That looks fantastic, was that for a Mini-Z or one if it’s competitors?!
  2. Pulled this one back out, decided to try a set of Pegasus Crossbars with narrow white stripes. These are a hair smaller than the box stock 3 spoke and the Concord’s 5 spoke wheels, but do fit the look better than the other wheels. I still need to do something for the hood, it has a bit of a dip in the hood where the engine hole is so I should have used more styrene in opening then sanded it down to fit the hood. I’m also debating about either removing the rib and either leaving the hood smooth or try to recreate it.
  3. I’d have preferred that, to be honest, though we would have been standing on our heads either way.
  4. I will say this though, that would be a much better job in Arizona this time of year bs the Midwest, especially when the battery is in the front bumper like it is on these and their siblings?
  5. The factory battery in my 200 finally gave up…….. Can’t really complain though, the car is going to turn 11 y/o next month and that battery is likely already at least that old.
  6. 200hp more than stock, instant torque I don't see a problem there, especially since it's more of a cruiser than a working truck. Wonder if "Fluffy" will be looking at one of these though, seems right up his alley and with over 290hp in this one too, should run off from even his hot rodded buses too! https://kindredmotorworks.com/models/kindred-vw-bus
  7. Yeah, I think the Phat Daddies are theeee wheel for this car!
  8. Guess it’s been a while since I last posted here about this model. Got the paint off the outside and pretty well cleaned up, but need to lay at least some primer on it to try again. This is wheels I’ve bought to try on this car today. So I tried them out tonight, I’m leaning towards the Phat Daddies on this one, and since I do have some of their disk brake sets, so I plan to put a set behind these too. Then put the Hollie’s for a 2dr that I want to eventually build from a second kit.
  9. Picked these up to see how well they would work on the AMT SnapFast Slammerz Chrysler Concord. Turns out they’re only a hair smaller than the kit suppled wheels and tires for the Concord and Street Fury!
  10. Picked these up at the club meeting tonight.
  11. One thing I never paid attention to before yesterday is that he actually changed the tone of his voice if he was voicing Bat Man or Bruce Wayne. I don’t remember Michael Keaton or Adam West doing that prior, though I’ve never seen the versions that Lewis Wilson or Robert Lowery portrayed back in the 40’s.
  12. He started earlier than ‘99, The Animated Series started in ‘92, and he did the voices in that, Batman Beyond, and a lot of the animated movies as well as video games, he even played Bruce Wayne in one of the WB/DC live action series in one of the episodes! He’s really “The Batman” for Millennials as well as younger Gen-Xers like myself, just like Adam West was for the kids that grew up with the live action series in the 60’s.
  13. What Rick said up there! May even see if there is a shop that specializes in automotive paints too, they should be able to do what he suggests and mix it up for you right there!
  14. 2 Thinks! #1. Only have a little pain left from when I tripped and fell 3 weeks ago, still taking Motrin here and there, but it's nothing like it had been even a week ago #2. Had my Traxxas Stampede out for a bashing session yesterday and hit the steps in front of the house, breaking a bearing carrier, but just happened to have a replacement on hand and will be fixing that and a couple other little issues I noticed shortly too, all at no cost since iad the stuff on had for those as well!
  15. Must be an old snap together kit then, that's how their 1/32 snap tires were done back in the day.
  16. I think they should get in contact with the Van Halen clan and license the opening to Hot for Teacher! The drum portion for when "idling" since it sounds like a V8 on nitro then add in the guitar for low speed up until 35mph https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7grUgixqH8I
  17. I just ran across this interview with Block about this car, sounds like it was quite the animal and would just destroy tires in new and unexpected ways! https://www.thedrive.com/news/the-drive-interview-ken-block-hoonigan-electrikhana
  18. Finally got around to driving my Traxxas 4-Tec 2.0 after fixing a few factory driveline related issues it took me a few years to figure out, broken parts, and a couple mods, plus trying the “trans brake” transmitter from my new No Prep R/C with it. Hadn’t driven it at all over the last 3 years, with the breakages and overheating, I had parked it not long before my niece was born and other than tinkering off and on since then, it’s just been collecting dust. This is just a taste of what it’ll now do and it’s an absolute animal now, and this is only on a 5000mAh 7.4v LiPo with only a 25c discharge rate! With a bigger or higher discharge 7.4v pack or an 11.1v will probably make it too much for the driveway here and I’m honestly not sure how come the factory tires survived the pack?! I do need to find it a new body, this Javelin body I put on it several years ago is beyond beat up now.
  19. Eh, an all new tool of a fairly modern production car and full detail vs a snapper, I’ll still get them as they come out. I just hope it has a full, swappable drivetrain and suspension and that price point.
  20. I don’t mind the golf cart sounds, I kinda enjoy the pissed off screams of a potent electric systems being driven like that. Most of the R/Cs I’ve had, as well as the most reliable I dealt with while working for a hobby shop have been electric.
  21. Is it me, or did that car seem to be more consistent in it's power delivery than any of the Subis and Fords he did this with in the past? Being electric would make a big difference, same with not having to deal with spooling up turbos like with all but the Hoonicorn's V1 time period...........
  22. Hmmm, I'm happy to see that there is now a 6BT available, been wanting to stick one in that Lindberg L-700 kit I bought over a decade ago for some time now!
  23. Am I right in assuming that he made some of the features on this car radio control?! http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-K7zwMBHehMI/UpXmtKVwkLI/AAAAAAAAEDE/HswdmHRlKHs/s640/Dean-Jeffries-05.jpg http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-WrrX9Ovb0H0/UpXm2M2AWLI/AAAAAAAAEDo/5xo8E8MbyZE/s640/Dean_Jeffries_Manta_Ray-18.jpg
  24. Hopefully there will be detail kits with motors and gearboxes that can be used for scale EV swaps!
  25. And that was only on a 2s/7.4v pack that wasn’t fully charged or using the included optional pinion (motor) gear that is optimized for that kind of battery! I also found that the “Trans Brake” feature built into the transmitter works with older receivers in other cars I have, I figured it would, but it’s good to know my suspicions were right there?
