  1. I hope you will post pics of that car when you guys are done with it, it should be pretty fantastic!
  2. Lol, Tom
  3. I went to the storage area we keep our stuff in to find a couple crawler motors I was missing and found one of them as well as a scraper/squeegie that I thought went to the crusher with my Lebaron in '04.
  4. One thing to keep in mind Harry, The USPS also does some of Fed-UPS shipping for them, especially to small, rural towns like the one Mom grew up in. Fed-UPS wouldn't bother dispatching a truck theredue to costs, but they have their little P.O. right on the main drag to pick up packages up at. With Fed-UPS, my cousin would have to drive 20+min to get packages at a town big enough to "deserve" a store.
  5. My employer still uses it heavily, we sell alot via E-Bay and use USPS for shipping. We regularly have 2 heaping weekday pickups (w/morning delivery) as well as a Saturday P/U and Delivery, if there were Sunday service, we'd likely have stuff going out then too.
  6. Works for me, although, I do work in retail, usually have at least one weekday off, plus tend to work evening shifts, so it's all good there ;)
  7. Wouldn't being open more hours literally take an act of Con-gress to allow them to do so? It's why they're in up to their eyeballs as it is!
  8. Too bad they didn't have a stripped down, SD big block version called "The Executioner" to match, maybe something more 440 6bbl Super Bee/Road Runner or WO23/32 or COPO 427 like.
  9. Wow, it's been decades since I'd seen or heard anybody mention the Kodak Disk Camera!
  10. We got in a couple of the Burton/Keaton Movie AMT Batmobile kits at work today, I want one! Just have to wait until I get paid next Friday to get one...... o
  11. I'll have to check out the Jewel-Osco Mom and I worked at now, see if they have anything left for that.
  12. Not gonna argue that one!
  13. We also need a "I wish I could afford the kit!" option, if I could afford such a kit, I would be all over an E-Type vs the Lambo!
  14. I have to agree with Harry, couldn't justify the expence (I'll be building that little Suzuki Jimny for less, and can drive it when done!), but that would be an awesome kit!
  15. I do get concerned about the less obvious stuff, if it's hard to distinguish as a police vehicle, how does one know it's an actual cop?
  16. Let me add, I've seen more female Mustang GT owners than I have female Miata owners...........
  17. I bought a new servo for that little R/C Suzuki Jimny kit at work and left on the counter at work.....didn't realize it until I got home after we closed the store tonight...... Luckily, I have to drive by there on my day off tomorrow, so I can pick it up on my way through.
  18. That's what I like about my 200, looks like a rental, accelerates like a muscle car
  19. Best one yet!
  20. It's not hard for cardboard, we've always had a dumpster set aside for just cardboard at my HTU, I wouldn't be surprised if dealers are regulated on their disposal methods for containers that carry automotive fluids either.
  21. I'm amazed the Chrysler Pacifica is on that list, I still can't believe somebody would want one when they were still making them, let alone now?! The Aztek I can see from the TV and Utility standpoints and I still love the Magnum, despite refusing to buy any Daimler-Chrysler era Mopar.
  22. Guess you've never heard of recycling then, no reason a dealership can't have a dumpster specifically for cardboard or there be something to recycle all the plastic containers used for various fluids.
  23. Depending on how any recall related to this is handled, if you want to register the affected vehicle, you may have no choice! If they treat this like some states treat recalls and emissions testing, you can not renew your cars plates until the recalls are done on your vehicle or if you haven't had the emissions testing done. Sounds like the IRS might be looking more closely at VW now too, the owners of those cars ended up with $51m in ill gotten tax breaks too!
  24. The Feds have made VW pull all fraudulently built new and used diesel cars off their sales lots since they no longer conform to US Emissions Standards, not sure if non-VW owned used lots have to do the same. If VW does "fix" these cars, power and mileage will likely suffer, as will resale value. With any luck, they will be fined severely, then probably find themselves on the wrong end of many, many lawsuits from their now quite angry customers who now have cars that are lower in value, as well will be suffering from lower mileage and performance if the computers are reflashed to eliminate that cheat code and make the emissions system work like it should be! Don't feel one bit sorry for VW itself, although I do feel bad for their dealers and salesmen, they have to deal with the buying public that either won't be told that they can't get a diesel because the cars are no longer legal for sale in the US, people who like to be jerks and give the dealership staff carp about VW's criminal activity here, and any local news agencies that smell blood and have to run off to these dealerships to see how they are handling the situations as they happen, all while having these 4 wheeled NoX factories taking up useable space on the lot as well as having to pay for the debt they incurred aquiring them that still need paying.
