  1. I work for a HobbyTown and am always recommending that whole lineup to folks looking to get a kid (or a few) into models. I do warn them that the '05 Impala has a shot gun, just in case, though.
  2. We've got a F-150 in the back yard that I'm surprised hasn't done that yet. I think most Fords at one time were veeeerrrry capable of that
  3. Nice build, I do like their whole line of recent snap kits from them.
  4. This, although I do enjoy "Counting Cars" from time to time too.
  5. Being all excited about being able to fill my Jeep for "only" $3.19/gal last night..........then realizing that when I bought it 10 years ago, I was filling it for well under $2.00/gallon............it could be worse though, it could be the $4.45/gal I paid at the height of the '08 gouging....er...summer driving season............
  6. LOL, those are great!
  7. I heard about that........
  8. She kinda does!
  9. Lol.
  10. The younger daughter of the owners of my store has one of those, and whenever I see it parked next to my Cherokee all I can think is "I can't believe that those two are related!" (via Renault). And speaking of choke, when she told me her's was a nearly $30k vehicle, I nearly did choke........and again when she told me that because it has AWD, it only holds 11gallons of gas! Keep in mind, my 200 cost less than that with the lifetime extended warranty, and my usual fill up on the 200 (16.9 gal.) as well as my Jeep (20.5 gal.) after a week of driving (depending on what I'm driving that week) are usually more than what that thing holds!
  11. Eh, I doubt my 200 would have faired any better, the trailer hitch would have cut through the floor or gas tank, possibility of that with fire #1. Not sure what would have handled fire #2 better than that, besides a battle tank
  12. Yup, good thing there weren't any j-walking families on my way to or from work today...........it could have looked kinda like that!
  13. ROFL, Charlie! I think that actually beats this sticker! http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o288/cordiaturboowner/XJ%20Body%20Modifications/WP_000583.jpg
  14. How was the drive to work for you guys today? Seemed like as soon as I crossed from DuPage to Kane Counties that every time I touched the very worn brakes on my Jeep, the tires locked up and slid, got a bit too aggressive with the throttle, they would spin in 4wd, manually downshift, and it would squirm as it dropped into first. I then noticed other, much newer cars and trucks (w/ABS, TC, SC, ECT) having similar problems. Turns out the plow/salt truck that was working that area lost power steering as it got started and didn't get much done on top of Kane underestimating the weather......
  15. Are you sure it wasn't Stewie driving?
  16. Should be able to use it under AMT B-Body kit from the '68 Runner to Roscoe's Police Car.
  17. Dump that Mercedes outside, move the Pontiac off the lift and into that bay, then pull my Jeep onto that lift and go to work on it! That's a whole lot nicer than crawling around on the cold concrete out back. Speaking of crawling, that fountain looks like a great place take my Comp and Night Crawlers out for a little rock work
  18. Could be the same with her on this, kinda wondering if it will be like that with 9/11 for those of us that were old enough to remember it as well as the children that have been and will be born in the following years since the attacks.
  19. Geeeeeeeeeeeez those back tires are Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide Looks good!
  20. I'm only 37, so I'm way too young to have been around then, My folks on the other hand....... Dad had been drafted into the Army and was being sworn in at the time it happened. Mom was a high school senior who was at her doctor's office getting a polio vaccine shot. While I've watched a whole bunch of the shows about the event over the years, and found out some of the audio and film from then is now on line, Mom has no interest what so ever in watching any of it, and it was bothering her that this was just about all she could find on tv no matter where she looked.
  21. We've got one or two of their Caprices at the local PD, nearly as intimidating as the Chargers once you realize what they are and that they pack Vette engines. Couldn't figure out why they bought those instead of the Taurus since we don't have a GM or Chrysler, only a Ford dealer in town until I saw the completed Rt. 64 by the county airport.........3 wide lanes in each direction with 1 curve, 1 overpass, minimal signals, businesses, and all but no housing..........it would be a great stretch of road to drive way tooooo fast, pretty sure my 200 sould easily his it's 118 mph limiter long before running out of road.
  22. Last one I saw made me nervous to stand next to it!
  23. I can use regular or premium, but prefer E85, the car runs better on that than the other two.
  24. Traffic, went and filled the 200 today and ended going during evening rush since it was the first chance I had today......... between traffic and weather it took forever. Really wish somebody would put an E85 pump closer to here........
