1972 F-250 Service Truck 4x4

Excellent detail work! Weathering is perfect for an unrestored maintained 50 year old vehicle. -
AMT 1960 3-in-1 Ford F-100 Pickup Truck
leafsprings replied to rekcirb13's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
To each is own, but I don't think the problem was with the factory. One that has been taken care and preserved in its original state looks great from the factory, especially the base models with black wall tires and painted front ends. IMO, the '57-'60 Ford pickups had a super modern look, much more modern looking than any of the competition. -
Builds from back in the day

Great collection! Custom built oversize heavy off road equipment sure does take up a lot of space. Your modified truck kits all show a lot of creativity and look sharp. -
AMT 1960 3-in-1 Ford F-100 Pickup Truck

It took a few minutes to figure out what I was looking at seeing the "camper" box art for the first time. IMO, the rear view is a dangerous marketing idea emphasizing the camper shell instead of the pickup. Hope the kats at AMT know what they're doing. Completely different selling approach compared to the '60 box art, which emphasizes the pickup, not the trailer. Don't think the "camper" is what people are looking for. We will see. -
AMT 1960 3-in-1 Ford F-100 Pickup Truck

Besides the obvious main difference of the new 2 piece cab and bed, the grill and bumper are also 2 piece with new gravel shield behind grille added. More subtle differences I see are the hood no longer has a big gapping whole for the hood side emblems, the area under the tailgate has the correct license plate opening and seat is now a separate piece. -

Thanks for posting the detailed photos . Appears to be a much better kit than the original. Great box art too. Hopefully the '63 F 100 will get the same type of 3/4 front view box art treatment too. -
New truck/trailer kits?
leafsprings replied to zaina's topic in Truck Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Why not a double shot? Very common in western states, transfer dump with pup trailer. Could be mated to any existing 3 axle truck chassis. I would prefer 70's versions. -

Question, with so many resin 2 hole wheels on the market, which ones did you use Tom? These wheels look especially nice, and the lug nuts are super detailed. -

Thanks! Coud not to have built a simple factory looking K 10 without the aftermarket help, which did not exist when these kits first came out. Tires were from Scenes Unlimited. Wheels were from Rookie Resin. Hubcaps are from Shapeways.https://www.shapeways.com/product/HFNL4WFPC/1986-chevy-blazer-hubcaps-1-25-scale?optionId=300706737&li=marketplace -

Great project, will be watching this one! Looks like all the correct parts for a mid 60's 1 ton build. Are the conversion pieces your own making? -

Ford H series, very old build.
leafsprings replied to Repstock's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Thanks for sharing this wonderful build. Really like the period "RETRAC" mirror heads with chevrons, correct style mirror brackets and air lines behind cab. Paint and detail work are outstanding and super accurate! -
1950 Ford Fire Truck

Beautiful work on this pumper! Great to see these older cabs utilized for other purposes than a 1/2 ton pickup. Everything looks spot on for a vintage rig back in the day. Really like the flow of the one piece running boards and tires and wheels chosen. -
