  1. I don’t mind the golf cart sounds, I kinda enjoy the pissed off screams of a potent electric systems being driven like that. Most of the R/Cs I’ve had, as well as the most reliable I dealt with while working for a hobby shop have been electric.
  2. Is it me, or did that car seem to be more consistent in it's power delivery than any of the Subis and Fords he did this with in the past? Being electric would make a big difference, same with not having to deal with spooling up turbos like with all but the Hoonicorn's V1 time period...........
  3. Hmmm, I'm happy to see that there is now a 6BT available, been wanting to stick one in that Lindberg L-700 kit I bought over a decade ago for some time now!
  4. Am I right in assuming that he made some of the features on this car radio control?! http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-K7zwMBHehMI/UpXmtKVwkLI/AAAAAAAAEDE/HswdmHRlKHs/s640/Dean-Jeffries-05.jpg http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-WrrX9Ovb0H0/UpXm2M2AWLI/AAAAAAAAEDo/5xo8E8MbyZE/s640/Dean_Jeffries_Manta_Ray-18.jpg
  5. Hopefully there will be detail kits with motors and gearboxes that can be used for scale EV swaps!
  6. And that was only on a 2s/7.4v pack that wasn’t fully charged or using the included optional pinion (motor) gear that is optimized for that kind of battery! I also found that the “Trans Brake” feature built into the transmitter works with older receivers in other cars I have, I figured it would, but it’s good to know my suspicions were right there?
  7. Finally ran the Drag Slash today, went almost completely straight once the tires were scuffed in after the first pass down the drive!
  8. I’d be happy just to see a Pentastar in the kit or as a swap for it!
  9. Since it's the "Last of the V-8 Interceptors", wonder if we'll also get the cop versions too
  10. How about something completely different?! one of the Matchbox Subaru Sambar Kei Trucks mixed with the engine and wheels from a Hot Wheels “Altered Ego” dragster for a little Zinger Action!
  11. I did that with a few Matchbox too, really made a big difference on the Ridgeline and Renegade! Picked up one of the Hot Wheels Max Steel cast that had a crunched blister and two bent axles, finally swapped in the wheels from a Broken Promises version of the Mod Rod, which were the right width for the chassis, just has wider front “tires”. did a little detail work and swapped the wheels around, just need to drill, tap, and screw the halves together!
  12. Wait, somebody tried to repop that in resin and actually sell it?! I’ve seen better looking stuff come out of those blow-mold machines at the Museum of Science and Industry!
  13. I’d love to see a Tucker kit, I’d have to have at least one, if not a few of those!
  14. Tripped over my own feet yesterday and hit the ground like a sack of potatoes. Ended up taking today off to go to an urgent care and get X-rays taken. Looks like nothing is broken, but was recommended to get checked again if I’m not hurting any less be next week.
  15. Great! I was surprised how well it worked too and gave recently found rolls of bigger sheets that I also want to try. Sometimes I just roll it across the shavings or peel off a sheet or two and stick them to the desk top and hold the Dremel so the shavings primarily hit that.
  16. My Drag Heep is done, and I started a Mini-Me from the new Hot Wheels ‘95 XJ Cherokee casting! I’m thinking the big one is going to need a light bar and roof rack in the future too?
  17. Depending on how difficult it is to reach that mess, I’ve been finding lint rollers work great on the metal shavings from the Hot Wheels I’ve drilled and modified.
  18. A Tesla Model Y being used as a RFD vehicle and an early 70’s Buick Electra 225 coupe.
  19. Depending on who would buy them with that name, it would make for a great joke.
  20. Yup, that’s why if I ever do that ‘70 Charger kit like this, it will have a Dana 60 out back and looking at fabbing something like that for it too would be a good idea!
  21. Considering the kinds of abuse these cars take, it probably wouldn’t be a bad idea to have on a car like this.
  22. Wheel swapped a Hot Wheels ‘40 Ford Truck, put some rolling stock on it from the ‘06 GTO, which fits this trucks attitude much better, IMHO.
  23. Be interesting to hear how that turned out for the owners of the car.
  24. Is that one supposed to be Jackie Kennedy or Dr. Girlfriend/Dr. Mrs. The Monarch?
  25. I think that was the idea.
