  1. Now that's a meet wagon! Or, a boo-lance! Or, a bawdy hauler!
  2. Cool.

    1983 Camaro

    Nice 'maro.
  4. Fabulous!
  5. The genius of Brian Wilson will outlive us all. He's Paul McCartney's favorite composer, and George Martin is a huge fan, too. When the Beatles heard Pet Sounds it knocked them out and spurred a spirited rivalry ... Lenon and McCartney took the Beatles to a whole new level, largely due to the inspiration of Pet Sounds. If you get a chance, check out a documentary bio called "Beautiful Dreamer." It's absolutely amazing! I'm a lifelong Beach Boys fan; our children and grandchildren are, too!
  6. Nope. Take another look. It's a Chevy grille ~~ but no name or bowtie. I checked my stash and found two previous issues (including the same one depicted previously in this thread) ~ one molded in white, the other in orange. Both were packaged as "Wrecker Truck" only and have no reference to Chevy or GMC, both have no brand call-out on the instructions, and both have Chevy grilles with no name or bowtie engraving. The hoods and fenders do not have Chevy or bowtie or GMC engraving. The decal sheets make no reference to either brand. And, nowhere on either box is the typical language saying 'Chevrolet' 'Chevy' or 'GMC' is a registered trade mark of GM ... etc. Interesting that now the same kit is being reissued and marketed openly as a GMC. Is licensing getting easier? Be still my beating heart.
  7. Regarding the wrecker, note that the upcoming new release is indicated as a GMC and has a GMC grille. The previous issue was a Chevy, was it not?
  8. See y'all later! You know where you can find me.
  9. [insert missing ninja emoticon here.]
  10. Now, that's funny!
  11. Wow! You got the gold. Mine only goes up to a dollar-2-98! I know a guy with the platinum card; he has a limit of $5!
  12. Me either. (That was my point.)
  13. You didn't know what you were ranting about, you were ranting about something you didn't experience, and you were ranting based on gossip? Do you hear yourself? Does that not fit into the common description of 'troublemaker?' But yet, since you don't consider most of us your friends, you are saying that we are inconsequential? I'm offended by that. Who appointed you to decide who among us is consequential or otherwise? Just my two cents. No doubt management will not permit this post to stay once you've complained about it.
  14. Sorry I missed it. I seem to "miss" all the melt-down threads these days. Since I have no idea what you are apologizing about, I can't comment ~~~ other than to say it is big of you (and commendable) to apologize and say that you were wrong. Many people aren't capable of that.
  15. Nice job!
  16. Very nice.
  17. Perhaps, but it ain't American Idol. [insert missing ninja emoticon here.]
  18. {Referring to the above quote and all the posts related to it ...} Boy! Now this is some intelligent, relevant, informative, modelling-related mature adult discourse! Those posts should be on the Vapid Entertainment Weekly board. Or VH1. Just not what I signed up for here. I'm offended. But of course, that doesn't matter, does it?
  19. Saweeeeet!

    Son of Woody

    Nice, Dave!!
  21. Bingo! I like that. Once again, I'll have to steal that one ... Reminds me that the way to make a small fortune is to start a hobby shop with your large fortune!
  22. Will do! Already looking forward to it! Bring your models and make it a weekend. Besides the GoodGuys Model Car and Pedal Car show, we gather about 2500 1:1 rods & customs to help fill the time and provide inspiration for the modelers. And, if you're in town over that Saturday night, you've got to make the trek to the Pavilions Rock-n-Roll McDonalds Show and Shine ~ said to be the biggest, longest running, weekly free car show in the country and it happens every Saturday night. There'll be over a thousand cars on display there, too. One other thing ... same neighborhood ... Roger Penske's Motorsports Museum. Then there's our Moonlight Modelers Club meeting that Saturday night, to which you're both invited and welcome! Sorry, not much going on around here. C'mon down!
