  1. Very cool build. I'm not familiar with the reference material but after a quick search it looks like you hit the nail on the head with this one...great job!
  2. Beautiful work...I keep going back and fourth on buying the recent release of this kit...I love 95% of these cars but the front end is just ugly IMO. Still, I think I want to get one built. Anyway, great job on your build!
  3. Just finished a trade with DerthDeboblo (Ben Pewterbaugh). Good, honest trader.
  4. Wow, beautiful car!
  5. Stunning work of a unique and interesting car.

Very nice, that paint is beautiful.
  7. Very nice build...that paint sure shines.
  8. I wonder how taping the parts off you want to stay chrome and then brushing on some Liquid Gel Drano to the areas you want to remove the plating would work (or whatever your favorite chrome remover is).
  9. Very cool! Great color combo...love the vinyl top.
  10. Great build! Man Cadillac used to make some nice looking cars.
  11. Either one really...if I had a choice I'd choose the hidden headlight grille with the headlight doors open, but I'd be okay with a non-hidden headlight grille as well...I just don't want a Cobra grille. One, it's different than the GT grille, and two, I'm not looking to buy an entire kit just for the grille, especially since the Cobra kits are usually priced pretty highly when they're available.
  12. Theeeeeeeeeeeen, they're not trailer queens.
  13. OOOOOoo, very excited to see how this turns out. I'd love to build a replica myself. I've got plans and kits queued up to build the Blasphemi, Crusher Camaro, Super Bee, Finnegan's El Camino, Crop Duster, and General Mayhem (pre-hellcat swap probably), and maybe even the F-Bomb.
  14. I'm not expert on decal printing, as I've never tried it myself, but the IT guy in me recommends you check the DPI settings on the printer. Many printers have an ink saving feature that lowers the overall print quality in favor of using less ink, so just because it's advertised as a 1200 (or whatever) DPI printer doesn't necessarily mean it prints that highly without being told to do so. Check the settings and set it to the highest resolution possible and see if that doesn't help. Of course, if it's an older printer, it may just not be capable of printing in that fine of detail.
  15. I kinda like it, but I agree it'd be a LOT better with a matte clear. I'm way more into "driven" cars than I am show-quality cars and cars that have been restored beyond new. Show queens completely defeat the purpose of owning a classic car IMO...they're meant to be driven and enjoyed, not locked up and stored...show it off on the road and at the gas station, not at a car show! But hey, that's just my opinion, and those guys who build show cars that drive it a total of 5 miles on and off a trailer for the rest of their lives aren't "wrong," they just do it differently than I would. I like the patina "fad" if that's what you want to think of it as, but it's definitely not for everyone.
  16. Very nice work!
  17. Looks very nice. The paint scheme is very authentic...great job!
  18. Very nice build...I love those valve covers!
  19. Great build...I actually like the decals like that even if it was accidental...gives it a seasoned look.
  20. Awesome build! Very unique take on a great car.
  21. Very nice build...what an awesome looking car!
  22. No, but I've been on the lookout for one on the cheap.
  23. Well, I don't think it's based off of an actual car, but it looks more like a dirt track stock car than a Nascar. See if you can find some inspiration in some of these. https://www.google.com/search?q=60's+era+dirt+track+stock+cars&biw=1366&bih=668&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiFysHhkvXLAhWmmIMKHcz6BQkQ_AUIBigB
  24. If it's the kit I'm thinking of (Orange #12 car on box) it looks like a Galaxie.
