  1. Should be able to use it under AMT B-Body kit from the '68 Runner to Roscoe's Police Car.
  2. Dump that Mercedes outside, move the Pontiac off the lift and into that bay, then pull my Jeep onto that lift and go to work on it! That's a whole lot nicer than crawling around on the cold concrete out back. Speaking of crawling, that fountain looks like a great place take my Comp and Night Crawlers out for a little rock work
  3. Could be the same with her on this, kinda wondering if it will be like that with 9/11 for those of us that were old enough to remember it as well as the children that have been and will be born in the following years since the attacks.
  4. Geeeeeeeeeeeez those back tires are Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide Looks good!
  5. I'm only 37, so I'm way too young to have been around then, My folks on the other hand....... Dad had been drafted into the Army and was being sworn in at the time it happened. Mom was a high school senior who was at her doctor's office getting a polio vaccine shot. While I've watched a whole bunch of the shows about the event over the years, and found out some of the audio and film from then is now on line, Mom has no interest what so ever in watching any of it, and it was bothering her that this was just about all she could find on tv no matter where she looked.
  6. We've got one or two of their Caprices at the local PD, nearly as intimidating as the Chargers once you realize what they are and that they pack Vette engines. Couldn't figure out why they bought those instead of the Taurus since we don't have a GM or Chrysler, only a Ford dealer in town until I saw the completed Rt. 64 by the county airport.........3 wide lanes in each direction with 1 curve, 1 overpass, minimal signals, businesses, and all but no housing..........it would be a great stretch of road to drive way tooooo fast, pretty sure my 200 sould easily his it's 118 mph limiter long before running out of road.
  7. Last one I saw made me nervous to stand next to it!
  8. I can use regular or premium, but prefer E85, the car runs better on that than the other two.
  9. Traffic, went and filled the 200 today and ended going during evening rush since it was the first chance I had today......... between traffic and weather it took forever. Really wish somebody would put an E85 pump closer to here........
  10. There was something on ABC7 about that, IIRC Jerry Taft said it was 1965 when that happened.
  11. It is pretty wild here, I just made a quick run to Winfield and the winds were pretty strong.
  12. That it is Harry, looks like the rest of the day should be pretty nice.
  13. Looks like some sun is poking up to the West of home though!
  14. You're not kidding Harry, the way the winds were blowing here in West Chicago, I was half expecting a twister to drop in the middle school field.
  15. Is it still at the same shop, or did you rescue it and find somebody willing to actually work on it?
  16. Honestly, that's one of those things I just don't get. Why not make it look half way presentable if you're going to be putting that kind of time/money/effort to build something like that.
  17. Sounds like it would make a good phantom Roadkill project car, I think they've only had a few cars on there that they could keep the hood on for the entire show........most of those were driven during a real winter or during the spring when snow started flying.
  18. Many years back, the Winfield, IL was using one or two of the 4dr Pontiac Grand Prix's from that version of the platform as well as the second generation Chrysler Concord sedans (why not the Intrepid, I have no clue), and even supposedly had a couple of the FWD Dodge Lancer Turbo Sedans. A few people who saw my Lebaron GTS (same car, different grill, tail lights, and badges) suddenly remembered those Lancers and seemed to kind of fear them too. They had been running Crown Vics last several years and just was a new Explorer with their graphics today.
  19. That came to mind too, although this had more of a "Hold My Beer and Check This Out!" feel to it. IIRC, that Bond movie jump had been laid out on computer years before and had been done with a Javelin in the late 60's-earlier 70's barnstorming circuit prior to being done for the movie.
  20. You know what that reminds me of? http://oldmachinepress.wordpress.com/2012/10/05/chrysler-a57-multibank-tank-engine/
  21. With some of the industrial adheasives available now, the glue could be stronger than the shet metal of old everybody is getting misty eyed over.
  22. I was thinking the same thing, maybe move them up enough so that top of the wheel opening is at the bottom of the character line and the top of the flare flows out of from the top part of the fender. Don't think that would hurt the lines of the car like having the nose sit 3-4 iches higher than the tail of the car.
