been the inspiration. Ford had official drag racing teams, the blue vehicles hit the eastern regions while the white vehicles hit the western regions. Like the chrome steelies on the C 900's?
  12. Same problem, cannot accept messages thru the forum and got no response going thru email thru your website. Posting a direct link to purchase your day cabs would be appreciated. Thanks
  13. Vintage photo of those ram horns on a late 50's C series Y block.
  14. Some literature of the diesel version. The 4 53 was the biggest available in the 2 ton, the 6v 53 was for the larger series. I'm sure your fabrication skills are easily up to the task of building one of these 4 cyl. detroits, mine aren't, took the easier route with gas power.
  15. Back in the day, I thought the AMT kit was correct for both series. ?
  16. Right, the newer stock version of the Revell '56 F 100 has more accurate valve covers and nice stock wheels. I used that engine in my '60 F 350 conversion, but added an IMC Dodge L 700 air cleaner.
  17. I tend to agree, AMT did a fantastic job on the proportions and details of the '53 F 100, 60 F 100 and '63 F 100 way back in the day, I guess lack of official blueprints are the culprit on today's offerings of older subjects. Too bad the '64-'72 F series was not covered way back in the day, I'm sure they would have been comparable in quality to the 3 previously mentioned.
  18. Thanks, I'm a big fan of the medium-heavy class. I'm sure your Chevy build will have the optional 4 53 Detroit.
  19. Hopefully we get a base model hubcap and separate wheel with this one, unlike all previous '67-'72 pickups, which came with full wheelcovers and mag wheels.
  20. Thankyou! I wish I had the patience for more underhood detailing and air line plumbing to do the nice cab justice. Thanks again for doing one of the very few medium-heavy conventionals, big plastic completely avoided this class, only giving us the tilt cab Ford C and Dodge L 700.
  21. Received both day and sleeper, excellent job on these! Thinking an Astro or WF frame would be good donors.
  22. You took this snap fast "for the beginner" series to the "master craftsman" series. Fantastic job, looks like a super detailed 1/25 kit.
  23. There were a few other notable trucks in the series that would be cool future builds in addition to Moose and Benji's GMC. Ones that come to mind are the long wheelbase silver and blue WF in "High Rollers", the green Reo Raider in "High Rollers", the dark blue Diamond Reo 931 in "Games", the red and white Kenworth logger in "Good for Laughs" and the long wheelbase blue Kenworth cabover in "Tattoos". Any takers??
  24. I don't think "they" will do it, but, hopefully some 3D resin people catch on. This L series photo says it all.
  25. Thanks for all the positive comments. I'm pleased with the overall look, but could have done an even more accurate replica. I took a few liberties with the extra grab handles on stacks and sleeper (mainly because there were holes already for them) and left the convex mirror attached to main mirrors that shouldn't be there. Missed that exhaust stack angle detail completely, good eye Hakan. Maybe a more accurate season 1 KW or Moose and Benjy GMC with trailer may be in the future? Anyone who tries to do a season 2 truck will quickly discover publicity photos of the season 2 truck are almost non existent. 98% of photos on the net seem to be of season 1 truck or the restored truck. Here are 2 of the season 2 KW's. Swapped out a closer looking Bingo plate.
